A small aluminum box surrounded the ball within seconds, and a shadow in the air pulsed around it. The box was carried away. Dark Phoenix stepped out into the room, dark mask glinting in the light. She walked closer, cold, empirious. She gestured with one finger of her black gloves towards Bane. "You. Boy. The machine is to start soon?" ~~~ Bane gulped, trying to swallow his rage. Afterall, this woman was of the Bureau. He bowed, sweating as a spurt of fire flickered around her hand. "Yes, ma'am." She walked past, and he sighed. She doesn't seem to care about me. Better than hate. ~~~ Dark Phoenix approached, moving past scientists who cowered away from her. One bumped into her, and she turned, eyes cold. "Uh, I, um. Sorry?" Her hand snapped up, and a beam of red light shot out, killing him. The small part that was still Bellatrix hated this. He did nothing! It was a mistake. Dark Phoenix quashed that emotion, that girl. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a beer and a light. Again, Dark Phoenix quashed it. She knew that wasn't how they would rule. Alcohol and drugs would not help them gain power. She looked in as the gap in the air, connected to the machine, grew. It was almost as big as her waist, and she could see motion through it. It had a captivating beauty, spinning around, growing slowly, ever so slowly. But it would be done soon, and the Bureau would reap the rewards of the past year and a half. And the rewards would be grand. It worked of of Connection to other planets, the Cosmere, the Earths, and the others. All had Connection, using the Alleys as an inspiration, and a means to go between universes. Second, there was Fortune, massive amounts. And then, the greatest secret. The connection to the Void. ~~~ The few left within the building were herded out by security guards. The party was over. Darkness descended on the room. ~~~ The gap finally grew large enough for something to happen. It was huge, the size of three humans. And out of it, was... A strange figure, skin like the night sky, wearing a black and gold robe. His eyes were heterochromic, one the color of an amethyst, one the shade of blood. Both were pure color, no pupil or white visible. A dark blue haze, shifting quickly, seeming almost alive. It was spreading out, Dark Phoenix could tell. Almost... mistlike. And finally, a blob. Mixing blood red, the color of rust, and a red almost black through it in swirls, it had strange faces popping out on the sides. What... happened...

"Mira, you're needed to assist the Fused." The dark massive spren towered atop his spire in the Cognitive Realm. "Go now." @ShadowLord_Lith

That means that a High Epic could, with a leecher with a knife, be killed. Leecher walks up, Leecher touches him. Epic powers deactivated, Leecher stabs Epic and kills him. Done. That's the problem there. The fact that Calamity could then have destroyed Earth easily, with no need for any of his methods. Also, Calamity is in the physical realm.
