He can, his hand, as was mentioned as an example. That's good to me. So unless he wants to go through a wall or become completely dense, he's fine. Hahah I actually name most of my Epics human names by starting with the same first letter as their Epic name. Sometimes more. Examples: Night-Mare was Maren Noles. In her case, Mare was even her nickname before Calamity. FlashPoint: Frank Ponte. Tenacity, I'm liking. I still don't feel it, but I don't know why.

Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons
Mailliw73 replied to Alvron's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I see four possible scenarios for the no kill. Three of which, I think are plausible. The most doubtful is that Kelsey is the SK or a Baron and thus, couldn't make the kill. I doubt that that's the case, as if she were a Baron, one of the others would've taken the kill. The other three possibilities as I see them are: 1. The Barons/SK wanted to wait and not worry about being caught in Raid's plan. 2. The target of the kill was protected by one of the many protection powers. 3. One of the people with negating powers made a good choice and hit the person making a kill. Those are the only reasons I can see that explain the no kill. Everyone supposed to be in the armory (Jain, Tulir, and myself) were there. I know it's early in the cycle, but I want to call out Stanley. You did post yesterday, but you didn't add much to the discussion at all. Who do you suspect? -
Chi had only barely begun making his rounds around the zoo to check on all his children when another voice yelled from the gate. "Chimera!" it shouted. "Come show yourself! I'm Timeport, and I'm here to recruit you into the Dominion!" Another? When would they learn? Chi didn't want to join any group. Not unless he had to in order to keep his children safe. As always, Argo accompanied him to the gate, and this time, Kyrie came as well. Chimera plastered on another smile, and forced himself to forget his thoughts of war. He thought of the happy moments, of his Chimerans. His smile became genuine. He signaled a guard to open the gate. A man carrying a large battle axe walked in. Chi told his two animal guards to watch closely for any signs of an attack. "Hello, Timeport, I'm Chimera. I'm not looking for any factions to join at this time, but may I be of service in another way? I have many creatures for sale that could be of use to you," Chi said in his diplomatic voice. He was growing tired of these constant recruitment messages. What did he need to do before they stopped? Hang a sign on his gate, "No recruiters, please"? Chimera realized that the axe in Timeport's hands had been strapped to Voidknight's back. He really should've had someone clean that up. Too late now. He'd just have to be ready to fight. He absorbed the speed of one of his cheetah combinations. His guards, both human and Chimeran, were ready to fight if Timeport showed signs of aggressiveness.

You know, that's true, but I'm not sure I want to deal with that much physics of it. like David says, Epics treat physics like something that happens to other people. Hmm. Juggernaut is closer to the feel I want for him, but it still doesn't feel right to me. I'll try and think of more and see if Edge or Joe has any ideas.

Thanks! I'm glad you guys like them. I'm still stuck on the density guy though. That and the entire group's name. I like something like the Obliterators, but I'm not sure about it yet. More about their organization: Black Jaguar started with his friend, Hawkwing, and began fighting leaders and strong Epics for fun, soon after Calamity rose. They moved form place to place and met up with Metalmech next, a year later. They recruited him and then began more destructive habits. With the addition of remotely controlling guns and a tank, their damage ability multiplied exponentially. Three years after starting, they found DensityGuy and added him to their ranks. Along the way, they found humans that were willing to help them. They each took responsibility for a squad of five. All twenty were convicted of murder or other similar crimes. They travel the western part of the states, destroying, looting, and razing cities for fun. I'm not sure what to do with them, but I really want to do something now.

Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons

Can anyone in those rooms account for what happened there? Something's screwy. -
Sorry, I guess Hawkwing and Metalmech are too cool. I thought about that too. He wears shirts with slits cut for his wings with a white and gold trim suit coat over top that he discards when he flies. He could fire it from its position. He can't move metal around except to control the mechanism. He can't add features to it though. If that makes sense. He can't control technology, so the laptop would only be able to be opened and such. He would have to use it regularly to actually do anything techy. Here's the last guy's power set: Any name ideas? I'm stuck on this one. Edit: that song is great,Twi! Perfect for Max. Speaking of, it's Remington's turn.
-
Here's Hawkwing's Bio: And Metalmech's: I'm working on the last Epic's bio. Any name suggestions for Metalmech? I'm not particularly fond of it. I'm also taking suggestions to name the group and the last Epic. He can create force field, go invisibile, and change density.

