  1. Sazed explains that towards the end of The Final Empire. Sorry if I made some typos. "If my guess is correct, he would have gained a limitless supply of youth, since he was drawing on most of the power from the metal itself, rather than his own body. All he would have to do was spend the occasional bit of time aged to give himself Feruchemal storages to burn and stay young." "So," Marsh said, "just burning those storages would make him even younger than when he started?" "He would have to place that excess youth inside another Feruchemacal storage, I think," Sazed explained. "You see, Allomancy is quite spectacular—its powers usually come in bursts and flares. The lord ruler wouldn't have wanted all that youth at once, so he'd have it stored inside a piece of metal which he could slowly drain, keeping himself young. Brandon Sanderson, The Final Empire.
  2. I have no Idea, but that thought gave me an idea. What if we've seen Reya's tear before? If so, this would mean that the planets are close enough for star travel, which fits the 6th of Dusk theory that the people are from MIstborn Era 3. One way to find out your question is to ask 2 questions of Brandon A) How big is Cosmere standard? In Arcanum Unbounded, Khriss describes the systems, and says they're ___ Cosmere standard (e.i Roshar is 1.7 [made that up] Cosmere standard) and 2) How far away is Reya's tear from Roshar? Using some advanced math, you could, technically, find out how big Reya's tear is, and then compare that to Khrisses map of the Taldain System to find out if they're a similar size. The only problem would be if her maps aren't to scale.
  3. I believe that there is technically a new shard, but that there are also 2 less shards, as Ruin and Preservation are no longer shards. There are, however, effects left from both Ruin (Helmagury) and Preservation (Allomancy). Tell me if I'm misinterpreting your question, and I'll respond ASAP.
  4. Wait. Let me get this straight, So a Radient Squire beats Soulcaster? Umm, so, ya, no.
  5. Bit of a stretch, but what if having breaths gives you the ability to sense investiture? This would explain why Azure (blanking on her name) could sense people, but not Drabs. Someone should ask Brandon. Another line of questions along this line would be Can people with more breath sense people with normal amounts of investiture (e.i. people from, say, Scadrial), or just people with that extra oomph unique to Nalthains?
  6. I don't think the taste or smell would change with the color, but I don't even think Brandon knows exactly how color works with that magic system. Here's a little wacky theory, but what if the whole draining color thing is really just converting color into life? If so, then draining color would most likely get rid of color, although that's a bit of a stretch. This theory, however, explains why you never see awakeners using the thing they awaken for color.
  7. Minor Way of Kings spoilers. I haven't done a reread in awhile, but in one of the interludes for WOK, they're at the lake, and there are 3 people looking for Hoid. One of them is confirmed to be Galladon, Raoden's friend and guide from Elantris. I also believe that a WOB about perpindicularitys (sorry for bad spelling) revealed that the pool was whoever the shard on Sel's perpendicularlity.
  8. Hey, I'm that one guy who reads too fast, and then doesn't get everything the first time through.
  9. So I know there are official adventure games, but has anyone made some basic pen and paper/card games. I have a lot of free time, but not a ton of commitment to make my own. I was thinking about a basic arena game with thugs having increased stats, coinshots being able to use coins as a weapon, etc, etc. Please feel free to build off of that if you want.
  10. Granted, but in 2 years, the knowledge will begin to fade, leaving you with knowing nothing that you had learned. I wish for the power to grant myself 2 wishes.
  11. One thing I've thought about doing is, if you're somewhat sure of a theory, trying to ask a confirmation question that doesn't seem to give anything away, so that it doesn't get RAFOed. This doesn't confirm, but does help narrow things down a lot.
  12. So we know that Harmony is the combination of both Ruin and Preservation. Does this mean that Harmony's power is equal to twice as much as any other shard, or is he equally powerful as any other shard, but with different capabilities (Ruin destroys, Preservation preserves). In other words, if 2 shards tried to destroy Scadrial, could Harmony oppose them in the same way we see Ruin and Preservation oppose each other, or would he only be able to stop one at a time.
