  1. Althea froze at his words. Death. It had been a while since the thoight to vanish had been so alluring. Had held so much danger. It was so easy to simply let go. "Althea. Focus." Brashen whispered in her ear and she stared at him. At the man. She had managed to climb out of this pit once. It was so dark, so consuming. Max had woken it up. Max he was here as well. "No." She whispered. "There are things stronger than death. Things that let you beg your enemy for a favour. You don't need to do this. You have a choice."
  2. Althea breathed in some stormlight, offered Max her hand and elsecalled (them if you want to) them down. "Stop!!" She called. "Calm down!"
  3. Frustrated Althea stared at the closed door. That was a great answer. She grabbed her comm and contacted her lab. "Evacuate. Meet with those that left Oasis City. I'll tell you if I need you. Inform the rest. Code red." Putting the comm away she called into the air: "Sephtis! I want to talk to you! You're close? Then talk to me!!!!"
  4. Althea cursed and called after the woman. "Where is he?"
  5. Lena supressed a grin at the sight of Alask. She nodded curtly at the others. "I'll try to get into the room where they mix their potions." Pulling out a small package with plants she had bought earlier out of her pocket and putting wig on her head for a partial disguise she headed over to the hospital. "Hello." She told the clerk. "I have some herbs you might be able to use and I wanted to ask, if I could work here sometimes." The man looked her over and gestured for her to step aside. "I'll call someone. Please wait here."
  6. Althea shivvered when she remembered what he had done. At what waited for her to calm down, to grab her as soon as she had a quiet moment. Distraction only worked that long. But at least she slowly felt better, her thoughts less muddled. Unable to reply to that she shot him a weak smile. "That sounds like it will work." Concentrating for a moment she soulcast the blood covering her dress and face into dust and then tried to shake that out of her skirts, coughing when it got into her mouth. That had been stupid. She needed to focus. Entering the building she smiled at the clerk there. "Hello. We are looking for Sephtis. Is he available at the moment?" The man stared at her interested then disgusted, then replied with a cold voice: "No he isn't here at the moment. I suggest you leave." Althea quickly stepped back, instinctively pulled up her shoulders in a defensive gesture. She was used to it, she should be, but it hurt and it fed her fears and pain, her desperation. She couldn't handle that right now. Hastily she turned away. "I'll call him." She told Max and contacted Sephtis using her symbol. @Mraize @I think I am here.
  7. Althea looked over at Max. "I guess we should go in there and ask if he's here? How dangerous is it for me given the fact that I technically count as his enemy right now?" @I think I am here.
  8. Althea elsecalled them away, to the lab Max had mentioned.
  9. Althea stopped for a moment at the word lab and quickly focused on the task at hand. Breathing in more stormlight she pushed everything even farther away and nodded, then offering her hand. "Let's go there. If he's not there we can always use the symbols."
  10. "You were with him during the last days. Where is he? Where could he have gone?"
  11. *hugs* We talked on discord, so I won't add much here. Real life is always more important and if it stresses you, then stop. It's not worth it. I hope we'll stay in contact
  12. "Sephtis. Solace." Althea made a handwave indicating the corpses. Facts, facts were easier. "This was a cry for help. He only changed his behaviour when I begged him to help you. And he told me, us, to save him from his darkness. To stop him." A purpose, a purpose was good. It helped to keep it at bay. "Apart from our political differences, and all this, he asked for help. And he is a Ghostblood, I need to try to help him." She hesitated, realized she had somehow assumed Max was coming. "I mean I can always bring you whereever you want to go and look for him on my own." She stepped forward and moved her hands, almost touching his, staring at him intensly. "Sometimes the sky is green and not blue."
  13. Althea nodded unsure what to make of his reaction. Insane, for turning her insane. Was she insane? Her thoughts caught on that and she winced when it reminded her of what he had woken up. What would claim her. She couldn't return his smile, not when there was nothing left, nothing but this empty coldness, envelopping her. But she was walking that was good. Doing things was hard when there was no sense in them. "I might need help. Later. It will claim me." Her voice was distached, and she shook her head, tried to clear it further. She needed to tell him, to make him understand. "Thank you." True, but not what she wanted to say. Althea raised her hands in an apologetic gesture and then breathed in more stormlight. It helped. "Sure. Do you know where he is? Otherwise I think we could call him."
  14. It took her a moment to process his words and then she shook her head. "No. I won't leave without you. It was a mistake to do that the last time." She inhaled some stormlight, welcomed it's rage. Rage was better than nothing. Pain, that she had forgotten about, vanished as her body healed herself. Althea took another deep breath, tried to focus. Lists, lists had helped before. She sighed and then started sorting through the muddled mess of her brain. There were things she needed to tell him. She held up three fingers: "One I gave the command to evacuate the city sometime before the fighting started. I'm not sure how many managed to get out, though. Two, I am Righthand and not everyone on the council is like Lusk. Three how can I help?"

  16. Our Flightleader Noooooo!!! How can he! All come together, we need to save Doomslug!!!
  17. Lena stopped outside the hospital, a bit away as to not be suspicious. Then she turned to the others. "That's what we know: there is room in the first floor where they brew potions and keep some of their more dangerous stuff. There is a room on the groundfloor where Gonev stole what he brought to the lair. They are trusting you, if you have a good excuse why you are here, like visiting someone. As the night is falling, maybe we should team up? I guess that at night it will be quieter in there." @Badadah @Darth Woodrack @Voidus
  18. Althea saw something change in Sephtis face as he really went to help Max. The darkness, destroy me, before the darkness takes hold of me. His words. She needed to talk to him. Sometimes. And as suddenly as it had started, it was over. The desperation left, the guilt, the pain, it all subsided leaving her empty. Nothingness consumed her mind and she staggered, stumbled to the ground again. It took her a while to collect herself, but when she was able to at least think enough again, she realized that she had missed a lot. The Phoenix. she knew she should feel fear, but there was nothing, thing compared to the storm that had consumed her only moments earlier. She got to her feet and looked around. Max. He wasn't able to get out on his own. She staggered over, stumbling over a head here and a corpse there. Fire. "Max. What is going on? We need to go to Sephtis." she called his name, when she finally saw him, was he fighting? She wasn't sure, there was so much happenening. @I think I am here.
  19. My first own nintendo device was that black and white gameboy that needed four batteries. And I played tetris. Tons of hours of tetris. The N64 was better, but my mother forbade it, so it was that gameboy. My favourite games were/are pokemon gen 1 and the old zelda games. Right now if I find the time to play, I use a computer.
  20. Yeah... that simply happens Could have been me
  21. I got someone to try Brandon's books out At work, lunch break, me talking about how excited I am about Skyward, one of my colleagues replies: "I don't like fantasy." "But his books are really great. You can simply try it. I can give it to you tomorrow." "Fantasy isn't my style." "Well, there are also Snapshot and Legion..." And she will read them!!!
  22. A year, wow. Time is a strange thing... I'm somewhere in the middle of my cosmere reread, but I have to admit I got a bit distracted by Skyward (and Kingdom of Ash and the Ember Blade). So I'll finish the last two ones before it's time for Alloy of Law.
