  1. Cycle 7: Twice-Saved Kaloo was again pushed towards the door. Ratel and Merad, the two biggest traders in the outpost were aided by Borter and Locke, no shrimps themselves. Kaloo couldn’t fight them off, but, oh, did he try. It was too little, too late, however, as they shoved him out the door and slammed it shut in his face, leaving him to freeze. This wasn’t the first time Kaloo had been forced outside, but that time it had just been Ratel. Now Ratel had gained support and Kaloo had no chance to get inside, not past all four. He began hoping for the Jindo man to come once again, but he knew it was a hopeless dream brought on by desperation. Meallin finally managed to clean up all those Doloken-cursed messages! The kayana folk had left them everywhere, but after a few days, the outpost was back to its regular cleanliness, much to Meallin’s satisfaction. As he finished washing the utensils, a banging noise came from the back. He spun, expecting hooded cultists to slice and dice him to pieces. What he saw instead shocked him more. Kaloo stood, blue in the lips and trembling from the cold, next to a masked man. He was bulky, muscular in the way only a man trained in war ever was. The scars that ringed his arms proved his experience. In a gravelly voice, the masked man said, “I saved him once, this makes twice. I’m beginning to get frustrated. Stop this. Kolo?” With that, the man dashed out the door, slamming it behind him, leaving Kaloo inside the outpost. Meallin was dazed. Had Kaloo really been saved a second time? He supposed Kaloo was not meant to die in the cold. Not as long as that Soldier was alive, at least. He heaped some of the surprise stew he had found on the counter into a bowl and slid it over to Kaloo and started a fire. In the morning, Meallin found another corpse outside. No, the crimson stains weren’t close enough to the corpse for them to belong to it. He approached the corpse closer and didn’t see any cuts. He rolled the body over and saw Delen clutching a sword. The man had left a couple days before and no one had heard from him since. Meallin sighed. This was why no one could leave until the cultists were taken care of. He checked the blood stains and found remnants of a cloak and bits and pieces of flesh. One of the fabric pieces was bright green: it was Alexanderand’s. He went inside and banged on the trader’s door. After no response, he used his master key to open the door. His suspicions were confirmed. The room showed signs of a struggle and Alexanderand was nowhere to be found. The cultists had sacrificed again. Alexanderand(Venture Mistborn) died! He was a Regular Trader. Kaloo(TheMightyLopen) was lynched, but survived! Delen Valaven(Kaid) froze to death! He was a Jindoeese Soldier. Votes: Kaloo(Lopen) (4): Ratel(Alv), Merad(Meta), Borter(Bort), Locke(Orlok) Merad(Meta) (1): Kaloo(Lopen) Ratel(Alvron) (1): AL(Elkanah) Player List: The cycle will end in about 24 hours from now at 22:30 GMT/15:30 MDT. 2. If you're naming dragons, how about some help on these? And
  3. Argh! This is nothing compared to you guys, but I'm just so annoyed right now. I pulled an allnighter last week to get top notch seats with my friends to our university's football game against our rivals. I was going home and visiting family eight hours away for thanksgiving and had all the plans to get back for the game via Greyhound. So, tonight, 1am, my dad and I are sitting in the McDonald's parking lot, where the website told us the bus stop was. It was supposed to leave at 1:05 and we got there at 12:45 to have plenty of time. Come 1:05 and it still hasn't shown up. We start worrying and looking around. We check the site and it says the bus left a couple minutes before. Confused, we looked at the site again and found that they changed the stop to a gas station on the other side of the freeway and that the bus left a whole 10 minutes before it was supposed to. We got on the freeway to chase the bus for a good 45 minutes and couldn't catch up to it, so we turned back. So I've definitely missed the game, but football's football; I can easily watch it again. I'm more annoyed at all the time and effort and money this took just for Greyhound to change the stop last minute and ditch me.
  4. Ah, okay, thanks guys! I wasn't aware the Panther had a helmet.
  5. Action 2: Build another mine and blacksmith in Urteau for the purposes of making armor. Action 3: Upgrade the Skaa Housing and Training Yard.
  6. Does anyone know who the guy in the black helmet is? It might be a stupid question, but I can't figure it out.
  7. This keeps coming up, so hopefully this explains it all. I realized that an invulnerable soldier on either side makes it so that the other cannot win. If it's a Trader soldier, the Cultists cannot win, because they wouldn't be able to kill the soldier, thus not winning. Even if they outnumber the traders, they technically couldn't win with an invulnerable soldier running around. The exact same thing applies to a Cultist soldier. Also, please add Hael and Elbereth to PMs as well as me so that we can be sure to catch rule violations and questions.
