Thoughttown's armies also need a boost. They'll be fighting zombies, dinosaurs, the undead, toys (robots and soldiers), and Chimerans. So far, Altermind's are just regular people. I'll be looking for/a thinking of an Epic to help with that. Edit: Finch, Shatter mist, Understudy, and sonic assassin all look really cool. None of them would really boost the army though. I may have to actually come up with my own! Unless,of course, Voidus has any ideas.

Hahah will he put it into action? Speaking of plans, what have you come up with for Plan Amber? Pretty much. Chimera's strength would be the least powerful and he couldn't come back to life, but he would use animals to block himself from harm. So, not really sure how it'd go. It'd depend on if people ganged up or not. That's also true. Oh. I know who I'll have them recruit. AntiSiege. Only I may change the name. I'll do both that and the patrols at the same time.

Yeah, Chi wouldn't expect everyone to fall for it. But whoever did, would give him an advantage. And maybe he lets some random creatures run loose in the city, to be called upon at need. That's true. I wasn't thinking of those. Thinking about control, I think Chi has the most, but Lightwards and Nighthound could definitely wear him out. Well, actually, now that it think about it, he could absorb traits of strength and things like that from animals to keep himself going and healing fast. Those are good ideas. I just feel like there's too many Epics already. They aren't too high on the power scale, but there's eight people to keep track of and ones stuck in a store. The patrol route idea is a good one. After Joe replies, I'll do that. I do want to involve the others as much as possible too though. Granted, two of the characters are mine and two others are pretty much that as well.

82%. That was fun! I just forgot what the last Alcatraz was and I never read the Eleventh metal, so I forgot that one. What is the one with Algorithms?

A question for Mrs. Voidus, how does Saccharine's animal power work? And How many can she control?
-
I'll come up with a list, and I'm accepting suggestions. Lots. They cost lots and lots. Like a couple thousand each. Why, no, no he doesn't. Oh, that's a really good idea. Just let them obey verbal commands but keep the mental and superior command for himself. He is infiltrating armies because they're buying the spies and traitors. I love it! that'd be a lot of fun! I have to say, I think Chi and Nighthound have the best chances of winning, but probably Chi, because if I remember right, Nighthound has a small limit of how many animals he can control at once. Every time Lightwards raises one of Chi's dead Chimerans, Chimera will just combine it with another and take control. What about TT? Does anyone have ideas for them to do? I don't know what they can do now that info is being sent to the Wackos.

Will you give me Soulswitch? If so, we have a deal. SS would be useful in controlling more of the animals. I actually just thought of something. It might be kinda hard since it should be a big deal in the city, but Chi could sell his creations to Epics and rich humans. The humans would be able to be gifted the power to control it and the Epics would figure something out. He could have a fantastical beasts farm. He would keep some, if not most, secret for himself in case he needed them, because as of now, he has a small army of beasts just waiting to be used. I can't decide now if he would sell his Chimerans. I like the idea, but he wouldn't want to give away all his secrets. Maybe there's a few hat he sells to the black market, like spy and assassin creatures.

There's your dragon, Kobold.

Chimera saw that his bunnies were doing well. He decided to go to the lab next. It wasn't really a lab, as much a big habitat that was just a large open area below ground. He could stand up above and create new Chimerans. Today's plans were exciting. He had some of the zoo guards bring a crocodile into the lab. There was a special kind of beetle he needed too, but that'd have to be last. The crocodile could very well smash the insect before the procedure was complete and then it'd just be a mess. The bat was let into the enclosure as well. Now he was ready. Chi had been preparing for this day for a long time. The guards had been gifted the strength of a male Silverback gorilla, but he didn't want to take chances. Signaling for the zoo keepers to leave the open area, he pulled out the drawing he had done over the past week. Once receiving his powers, he had begun to study different types of animals. The bombardier beetle was one special type. The sketch Chimera had was of an animal, crocodile like in the majority of its appearance, but with large wings of a bat and the feet of a bat as well. The image showed a gas emitting from the creature's mouth. That was where the beetle came in. The bombardier beetle could release boiling hot liquid from its posterior. That would be an attribute given to the dragon Chimeran's mouth. A dragon he would create. Fantastical beasts were no longer so fantastical with Chi's powers. He had horses with the horns of rhinoceroses; unicorns. He had griffins; lions and eagles combined. And now he would even have dragons. He took a deep breath and concentrated on the image. He let his power flow and watched the pen as the bat and beetle were pulled toward the crocodile. The wings expanded and grew into the crocodile's back. The legs also morphed. The beetle disappeared from view. Chi felt the dragon's presence in his mind. He could now control it. He told it to release the boiling gas. The Chimeran opened it's mouth and the gas spilled out. A dragon now finally stepped foot on earth. After ages of existing only in man's imagination, it now existed in reality.

