Mid-Range Game 35: Final Flight
Furamirionind replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I like Sart's post. I also Like DA's post Just came back from a robotics meeting, and too tired to take anything seriously. Will try more tomorrow. Edit: Also, just so people aren't too confused, I don't share my gender/what pronouns I use. Call me whatever you want. I don't care. For the sake of information though, I admit I don't go as "They/Them". (though you can still call me that if you would rather stay gender Neutral) Quick writing tip: when you use pronouns, they should stay consistent throughout a paragraph, and you should put the person's name before the first instance of them in each paragraph. If you are talking about 2 people with the same pronouns in 1 paragraph, the pronouns should almost always be referring to the name most recently mentioned! [/end of tip] (I admit, I find it amusing when people argue over my gender, but that isn't why I don't share it.) (Also Ark, too bad I didn't get to meet you at the Seattle signing. Then you would know 100% : P ) -
That is literally what I have been saying this entire turn. Lol hmm Ok... I don't think... I will. I don't... you can't... I'll just pretend you didn't make that sentence, and I will focus on the one I quoted above. Lol

Mid-Range Game 35: Final Flight

You're farther caught up than me then. : P -
Thanks, I was just trying to make a vote count. Elandera, you know what else is able to avoid a hammer? 6! 6 votes is enough to avoid a hammer! Join us on Stick! Do you disagree with what I am saying, or are you just ignoring me? Devotary is a bad lynch until after Stick is dead. The best scenario is to keep it a tie, and have both die. But that leaves it to luck. Therefore, the best strategy is to lynch Stick, then lynch Devotary. Edit: @Lumgol In a tie lynch, each player has a 50% chance to die. At least 1 will die, perhaps both.

Where did you get that there is almost certainly 4 elims? A Rioter elim would work with there being 3. As would a Thug 2. I find a Lurcher or Coinshot 2 unlikely as it doubles up with Conrad, but Thug 2 doesn't double up as it protects from both Lynch and NK. Umm, I think I'll tell you tonight. PMs are nice.

1. I assume you are talking about Elandera. And just because she is confirmed good, doesn't mean her analysis can't be wrong. 2. The safest way to win is to kill Devotary tomorrow. I'm not protecting her from the lynch, I am protecting the village from your night kill... If we were to give each faction a percentage of winning right now, the village already has the greatest percentage. However, until Stick is dead, the MB still have a percentage. Once she dies, that's a faction essentially out of the game. Also, I'd have to be an idiot to try to hard defend Devotary after she outed herself as an elim. Stick was still pretending to be a Seeker. 3. While in this situation I would normally defer to someone who has experience being a GM, That only works if the GM is village aligned. Sorry. : / Edit: Also, it would make sense for there to be 3 original elims if they had vote manip and/or extra lifes.

1. Fair enough 2. Well, what's it matter to you if you share what you know now or later? 3. Can you guarantee there are 3 elims left? And how can you guarantee that? If you can, then there is a good reason to keep you alive. But if you can't we should kill you. It's as simple as that. =)