  8. I changed the Soldier because I realized that, in the case of a Traitor soldier, that person would be impossible to kill, if they do exist, but also because in the case of a Trader Soldier, the Cultists would have no chance to kill them either. The clarification should not impact the likelihood of Soldier(s) being on either side.
  9. Yes, Bort, it is very annoying. I can't stand it sometimes. Arrow Season Three's mid season finale was awful. It was the one that showed Ra's stab Oliver on top of the mountain. Roy's coming back?!
  10. That was a great part. Iron Man's line was right before that, when you watch it with sound.
  11. Holy storms. That line by Iron Man at the end though. Wow. That just hit me. I'm so excited for this!
  12. I knew it started on the 26th! Incomprehensible, who are you? :/
  13. Double post for separate information. From now until Friday or Saturday, Haelbarde and Elbereth will be assisting me in GMing. Either of them might be the one to post the thread. I will be helping out, but mainly in PMs. I may pop in here a couple times, but not regularly. Take whatever any of us say as Word of the GM. Also, there are no secret roles.
  14. If you said that you "vote for ____", that's what counts. Edit: I have decided on a course of action. Sorry for the slight retcon. I will fix the vote tally, but Alv did not vote. Therefore, it was 2 for no death and 2 for Creccio. A coin was flipped to determine the tie, and No Death still won. So the results are the same. Secondly, and slightly more of a deal, soldiers cannot protect the same person two consecutive nights. But since I only just decided that now, it takes effect next Cycle. Meaning that for this cycle, Soldier(s) can protect the same person that protected C1, if they desire.
  15. "No Death" was my way of wording it in the Writeup. I actually just realized that one of the votes for a no vote was vague and probably shouldn't have counted for it, making it a tie between Creccio and No Death. Anything like "I vote for no one", "I vote for peace", "I vote for no lynch" will count towards the No Death. If you're voting for no one to die, that counts as an actual vote. If you're abstaining from a vote, that doesn't count as anything. Does that make sense?
  16. Sorry, guys, I'm GMing the current SE game and now there's Thanksgiving and I'm not sure what kind of Internet I'll have. I'll do my best to at least get an Emma and Altermind post by Saturday. Sorry for the delays.
  17. Cycle 2: Meallin wasn’t happy. Aside from a few of the traders, everyone else decided not to take matters into their own hands, preferring to leave the knives for later. Kayana. Meallin was about to storm back in and steal the knife himself when voices called out against Inor Haze. The man had said he wanted to eat all the soup, and so a couple of the more hungry traders came toward him, danger in their eyes. Ratel and Jain got in front of them, holding Locke and AL back from Inor. “No, he’s right,” Ratel said. “We don’t need to kill anyone yet. The Jeskeri will do that for us. Let’s leave everyone alone for today.” The others grumbled, but eventually, left Inor alone, as well as the others. They mumbled amongst each other, eventually all heading to their separate rooms to retire for the night. Meallin himself went out to the dining room and cleaned up the utensils and dishes they had neglected to clean. As he did his duty, he heard grunts from outside the back door. Meallin ran and threw the back door open to find Merad being surrounded by hooded figures. Knives gleaming, they converged on him. Meallin cried out and the figures turned, seeing him for the first time. Some of them came toward him. He ran back inside, cowardly leaving Merad out there to die. He slammed the door and yelled for help. a handful of the traders ran to help him, but by the time they opened the door again, Merad was the only one there, the hooded figures absent. Merad was breathing heavily, frightened by the scene he had just been in. “There...was a...Jindo man. He saved me,” Merad stammered. Ah, one of those. Meallin was relieved. He had heard the rumors of the Jindoeese’s talent in combat and was glad there was one in the outpost with them. When he brought Merad back inside, he noticed a message scrawled on the table: “Adfasjcaweroqcuvsefladaschgeroqiegascadfejfrgqiwruqjhsbfadjsfbahdfgaljdbclz xjcbajdfaljsrgquywrqpifadihasdjfbajsfbqpwuiryqepufasjdbclxjcbaljgfqwurqwqerqhpsu hfasivhasjhdpqwfrpfaifhaspdiahsdpiwhdqw.” What kind of unholy script was that? One of the more kayana folk must have written it. He cursed the rulo to Doloken. Now he’d have to spend the rest of the night cleaning. Where did that Lord Ostrich and Seixa go? No one was lynched and no one died! Merad Donner was attacked, but didn't die! Votes: Lord Ostrich Malescei Tekiel (1): Kaloo(Lopen) Inor Haze (Creccio) (2): AL(Elkanah), Locke Tekiel(Orlok) Jain (Lightsworn Panda) (1): Claan(Clanky) AL (Elkanah) (1): Hellscythe No death (2): Jain, Inor Haze Ostrich and Phatt never showed up and have 1 day more before they die.