"Hello. Would you mind dropping your guns? I'd hate to have to shoot a potential Customer, but, I need to be alive to spend my Money." Max heard a voice behind him and a rifle barrel shoved between his shoulder blades. "And I'd hate to shoot a man with whom I'd like to talk to, but I need to stay alive as well," Max replied. He did lower his guns though and put one away. "How about that? This one will point at the ground until you agree to put your rifle away, then I'll holster this one as well," said Max. He put his free hand up in the air. "I'd like to talk with you, but this isn't a good place. You never know who could be spying on you and then come up behind you and put a gun to your back."
-
Max had heard through the grapevine of Epic fighters of an informant in northeastern Portland who had contacts with the Reckoners. Max figured he'd give the man a visit and find out how to get in contact with the Reckoners. Electro deserved death, and the Reckoners were the best men for the job. They specialized in deciphering weaknesses and killing Epics. Max had heard that the informant lived in an abandoned church building. He found a motorcycle and took it to travel the distance. He arrived at the church building Aaron had specified. Max knocked on the door, pistols in both hands and ammo ready to be replaced on his back.

Okay, so that'll make for interesting interactions when they fight. When I saw your post about Warriors only being able to respond to his thoughts after multiple deaths, I wondered, why hasn't Lightwards just killed them over and over.? It seems like something he'd do and it'd be a lot more convenient. I'm glad you liked it, but also scared. Lightwards now can have a Warrior driving a truck with a speaker and mobilize zombies from all over the city. That was my first thought of how to use it. It'd also bring Alice back under his control if the truck happened. And, also, I could see Nighthound making recordings and using them to gain more soldiers. A gifter he is then. So he can give mental control of certain Chimerans to others and an give them traits. It isn't a full Gifting, where they have the ability to take traits, but Chi has to give them the specific trait. Max mainly has a vendetta against Electro right now. He would do a lot of things to make sure he was killed. If it means teaming up with an Epic who's nice by comparison, he would do it. He may end not not killing Chi either because the gifting keeps the evil under control. Dragons it is. They'll be in the next post from the zoo. And if anyone wants to have interactions with Chimera, just let me know. I'm excited. She'd have a lot of fun with that. Sounds good. I'll get a Max post up soon, I think.

How about a poll? If he does get gifting powers, he'll probably join Black Fist. Those in favor of gifting? Against? Thanks. I like those a lot. I think I might go with Chimerans. I'm glad you like it. I'm having lots of fun coming up with them. Soon I'll talk about the lions and giraffes and lots of other animals. There'll be fish that are adapted too. And I'm open to suggestions.

I am the hunter. I am the victor. Chimera repeated his morning mantra to himself as he got ready. He had taken up residence in the Oregon Zoo. It was on the very west border of Portland. With his abilities, it was one of the best places for him. He had left Billings soon after gaining his powers. There wasn't much to rule in Montana. Granted, he hadn't taken over much in Portland after arriving, but he enjoyed the coastal climate and the humidity. Argo, one of Chimera's first creations, and one Chimera had kept around, had the body of a brown bear and the poisonous fangs and tongue of a snake. He stood guard outside Chi's door, per his command. As he left his room, rabbit fur vest over his bare chest and black and white striped jeans on his legs, Argo fell in behind him. The bear walked behind him on his four legs, ready to attack intruders. Chimera sent out a mental command for Kyrie to come to him. Kyrie was a wolf with large falcon wings sprouting from his back. Another of his early creations, Kyrie was in charge of patrolling the border of the zoo with a couple of jungle cat hybrids. Chi wanted a morning report from the wolf creature. When she arrived, Chimera searched her mind for what she had seen through the night. Nothing of importance. There were no intruders or spies that she had seen. The hawks and eagles that patrolled the sky would be able to report an aerial view. Chi walked past the animals he had left in cages. Any he hadn't found a use for or ones he had relinquished his control on were in the cages. Time to check on the bunny farm. Chi expected that the pregnant one should've given birth over the night. As he arrived, he saw that he was correct. Baby rabbits with armadillo armor crawled around their mother. Other, older rabbits lived in the pen as well. Some had wings and fangs, others had poisonous skin or claws. They bred fast and acted as Chimera's light infantry and assassins if he needed it. Bunnies had never been scary before, but then he had combined them with other creatures and, added to his rat hybrids, made for a fearful vermin army.