Ugh. When counting player numbers, I used the 6 next to Snipexes name, which also includes Joe... With 13 players, 3 elims: D5: 8-2-3 N5: 8-1-3 (lynch Stick) D6: 7-1-3 (elim kill) N6: 7-1-2 (lynch Devotary) D7: 6-1-2 (elim kill) N7: 6-0-2 (Lynch Maill) D8: 5-0-2 -------------- If we lynch Devotary first with 3 elims D5: 8-2-3 N5: 8-2-2 (lynch Devotary) D6: 7-2-1 (elim kill, MB kill) N6: 7-1-1 (lynch Stick) D7: 6-1-1 (elim kill) N7: 6-0-1 (Lynch Maill) D8: 5-0-1 ------------ 13 players, 2 elims: D5: 9-2-2 N5: 9-1-2 (lynch Stick) D6: 8-1-2 (elim kill) N6: 8-1-1 (lynch Devotary) D7: 7-1-1 (elim kill) N7: 7-0-1 (Lynch Maill) D8: 6-0-1 ---------------- If we lynch Devotary first with 2 elims: D5: 8-2-2 N5: 8-2-1 (lynch Devotary) D6: 7-2-0 (elim kill, MB kill) MB win the game. ----------------------------- Do you want to play a high stakes gamble, or just win the game? Worst case scenario we end up 5-2, which really isnt bad. Maill, why do you have absolutely no confidence in the village catching the elims without you? You keep saying we need you for that, and while I have not been focusing on finding elims in this part of the game, we definitely have enough info to do so. Personslly, assuming you know who all the elims are. I 100% dont think you will tell us. If we keep Stick alive, we shouldn't kill Devotary however. If the MB are confident there are 3 elims, and they know who all of them are, they can make the judgement call on who will and wont be protected. However, killing Devotary means if there are only 2 elims, the MB win. Therefore Devotary isnt on the table. If for the sake of arguement we really want to keep Stick alive today, we kill Maill. As that saves us a lynch down the line. But that raises the question, if Stick attacks someone, wont they probably just be defended unless they are a villager? Yes. So that means they will kill any villager they target, but have a 50% chance of killing an elim they target. Which gets rid of the entire point of keeping Stick alive. And now we are back to lynching stick. @Lumgol voting on Devotary is pointless. if you get a chance, could you vote on Elandera? I have a paranoid (ok, a really paranoid) theory I would like checked : )

Mid-Range Game 35: Final Flight

First of all, I dont understand why one of us has to be lying. Either we, or our damage was redirected. I wonder if 1B is still alive... Also, I claimed to have shot down 1B a while ago. Before DA did. I didnt even realize that wasnt the ship I submitted my action for... -

Our shields will absorb 1 hit, regardless of how much damage. So no matter what, we have to be hit by 2 things to die assuming our shields are up. this includes the elim kill. I think I asked that in-thread? -

The problem is, if you are able to help repair a ship, you aren't a Squad Leader. The SK wants the Squad Leader dead. @Squad Leader. Please scan Drake this turn? Thx! Because of this, to hide the squad leader's identity, we can't have people volunteering. Or if they do volunteer, we have to assume some of them will break that promise. I kind of want to cast my vote on you for saying this, but I also don't want you to start killing us all next time you get in M-Bot. So I will refrain. Unfortunately, I can't read your colour thing as the colours are too similar to my eyes. But thanks to your text, I understand the part about me. : ) You suspect Rebels are flying under the radar due to low post counts? Well, Elandera and I both have been posting. I admit I didn't much over the weekend, but that's cause I am in the production crew of a show, and my theater has no data connection. : / I know I already went into detail about this in past turns. Also, flying under the radar, is just not something I do. It's no fun. Look... 10 posts above. I literally orchestrated an entire system on how we can repair our ships effectively, and not give any info to you on who the Squad Leader is. I tagged every living player in the game, and asked them to give their thoughts. If anything, that is sticking myself in the center of the conversation, not avoiding it. Your thing about me not voting on a main lynch... Honestly, I don't remember why i was voting on Sart. I think it was mainly as I trust Bard, and didn't feel like lynching Stick. But That's about as good as I can remember. Also, what distancing between Elandera and me? we have generally been agreeing on a lot of stuff? I have a village lean towards her right now just because of how much we have been mindmelding. Hmm, if my life depended on making a town core right now, I would unabashedly put Bard and Elandera in it. Hows that for distancing? : P -

