  1. "The basilisk. He looked so sad when they killed him." Shana fell silent for a moment, content to sit there, close to him. A day, no not even a day. A couple of hours. But they meant so much to her. What if he realized, that she was different, that she was his opposite? "Ben, does it bother you that I don't read that many books?"
  2. Shana laughed. "I know that one!" She exclaimed and considered to pull a stool over for herself. But that would mean she'd have to let go of him and that was no option. "I always felt sorry for the large snake."
  3. The man led him through the city, to a small room. "Your performance was the worst I ever saw." He sighed. "We need another hand for a mission. If you mess it up, you're done. You're lucky you get a second chance at all."
  4. "I see." The man bowed to Tena again, wondered if he should take her with him to be questioned. Then he decided against it. "Please tell your friend that we would prefer if she stopped robbing the inhabitants of this city." Turning to Anthony he sighed. "Please come with me. The mission is over." @Ark1002 @Sherlock Holmes
  5. The man stared at Tena suprised by her harsh words. Unsure what to do he fidgeted with his hands, then nodded. He wasn't used to standing in front of a couple, especially not with one speaking against the other. "Uhm, yeah. I guess your wife is right. Can you explain why you acted like that?" @Ark1002 @Sherlock Holmes
  6. Shana turned around and smiled at him. "That's why I told you. I wanted you to know." Changing the topic she gestured towards his book. "What are you reading?"
  7. Lena followed him.
  8. "They're dead." She wrapped an arm around his leg, closed her eyes.
  9. "Who knows." Lena replied grinning. "I wish you a safe journey home." Laurelai didn't need any wished, Lena suspected she was more than able to take care of herself, but Lena liked her. That was enough to wish her a safe journey. Turning around she walked over to Alask. "Let's go?" @I think I am here.
  10. Shana smiled when she felt his hand on her head. "I didn't want to startle you, sorry." "I don't like being alone, I always have to think of my parents." She explained, although he hadn't asked for an explanation.
  11. The man lifted Anthony off the ground stood him on his feet. "Explain yourself, Underling." @Ark1002
  12. The one observing the situation left his spot in the sun and slowly walked over to them. The wife of the new recruit knew the thief. He suppressed a smile, it was obvious who was wearing pants in this relationship. But then married to Tena, the Underling had guts. He never met her, but like every survivor of the war, she was famous within their ranks. "Good day, ma'am." He bowed in front of Tena. "If you don't mind, could I have a word with your husband?" @Sherlock Holmes
  13. Shana followed him, but then walked over to Ben. She sat down on the floor and leaned back against the chair, reliefed to be sitting again. Smiling she rested her head against his leg and let the voices, the sounds of the house wash over her, listened to them without really thinking about the words, glad that they were here, that she wasn't alone. @Lunamor
  14. "I feel like a ninety year old woman." Shana complained, when she stood again on her own feet, her heart beating fast. This was embarressing. She'd known what could happen, but it had been distant, she hadn't expected how easy she would reach the limit of what her body could take. With a sigh she placed her foot on the next step. She'd never been that gravely injured before and if she was honest with herself, she'd been tired before they started their third round of sparring. "Thank you." She smiled at him gratefully when she finally managed to reach the bottom of the stairs.
  15. Shana gripped the handrail with both hands and slowly started to descend the stairs. She took her time, reached out for his shoulder now and then to catch her balance, made a short break, when she felt like her legs would stop working. Ben had been right, she should have stayed in her bed, but going back up was no option. It was on the last steps, that her foot slipped and her arm wasn't strong enough to keep her upright. Unceremoniously she stumbled down, into Rob.
  16. Althea turned into the direction Devaan wasn't facing, her back to Max. The tunnel made it easier, you only needed to cover two directions. There always the chance of an invisible attacker, or someone walking through Shadesmar, but still, it would be stupid to not cover their back while they waited for a reaction.
  17. Shana followed him out of the room, closed the door behind her. She took a steadying breath and walked to the stairs. They weren't long. She could do this. She had to. "Do you need help?" Rob asked and she wanted to shake her head, to tell him, that she could make it down safely on her own, but she wasn't sure about the safely part. "Only if it's not too much effort on your part."
  18. "I can't promise you that. It won't be safe. It never is, when you spy, when you betray." Mike felt cold, stared at his notebook, then looked up at Bella and smiled. "I'll try."
  19. "No." She was sure the stairs would pose a problem, but she wanted to go downstairs and so she would. "But I don't want to be alone in my room. I'm not good at being alone." She begged him with her eyes to not tell her to go back into her room, to simply let her try. The worst thing to happen was her falling down the stairs. "I can sit down there, listen to everbody talking and laughing. I can even sleep in a corner."
  20. "It will be hard to impossible to follow his footsteps with the water in the tunnel." Althea mused and looked along the tunnel. "I think Max rioting is our best option. Or we really have to start searching every little piece of rock down here." "The downside of the rioting is, that they might be able to flee before we arrive there." Do you really want to do this? We can always do this the old fashioned way. Max was strong enough to incapacitate them with his rioting, but she'd never suggest he'd do it again. Not after the last time.
  21. "No. Or if it did, I didn't listen." Amara helped Lilia back to her feet. "It simply was there, attacking us, but it tried to trap me, not to kill immediatly."