Long Game 9: The Empty Throne Part 1: The Barrow Barons

Woah. You two just changed your votes way too quickly and easily. At my suggestion, you jumped on Kelsey like rabid dogs. Jasnah and Aya, my suspicion of you two went up even more. Aya, you have been way too eager to switch votes whenever someone says something. You're also very protective of Loipin. This is probably the last time I'll be able to get on before the cycle ends. -

Okay. This is crazy. I don't know if it's the Barons screwing with things or just new players, but Friend. Gamma is too valuable to lose right away. I'd rather vote for someone who is jumping votes (Loipin, Aya) or for someone who is inactive (Kelsey). sorry, Kelsey, but you're no help to us if you don't do anything. For now, I'm going to let you two slide, Loipin and Aya, on the account of you being new, but I am watching you closely now. -

... I know. I'm quite upset. you already beat my streak after last game though. I still have played the most games though. Raid, I like that plan. It seems to be a good way to catch the Barons. I'll send in my order to go to the Armory then. Joe, I'm not sure if the items are thematically matching the room. We'll rotate rooms anyways. Doc. Friend, what say ye? -
Cool! I think they have had their power for a while, fourish years, but have come to the Dalles only in the last year because hey we're seeking a stable place to live. That's the only power they have, so they aren't capable of any fighting. I haven't decided on gender yet. I'll get their profile up soon. Thanks! Two of the other three Epics in the group are Hawkwing (tentative name) and a technomancer. Any ideas on names for the group?
-
What do you guys think of this? I also decided to create a group of Epics and humans who go through the country, particularly the Northwest, and raid and pillage towns. There are four Epics, each of which has five humans in his command, all of whom are killers freed from prison or mercenaries. The leader is Black Jaguar. Here's his profile: The possible powers depend on if they go to Astoria, and hence, need to be OP or not. I haven't fleshed out the other Epics' bios yet, but I'm working on them. Any ideas what to do with them?

In Portland, the time skip has happened. Altermind arrived at the meeting with Ligtwards. Remington and Alice met the Reckoners and Max. Refill tried to recruit Chi, but was turned down. Timeport is going to try next to recruit Chimera. Corpsemaker is gearing up for war. The MEE attack on TT should start soon. I think I got the main things.
-
Wow. That sounds cool. Battle Ground sounds like a place Epics would set up shop. I have the idea for a minor Epic who can quickly translate and memorize any language or code. Is there anywhere I could use them? Vondra is the first person I think of, unless there's other ideas?

Wow Joe. Just wow. luckily the milk wasn't spoiled. And it's not the real weakness anyways. Milton was furious. This Doc Oleny was an imbecile. He had to go and spill milk on Milton. He had gotten enough of that at school. The bullies had always poured their milk on him and mocked him. He hated that. This Doc seemed to be turning out much like them. I suggest we choose three people and let the seeking roles pick which one they're going to to check on. If we are almost lynching someone who is probably innocent, they can stand up for them. Or, vice versa, they can report them if they are suspicious. Just so you guys know, this weekend, I won't be able to get on too much. -
Not sure what this is, but it sounds cool...
-
I just thought of another: Someone who has an internal radar. He can sense land and other ships in the area.
-
Dang. I'm bummed. It would've been cool to see.

Then David woke up and shook his head. His dreams had only gotten weirder once Steelheart had died.

Cool! Is this going to be on What Happened in <ISLANDNAME> or in Oregon? That's interesting. Not many Epics would do that. Lightwards and Sharkbait. Plus, you stole Chi's attribute sapping power! (I'm just kidding, it's cool and different enough.)

Yay! I'm excited for this one! -
Good point. Well, let me know when you come up with something. I'm not in a hurry. You really like the idea of controlling other things, don't you? I liked it. Max noticed too, he just has a different approach and sees a kindred spirit in Remington and is innately trusting him. This MEE traitor is really piquing my curiosity now. I want to know who. The Tidebreaker's crew is shaping up nicely. They are pretty powerful. If you guys want to make the Swabber a real thing, I'm happy to do that.

Vondra can go too with Glamour and Edgerunner. Really? Cool! I'm excited. I really like your trio's posts.