Mid-Range Game 35: Final Flight
Furamirionind replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I destroyed 2B Maybe... My initial thought was we can't assume rebels are going to repair the ships, as they want any ships that aren't theirs, weakened. We also don't want Mechanics to necessarily repair the ship they were assigned, as we want them to repair the most damaged ships... So idk how to assign this well. With 17 players to start, I'll assume 3 elims + 1 SK. That sounds good to me as the Elims and SK aren't aligned and both still want each other dead. Minus the Squad leader (Who I assume for flavor purposes there is only 1) That makes at least 10 players alive that will fix ships. I assume no more than 2 mechanics. That makes 8 that we truly want to assign to ships. Each player alive has basically a 1/2 chance in being one of those 8. So we should double however many people we need to repair the ship. To repair 1 damage, 2 people. 2 Damage, 4 people, etc. We start with the lowest damaged ships and work our way up. For the sake of ease, lets go by the player list: I think these players should submit an action to Repair Fresa-5: (Fresa's get priority due to the lower health and fewer ship count) 1. Snipexe, "Scissors"2. Xinoehp512, "Llerk"3. Elandera "Bad Wolf" Brenna 4. Mailliw73, Millis “Storm” Stromberg6. Ark1002, Bard "Bastard" Dominion These players should repair Fresa-6: 7. Furamirionind, Julis "Junior" Elliot 8. Cadmium "CadCom" Compounder9. StrikerEZ, Seth "Striker" Johnson10. Young Bard, Rivelda "Topsy-Turvy" Kline11. Sart, Sarah "Seraph" Potts These players should repair Poco-1: 12. Darkness Ascendent, Noel "Skinny Ship" Miller 13. Walin, Ildem "Isekai Inbred"14. XXGaea, Iradesca "Paradise Song" Aleh15. A Joe in the Bush, Knowstoo "Number 4" Much17. Drake "" Marshall These players should repair Poco-3: All Mechanics. (In the future, if there are multiple, it would be nice to be able to coordinate them, however for now, lets just go with this.) Note: If your name is not put under the ship you were flying, you should repair the ship you were flying Except if you flew Poco-3. Let the Mechanics get that one. Your action would just be wasted. Now I am regretting not saying all this in RP, but that would have taken forever. Anyone have thoughts or greivances with the system I propose? This needs to be a second post, sorry anyway for the double. I just realized, if Fresa's take priority, the Mechanics should work on them if the same amount of damage has been done to all the ships. Therefore all players previously assigned to Fresa-5 should be assigned to Poco-3. The new setup looks like this: Repairing Fresa-5: Mechanics Repairing Fresa-6: @Lumgol @StrikerEZ @Young Bard @Furamirionind @Sart Repairing Poco-1: @Darkness Ascendant @Walin @xxGaea @A Joe in the Bush @MrakeDarshall Repairing Poco-3: @Snipexe @xinoehp512 @Elandera @Mailliw73 @Ark1002 There is a minor problem with this distribution, but I will get into that once we can see how effective/ineffective this was. -
Mid-Range Game 35: Final Flight

As the ships took off Junior saw the remaining ships they had failed to shoot down, in addition with more reinforcements. In the previous skirmish, Junior was showing off, and had nearly gotten himself killed. This time he would not be so sloppy. Unlike the previous day, comms were silent. Junior didnt think too much on it though. Perhaps these people were just more reserved than your average flight. Finally someone spoke over comms, "I've got that ship over there." Said Skinny. I looked in that direction, and saw 3 ships all approaching. "Not by yourself you dont!" Julis said, falling into position as Skinny's wingmate... No reply. "Umm, hello?" Nothing. "You know communication keeps us alive right?"... Ok then, let's try someone else. Junior opened a channel with Bad Wolf... no response there either... what was going on?! Were communications jammed? His ship broken? Nothing to do about it now. Junior Shadowed Skinny as they approached the 3 ships. Junior started to feel a strange beat in his chest as he flew forward. He knew, he could take them all by himself, he started to see red, so slowed down a little. Ok, patience. Let's take this one step at a time. The krell tried to surround them, but they flew in opposite directions, forcing the krell to split up. 1 followed Junior, while 2 followed Skinny. Junior turned upwards sharply, and kept turning until he was upside down, then above the krell, Junior pulled up, to go, er, down. The Krell, seeing they were flanked, started diving downwards. Junior cut the engines, leaving his ship in a free fall. He fired the directional thrusters and aimed himself towards where he expected the ship was going, and... He saw another ship racing towards them, panicked and fired his shot too early. The Krell however, also saw the new ship and veered off in a new direction, directly into the line of fire. The Krell ship, hit, was shieldless, and the new ship, which Junior could now see was Skinny, having shaken his tails, shot the Krell out of the sky. --------- Landing his ship, Julis was surprised to see how poorly the battle went for many of his squadmates. Something has got to change. We arent fighting as a squad! "Everyone!" Junior started, "we all survived today, and we deserve a break for a good job done! But there is always room for improvement! We have been fighting as individuals, we go out and target a semi-random ship with, or without help. This puts us and our squad at risk both to 1v1 confrontations where we are disadvantaged, and puts the rest of our squad at risk from an ambush with no one watching out backs." "From this moment on, it is important we think before we make important decisions and actions!" "While it is important to repair our ships, priority should be given to fully repairing ships rather than repairing a couple ships a little bit. That way people have as great a chance as possible of surviving an attack, and people can switch ships if theirs has low health. That also means we can get the most effective use of our Mechanics as well." Speech done, Julis looked at Steel for approval, just to see him glaring back. Junior nodded curtly at Steel, and turned away, disapointed. He would become Admiral, and that required political favor from those important, like Steel. It would just take some more time for Steel to warm up to him... (A full Role analysis to come) -

