Tulir, I'll have Darkest see Facade then. Dang it, Joe. I'm sorry.

Here are Darkest and Empathy's icons:

Edgerunner post complete with icon is up. Here is Frequency's icon:
-
Edgerunner climbed up the wall of the alley, waiting for Shank to come running in. Shank was one of Quicksilver's minor Epics. He could make it so that anything he holds has a sharp point, hence the name. Vondra had sent her out to take him out of action. She had been assigned to be on the lookout for any of Quicksilver's minions and to kill them. Shank had been the first one she'd seen. He was reckless and arrogant, like many minor Epics. He had been coming out of a store he had raided when Edgerunner had spied him. She had lured him here by "accidentally" revealing herself in front of him, knowing that Quicksilver had her on his kill list. Shank had immediately sharpened and thrown some of the items he had stolen. Edgerunner dodged a sharpened apple, and a sharp candy bar when a battery sliced her arm. She swore and increased her speed. Shank, looking to prove himself to his boss, had chased after her. Unlucky for him, she could change her gravitational pull to help her move faster. She had run into the alley, making sure he saw her and then, increasing her friction, she climbed up the wall to wait. She pulled out both of her daggers and squatted on the edge of the roof, ready to fall on the Epic. Shank ran into the alley and looked around wildly. Edgerunner jumped above the man. He saw her shadow and looked up. He sent another battery flying towards her. She increased it's friction so that it stopped in midair. She doubled, then tripled her gravitational pull down. Shank stared at his frozen battery as Edgerunner slammed both knives into his back. She had lessened her gravity at the last second so that she wouldn't crush her legs. The force had still been enough ram the knives into Shank's back deep enough to kill him. Edgerunner yanked her knives out and headed back to Vondra's headquarters to report.
-
Okay. Shank sounds good. If you've read Maze Runner, that applies even more. I see. I assume Shank won't know he is being sent out as bait. What does he think he is doing? Okay, so Edgerunner won't notice the equipment.

Quick Fix Game 3: Shadowed Secrets
Mailliw73 replied to Gamma Fiend's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Aonar, I just looked at your record in this game. Your total record is 8-2. Woah. Mine is pretty bad. :/ -
I also agree with that. I was trying to decide who was swaying the vote. Kamden And I think Twei has been trying to sway opinions to different people. she would also be a perfect target. She wouldn't lose a power since she already had it spiked out of her and she is continually voting and swaying people.

So Quicksilver is sacrificing Shiv? (This is weird, as there is an admin who is commonly referred to as Shiv. ) And Surveillance will have set up equipment? Do the objects still look their their original objects but just function as he surveillance equipment or does it physically change shape?
-
Edgerunner would actually be sent to kill one of Quicksilver's minor Epics. If you choose one that you wouldn't mind her killing, I can start that.

Okay, cool. Empathy likes the idea that he can torture a person by inflicting pain on another. It's a very twisted sadism. He usually tortures not the person he wants to be tortures, but someone else that he has linked to them, in order for them to feel more pain. When will we see her first major POV post?Oh, and if anyone wants to meet Empathy, go right ahead. I don't know much else to do with him. I think him meting Simon could be fun. In a creepy way. Oh, oh, I have an idea. I would imagine that Simon would begin by trying to control Empathy, and when he did so, Empathy would link himself to Simon, and Simon would be controlled as well until they both reached a stalemate and agreed to stop torturing each other.

I just need a plausible reason. Altermind is meeting with Lightwards tonight, but he won't bring Travis and Kathy could go either way. If Lightwards were to kill her at the meeting, Altermind would be furious and ruin the alliance. Maybe when Alrermind leaves, Travis gets bored and goes to do some spying and Kathy follows. Would Nighthound be able to find them? If so, then, unless a new player claims them, I'll sacrifice them to Nighthound. Just after Empathy, I felt like a nicer post, but Flashpoint has nothing to say and Max is waiting. I couldn't do either of my nicer characters. Okay. Who was it that writes Quicksilver? Was it Seonid? Are there any minor Epics made up yet that she could kill?
-
Thanks, Joe. For now, I am voting Kamden to see what he says. I haven't decided my final vote yet though.
-
Does anyone have any ideas for how Kathy and/or Travis can die? That sounds cruel, but it's just a lot to keep track of. Or, if one of you newer players wants to adopt either of them or Mare, we could work that out. Thoughttown is just full of my Epics. Kobold, what kind of things would Vondra have Edgerunner doing? After that Empathy post, I want to write a badchull Max scene to make me feel better, but I don't have much for him to do until Gordon does something.
-
I didn't realize how similar Empathy and Simon's sadism was until I read your post Voidus. I'll try to make Empathy more different though as we go. Darkest will definitely be different though. Tulir, do you want to have him and Facade meet up at the beginning?