thanks, I thought if it almost as I finished. So I had some thoughts while driving today: Should Chimera be able to gift his trait absorption or mind control powers? I thought about it and thought that it might be too many powers, but really, it'd be just extensions of his existing ones. What do you guys think? If he can gift, I thought of him joining with Black Fist, since he would be able to control the inherent evilness that came with his powers because of the gifting. Or, I originally created him to join TT to give them a power boost. Should I just let him be for now and see how it goes? As far as the mind control goes, I think if Lightwards raised an animal and Chi combined it with some other animal, he would have control of it. If Lightwards raised a dead creation of Chi's, it would be his. If Nighthound took over Chi's creation he would have control unless Chi combined it. Sound right? Kobold, how come Lightwards doesn't just kill his Warriors and raise them again and again until he is able to control them with his mental thoughts? Would hearing a recording of Lightwards's voice control Warriors? Do you guys have any ideas for what Chimera can call his creations? I want some nickname he can use. I've been using combo or hybrid so far, but I don't really like them. Chimera can technically take over humans as they are animals, but he doesn't think of them like that, so he doesn't. What about the zombie humans Lightwards raises or the soldiers Toymaker creates?

Talking with Twi, I decided that Chimera took up residence in the Oregon Zoo. It is in western Portland, south of Thoughttown. If you look at the map I made on page 39, it is near where Arlington heights is. Or just google it.

wow. No idea, but I'm excited to see him soon. One thing I'm confused on, can't Lightwards just command Alice to return to him? Here's Chimera's bio, I'll be posting his intro along with Max trying to find Gordon, later today. Epic Name: Chimera Human Name: Cadmus Potera Weakness: <PM'd to the GM> Primary Power: Chimera can combine multiple animals into one. Usually, it's only two or three, as more just creates a jumble of animal parts. If he sketches out what the final creature should look like and solidifies an image that way, he has more control over how the two animals combine. If he just combines quickly, he may get a rabbit with a rattlesnake tail instead of a furry rattlesnake. The more effort he puts into imagining and shaping the animal in his mind, the more control he has. Secondary Power: Mind control. The animals he creates are under his mind control. They obey any orders he sends. Tertiary Power: Absorbance of traits. Chimera can, after creating a creature, absorbs one of its traits. Whether it's the ability to breathe underwater or sharp fangs. When he assumes that trait, the animal loses it. He can only absorb one trait at a time. After he is finished, he can remove that trait from himself, but the animal does not get it back. Appearance: Chimera tends to wear a variety of animal print clothing and clothing with animal images. He is very into that theme. An example outfit would be a wolf shirt with a zebra striped pair of shorts. He will wear skins of animals a decent amount of time. After heavy usage of his powers, he has sometimes worn full skins. A full bearskin was what he wore, draped over his entire body once when he went on an animal creation rampage. Age: 31 Home City: Billings, Montana Interests: Hunting on occasion, drawing, painting. Job: He used to be a developing nature artist. Growing up in the outskirts of Billings, he had lots of nature to draw and paint. Weaponry: Two long, steel sabers with handles of bone sheathed on his back. Im excited to see how you guys Ponify this one. I just realized that two, and soon three, of my characters are waiting on Joe. Altermind needs Sightline to take the maps and Voidgaze, Electro needs a job from CorpseMaker, and soon, Max will be talking to Gordon.

It's very possible, they just haven't been mentioned recently,so I've forgotten about them. Yes, yes it does. Thanks. I wanted Max to meet Remington initially too, with the black fist and the pebble in the boot, I thought it'd be interesting, but I'm not sure how since Remington's always wih Funtimes.