Mid-Range Game 35: Final Flight

Drake is not known for pocketing people? *cough* LG49, where he pocketed (if it can be called that) almost everyone in the Woman's Circle doc. I call it pocketing because people suspected Aesudan would have an anti-majority wincon.*cough* I have read a few of Drakes old games, and I just generally like Drakes playstyle. I would need to play with him more before I'd be confident I could analyse him though. I'd put a village read on Bard for that post, even without the hard(?) Clear. DA has been focusing hard on the Krell. This could be either village!DA having fun with the new unique mechanic, or this could be elim!DA using the Krell as an excuse to make lots of NAI content. I dont see a SK!DA however. @Squad Leader, I think you are the only one who can 100% find the SK. So make sure to use your ability on your highest SK suspicion. There is an arguement for sharing it just in case you are killed, but idk yet if that's a good idea. My thought though, is the elims dont care if you scan them, and village doesnt care if you scan them, and the elims want the SK dead almost as much as us. So the only person who will kill you is the SK. So sharing results is ok? Thoughts? Edit: sorry, I usually try to do more in depth analysis, but I only got 1 hour of sleep last night. And trying to be more active in this game as well. -
Hmm. My question is why are you suggesting this? You know full well we cant both win... so you seem to think that you can win if given 1 more cycle? If the MB actually do know who the elims are, I would start to suspect there are only 2 left alive, as that is the only way I could see the MB winning before we kill Zane. If that is the case, it is imperative we kill Zane this turn. Right now I count 14 players. If we assume 3 elims: D5: 9-2-3 N5: 9-1-3 D6: 8-1-3 ...that's 8 to 3. Pretty good all things considered. Then let's say we lynch Maill for some reason: D6: 8-1-3 N7: 8-0-3 (lynched Maill) D8: 7-0-3 N6: 6-0-3 (myslynch) D7: 5-0-3 (we should have 100% found an elim by this point at the latest) N7: 5-0-2 D8: 4-0-2 I mean, we have 1.5 myslynches. (0.5 because that turned the game into luck). And this is worst case scenarios.

Ford was a questioner, not a speech-maker. He would much rather argue with someone than rally a group to do the right thing. There was a reason why he was excused from all responsibility of saving the world. He was just lousy at those sorts of things. Anyway, he was feeling it was time to write another potential entry for the book. Probably something about how when you lose everything important in life, the only direction to go is up. As he arrived at Cottington, what he nicknamed his house, he saw a glint out of the corner of his eye, when he turned he saw nothing there. He shrugged and went inside, sat down at his desk, grabbed a quill, dipped it in ink and started writing the title. He barely even started writing the first letter when he noticed ink was streaming off the stick he was holding. This was no quill! Looking at his cylinder of quills, he saw they had all been replaced with Sticks. He checked his storage of quills for when he needed more. All of them were sticks as well. So, desperate for a quill, he went to a secret compartment he had built into his floor. He pulled up the false panel to find... his special quill! Excited, he ran over to his desk to start writing what would perhaps be his first inspirational entry. He dipped the quill in ink, but when he put it to the paper, it had ink streaming off it same as all the sticks. Annoyed, Ford tried to bite into one end of it, and found it was a painted stick, made to look like his special quill. "Funny," Ford fumed, "how just when you think like can't get any worse, it suddenly does!" He ran outside to find the thief!

"Yes! Well, no... I didnt get a great look at her..." (there it was again! Stupid Ford, Zane was male!), "sorry, I didnt get a great look at his face, however, I dont know anyone else who looks like they can catch fire during a drought. The wooden leg probably helps with that as well." "I am confidently ready to accuse Astick of secretly being Zane the Mad. Murderer, and kidnapper of Spren!"