His knife spun through the air, striking the man in the back of his calf. The man cried out and his attached counterpart did the same a few feet away. Empathy grinned. He walked over and retrieved his knife. He used his power to flare pain in both of his subjects' knees. Twin screams pierced the air. All of a sudden, his targets disappeared. The street changed. Buildings were different. Empathy felt a chill breeze blow through. This was not L.A. anymore. It reminded him of his trip to San Jose when he was a child. How had he even teleported? Teleportation wasn't one of his powers. He looked around for the source of his movement and found no one. He raised the bloody knife and began walking down the street. He saw a couple fleeing down the road. He decided they could help him. He flared the pain in their knees. They tripped and fell to the ground. Empathy walked over to the young couple and smiled. "Hello down there. May I ask why you're running? Or rather, why you were." The man glared at him and spat. So that how it'd be. Empathy linked the two together and sliced the woman's Achilles' tendon. Both screamed in pain. Her pain and her hurt were replicated in his body and his sadness and anger at the cruelty were felt in hers in addition to their actual feelings. "Change your mind?" Empathy asked. "Horrible Epics. Powerful and brutal. The town is being destroyed. Möbius can't keep a hold of her city," the man said, tears welling up in his eyes. Möbius, like the loop. Maybe she was responsible for Empathy's displacement here. He decided he was done with these two and dropped his knife into the man's chest. He died instantly. The woman shrieked and passed out from the pain. Empathy reasoned that there was no reason to leave her unconscious on the road. So he slit her throat too. Blood stained his hands as it had so often since Calamity. He walked towards the action farther in town and decided he might enjoy himself here. New towns with new subjects. As he saw citizens running, he would link two randomly for fun and then cause them to fall to their knees in pain. He didn't kill any more for now, there would be time for that later. For now, he would just amuse himself.

Max began to draw his fun as he saw the man with his own waiting for them. When he saw the hostage, shirtless oddly enough, he stopped. That was not the way to handle this. Gordon seemed to recognize the man, calling him Seth. Max stood slightly behind Gordon, waiting to see what he should do. When the man shot the hostage, Max was done. He put his hand on his gun again when he heard the teleporter's voice, "My price, human, is free. You will tell me everything you know about every Epic in town, or I start killing everyone off, one by one. Starting with him. You have one minute to decide." Max felt the gun pressed to his head instantly. He took his hand off of his gun, wishing he had a knife. He didn't know what to do except let Gordon handle this Epic. This guy was quickly rising on Max's list of most hated Epics. His heart was pounding, from adrenaline and fear as much as anger. He saw the other people huddled in a corner of the food court doing something. He could only hope they were planning to help. "Woah. Calm down," Max said, slowly raising his hands in surrender, trying to be calming. "I'll help you. There's an Epic who goes by the name of Freeze. She can shoot jets of ice. One of Corpsemaker's assistant Epics, Electro, an electric Epic, recruited her from the northern part of town." Max wasn't able to keep a slight trace of hatred out of his voice as he mentioned Mel's murderer. "If you would kindly take the gun away from my head, I may be able to think better." Max knew he was taking a risk, but he knew his life would have those the moment he chose to fight the Epics.
-
Okay. That's what I thought, I just wanted to be sure.
-
What the Calamity?! A Portland family reunion? How cute. In some cases. Altermind's response is up. I'll get to Max and Electro later. Mail-mi, did Timeport put the gun up to Max or Kyle? I'll also do a Frequency or Edgerunner's post later. Wow. I have a lot to do. I didn't realize how much of my storyline in Portland relied on Joe until he posted.

As Altermind finished his sentence, Sightline teleported into the room. Without Voidgaze. "Altermind, Emperor Lightwards wants to arrange a meeting with you," Sightline said. "He is not your emperor. You do not have an emperor. I will meet with him. Did he suggest a time and place? Sightline, where is Voidgaze?" Altermind asked. He decided then that he'd have a scribe compile a list of each Epic and give a basic summary of their powers. It was too hard to have to debrief everyone each time. He wondered why Sightline had left Voidgaze. The woman was a powerful asset. Leaving her with their enemies didn't seem to be a good idea. Two more Epics sauntered into the room, a male and a female. He had his arm around her waist and he spoke up. "Altermind," he said, looking between Sightline and Altermind, seeming to try and decide which of the two standing was the leader. He decided that Altermind looked most impressive and addressed him. "We are here to join you. I'm Summoner." A sword appeared in the man's hand. "I can store things in another dimension. This is Smoke Bomb." The attractive woman stepped forwards and said, "My friends call me Smoky." Smoke began billowing out around her hands. It rose upwards and obscured her torso. These demonstrations were a good way to impress him with their powers. "We want to work with you," Summoner said. Altermind was frustrated with all these arrivals. "Yes, yes. You too. Come, sit. I'll get a handout written up with all your names and abilities," Altermind said, gesturing to a scribe. He turned back to Sightline expectantly.

I spiked Twei, as the write up from that night said. I took her lurching power and I gave it to Wilson as I knew she didn't have a very useful power. But Wilson never said anything. I'm not sure if that's because she is a Kandra or what.
-
Cool! I'll get a post up tomorrow. Joe or Voidus, do you want to post in Thoughttown? Altermind pretty much ordered Strongsteel to sit and then asked for ideas. I think Strongsteel could reply or Pan, for that matter. Otherwise, Joe should have Voidgaze and Sihtline come back.
-
If I do make that Avatar Epic, I can't decide whether I want him as a criminal or on the police force. Maybe Frequency will work with Quicksilver when he gets to town. Hmmm.
-
Storms! I thought I posted my message late enough that he wouldn't be able to change his orders. Appears not. We do know now that there are three kandra though. Edit: Wilson, did you get a spike the night cycle before this recent one? If not, I found a kandra.

Here is Frequency's bio: I think he and Aldo would get along just great.
-
That's an interesting rule, and it'll be fun to see. Does anyone good at Photoshop stuff want to combine the windrunners symbol with the Edgedancers for Edgerunner's icon? It shouldn't be too hard. I'm almost done with Frequency's bio and I'll post that tonight.
