  1. I like the elefants. But only if a turtle is involed too...
  2. @Silva No problem, I'm back ^^
  3. Althea followed Ko Tiel through the Alleys to the southern gate. "Thank you. Let's meet outside the city again? It's not far and I need to go there to organize everything. And since I suspect that he will be angry, I think I could use some friendly support." @kenod As before she switched to Shadesmar to make sure she didn't leave more indications at the hideout behind than neccessary. This time she only left a note, since the Elantrian that sometimes came by there seemed to have gone away. But she grabbed more Spheres and then left again. Moving outside the city she nodded to those that had followed her call, told them where to go and what to do. Max would take over command, as soon as he was here. Then she sent Brashen away, to tell Max, that she was ready. Althea took a deep breath, inhaling stormlight. The Alleystorm was here, and that was perfect. It raged around her, like a twin to the storm inside. She had learned to soulcast years before she bonded her spren, thankful for the bond that had stopped the gradual transformation of her body. It meant, that there was no need to hold back anymore, no need to not attempt something large. She looked at the Fiend moving closer, it was too close to the Alleycity already. She observed it for a breath, judged it's velocity, the way it moved, then she kneeled down, placed both of her hands on the ground. Her plan based on two different principles. The first one: The Fiend was moving fast, that meant it would take it a bit to slow down, to stop completely. The second one: It was heavy, it needed solid ground to support itself. If that ground was gone, she counted on the fact, that it would drag itself deeper into the mud. Just like a heavy loaded cart would do, once it's wheels were stuck. And even if it managed to free itself, it would need to further slow down. She reached down into the ground, deep, and then even deeper. Wide and then even wider. The earth here belonged together, viewd itself like that and she planed to use that fact against it. Careful to leave the first few centimeteres as they were, only adding some holes here and there, as a way for the ground to escape once the Fiend stepped on this field. She concentrated on the path it's feet would take, wide enough for them to change their direction, concentrated on reaching deeper there. Then she turned a part of the earth into water, creating something like a swap, or a large field of mud, covered by a few innocent looking centimeteres. The water would seep in there, but slowly. @DarthWoodrack ============================= Brashen arrived close to Max. "It's time." he told him "Those you requested are at the place we agreed on." @I think I am here.
  4. Thanks a lot. By hand. Sadly my sewing machine can't embroider. It took me around 8 hours for the 26 symbols in total. But I'm not completely satisfied with all of them.
  5. Althea nodded. "Thank you." She walked a few steps away and then elsecalled into Shadesmar. Better to be safe than sorry, and it would definitly make it harder to follow her this way. It didn't take her long to reach the hideout and show the guards her tatoo. The nodded respectfully when she entered and Althea supressed a slight smile. She walked along the hallway, over to the one Elantrian working here. Summing up what she needed of him and when she needed it, the womans expression turned grave, then she nodded. "I'll be there." Althea made sure to exchange her dull spheres for glowing ones, before she left again. She would need a lot of stormlight for her part in the plan to work. Careful to take a different way back to Ko Tiel she smiled at him. "Done. Now to the southern gate?"
  6. Althea hurried after him and made sure to stick really close. She still remembered the faces behind the windows and they were outright scary. Being alone in this place, it would definitly be better to avoid that. "I have a question, which you don't need to answer of course. Max called you Kandra, so do you perfer a certain way to use to refer to you?"
  7. "Definitly." Althea finished her notice and put it away. "I can't tell you where exactly our hideouts are. So I can't take you there." she answered hesitantly. "I need to go to the merchants quarter first, then to the one closest to the southern gate. But that's as much as I can tell you, I'm sorry."
  8. Althea nodded. "See you there." she activated the device and concentrated on the central market square. When she arrived there, she felt like she had been turned inside out. She was used to transfering to Shadesmar, but this, this was something else. Taking deep calming breaths she started to write some messages and waited for Ko Tiel to arrive.
  9. Cool! Let's hope we don't need to "battle" each other
  10. Althea looked around, only now really taking in how much the place was destroyed. "Of course." She took the device in her hand. "Central marketplace? Or maybe at the southern gates?"
  11. Thank you. I really hope that, too.
  12. Hello and welcome to the shard! We have a gallery here, where you can post your art and there is also a section where you can post written works and ask for feedback. What other books of Brandon have you read apart from the Stormlight Archive?
  13. Althea pocketed the device Max had given her and looked at Brashen. He answered her glance rather unhappy, knew what she wanted him to do. "Go to (redacted). Tell them I need everybody able to use Aons south of the Alleycity asap. You know my passphrase and what is needed to identify yourself. This task is priority 1, they are to stop any non critical operations. They should contact the team focused on sellish research, maybe they can help as well. And tell them to bring me more spheres." She turned to Ko Tiel: "I'll follow you. To the Alleycity first, if possible." Concentrating she brought them back into the physical realm, putting on her sunglasses again.
  14. Althea stared at Max and then slowly picked up the waterskin. He ignored what had happened and so she decided to go along with that. "I can't teleport, we can either walk through Shadesmar or..." She looked over at Ko Tiel. "Do you have a way to get us to the Fiend? Preferably a some miles in front of it? I think I have an idea how to stop it or at least slow it down. Combine that with the Elantrians - maybe we can hinder it from reaching the city." Turning back to Max she added: "I know a few. Where do you need them?"
  15. I definitly, 100% support that choice! Shai is a fantastic character! @Rhapsody would you be interested to participate again?
  16. Regarding the fact, that there is no Stormlight on Earth, but that we have metal, I'm also in for the Feruchemy or Allomancy party. Putting that aside, I would like to be an Elsecaller and have a spren with me.
  17. To sum up my week: Reading books, lying in the bed, sleeping, checking the Shard. I really hope I feel good enough by tomorrow to get back to work - or at least stand up.
  18. Hello and welcome to the Shard! Which is your favourite character? And sorry, no nothern England on my part, but at least I'm also from Europe ^^
  19. Hello and welcome to the shard! That's an impressive collection you have there! If you chould choose one metal to be able to burn, which one would you choose?
  20. Althea pulled her water skin out of her bag and handed it over to Max. Voidbringer, well she had been called worse and the fact, that he hadn't tried to kill her yet, combined with the thumbs up - she filed his reaction away in the "alright" section and then turned to Ko Tiel. "Personally I follow the Council. I am here because of the alliance and I will support Hellbent, or Dwig as long as the Council wants me to do so." Smiling at Max she added, "But, I am no friend of unneccessary fighting. It's too messy and leaves to many casualities. Judging from the direction they went, they could be close to the Alleycity now, and that means there's civilians added to the calculation. An open battle is neither my style, nor am I really good at it. So if we can find a way to stop all that our way, I would support it." @I think I am here. @kenod