What's wrong with me? I have actually had motivation to RP this past week! : ) I apologize my RP isnt very good. I am not sure if Fifth confiscated my shardblade because it didnt fit the setting or if it was just too powerful... but if it was the latter, don't worry, I am sure I wouldnt RP something that powerful agai... wait, you just read my RP? Oh... ----------------------------------- Ford Prefect approached the person he had been chasing. For the past 4 days and nights he had been looking for this person. "Hey you!" He called out. The figure turned around slowly. Cloak draping over their face, masking their identity. This didn't fool Ford however, he knew exactly who this was. "What have you done with Arthur Dent!?" Prefect demanded. "I dont know what you are talking about!" The voice said. Ford felt a suffocating force in his head. It made it hard to think, hard to feel. It made him want to trust this person. NO! Arthur is in trouble! Ford took a step forward. "Here is the thing," he continued, "would you rather keep Arthur and have all of history regard you as a monster, or," another step forward, "would you rather hand him over and walk away to your little life?" Ford saw anger an the figure's eyes, and knew there was no way out of this. This was going to turn In to a fight. The figure lunged, something flashing in their hand. Ford didnt flinch. Instead, he held his hand out to summon his shardblade. 2 heartbeats passed, wait, Arthur was gone. That was the entire reason he was chasing this person! The knife dug itself into Ford's chest. Ford crumpled to the ground in pain. He knew he only had moments before he blacked out from blood loss. So he pulled a stained towel out his back pocket, wrapped it around his torso twice, and tied it into a knot. "aahhhh, much better" he said. He stood up and looked at the figure, who sneered. At that moment, Ford realized he didnt have a weapon to defend himself. ok, Don't Panic. He looked around and saw someone sneaking through the bushes. Ford was confident he knew who this was as well, and... both of them at once? This was not a good sign. He started to Panic. He pulled something out of his pocket. His most treasured possession. He needed to get it back home. It had a lot of important information in it, and he couldn't allow such power to fall into the wrong hands. He opened the book to page 13, where he had a scribbled entry: Memoirs of an Ordinary Person: Article XI Now, as there is an infinite amount of space, it follows there must be an I finite amount of planets. However, as very few of these planets are inhabited, there must be a finite amount of inhabited planets. As any finite number divided by infinity is basically nothing, there must be essentially 0 people in the universe. ------ As this was read, the cloaked figure of Laili, or Vin as she was better known, disappeared into thin air. Her single remaining Dagger dropping to the ground. Ford picked it up for lack of a better weapon. And unfortunately, the person behind him was still there. This person would be much more powerful than Vin, and on top of that, it took an immense amount of mental strain to keep Vin from interfering. Ford turned around to see Zane the Mad glaring back at him. "I propose a trade" Ford said, teeth clenched in strain, "Vin for Arthur." Zane just laughed as she... wait, did Ford just think of Zane as a "she" out loud? Oops, Well, as he approached. Zane... wait, Ford had never before noticed how spindly Zane looked... oh well. Zane raised his arm and made a massive swing downwards. Luckily, this time, Prefect was prepared. He pulled a small towel out of his breast pocket (It was a large pocket), and placed it in between Zanes knife and himself. Zane looked surprised and lowered their hand somewhat. "What's that supposed to be?!" Said Zane. "Well," Ford explained, "it is..." wait, had Ford really never noticed how dry Zane looked? They looked parched! It hadn't rained in a while, but surely they were drinking water right? They looked like if you put a flame near them they would catch fire! *cough* *cough* "anyways," Ford continued, "this is a powerful tool that should imidiately frighten you and stop you from attacking me. While I might not be able to defeat you, a towel? You should be trembling!" Zane laughed and swung, aiming at Ford's face through the towel. As the blade hit the towel, it made a loud CLANG. "I probably should have mentioned... I laced this one in Zinc..." As he said this, Zane's knife rebounded back onto Zane, making a shallow cut. Not life threatening, but it would take some time to heal. And Ford ran away. Vin appearing behind him. He ran and ran, until he found the woman known as Era. "I... Just... Zane... Help..." @Elandera
