  1. Kobold, you're supposed to wait for two others to go before you go again. But it's not a huge deal. 11 Steelheart 9 Firefight 11 Nightwielder 12 Conflux 11 Instabam 7 The Pink Pinkness 0 Regalia 13 Obliteration 11 Newton 14 Dawnslight 5 Night's Sorrow 11 Prof

  3. Well she just left and I don't think flashpoint is about to go search out the Epic that just led an attack on TT. Speaking of which, I went to start an Altermind post and realized that I haven't written him since January 31st! The MEE attack on TT has been going on since January and it just ended and the attack in the MoNa hasn't even started.
  4. Haha, well, if Glamour were there, then this could be real. But Flashpoint doesn't make a habit of listening to music while on important business. He's too busy making sure he doesn't get ambushed and killed. Not really. Oh, I do remember her on the list of unclaimed Epics.
  5. I actually saw that episode with my younger brother a year or two ago. It was awesome! We really do need that. Voidus, I wouldn't be surprised if you already had an Epic like this. Finishing up the attack in TT did it for me. All I have left is Altermind sending Flashpoint to the arms dealer. So if any of you have any more ideas for that, let me know soon.
  6. Wasnt that there before? I've gotten the message on occasion when c/ping a post from my text editor here that I couldn't post the reply because it had been posted too quickly. I'm the same way. At least with papers. I currently have a teacher, who is very good, but she always requires an outline, which I hate. I already know the general direction I want to go, so I don't use an outline. If I ever write a novel though, I think I will have some vague outline of big events that need to happen. But nothing like Brandon.
  7. I've also never played a tabletop RPG, but they sound fun. What is this site update you guys are talking about? Edge, I like that icon a lot.
  8. All the cities are coming to the nighttime now. It's dusk in Astoria, but Lightwrought(is that her name?) has brightened the sky. How many days have we had in Portland a? Two or three? It's just shocking him into realizing that they aren't the most powerful ones around. Usually, when they attack a city, they only lose a couple commandos at worst. But already Hawk's died(and this is his first time in a year or so) and so has Des. He's just a lot more wary now. Sorry, that was ambiguity on my part. He's not beating Mary, exactly, but I meant that he couldn't beat Mary to Kinesis without the forcefields.
  9. Okay, I'm kinda glad for this debate as it has given me a reason and a need to flesh out Smasher's personality more. He was the Destructor most lacking, I just never got around to it. I actually think this power fits him really well. Smasher grew up with sports. His dad had trained for the Olympics, but injuries got in the way. Smasher started flag football at a very young age, progressing to tackle as he grew. He also began wrestling in high school. He was one of the star linebackers in high school too. This is where most of his strategic knowledge comes from. He learned it from football plays. He isn't the best strategist in the Destructors, but adapts very well. He had had sportsmanship drilled into him by a couple of coaches throughout his experience and winning instilled in him from his father. His father drank quite often and, whenever Smasher lost a game, he would lash out at his son. Oftentimes, he beat Smasher with his belt or his fists. Smasher has a love of playing games and a strong desire for good sportsmanship. But his desire to win is even deeper. He thinks of battles as more practical and higher stake versions of sports. When he fights, he fights to win, but to win fairly. (Well, fairly as Epic powers run.) With Vanillas, he kills mostly with his hands unless an Epic is protecting them. He thinks it unfair to use forcefields to kill them. He gets a thrill from the fight and enjoys the adrenaline rush from hand fights. With most Epics, he tends to use his hands, but may use his incorporeality as well. If an enemy can't be killed with bare hands, he realizes that winning is the most important, especially in this high stakes game. In extreme cases, he will use his forcefields to kill if there isn't any other option but to lose. That's what's happening with Mary. He's already seen Hawk and Des die, now he's a but psyched out and knows that he can't beat Mary without his forcefields. Does that explain him better? I'm quite set on the contracting forcefields now and we've worked out most of the details in the PM about the fight.
  10. Yeah, overpowered for Portland? Sure. For the Dalles? Definitely. Astoria, though? Not really. Most characters have PIs and they'd survive this. So the vote tally from those not involved in the PM is 1-0 in favor of being able to constrict forcefields. Does anyone else have an opinions? We really want to sort this out.
  11. Quick fixes are shorter, but require more effort in that shorter time. LGs tend to have more detail, but have the convenience of more time to accomplish it.
  12. I think he means lame as in a cop out and cheap way to kill. Not lame as in uncool.
  13. Yes, Kobold. Blackhoof covered the basics. The reason Smasher hasn't used this power, if he even has it, is because he prefers to kill with his hands. He'd much rather use his incorporeality and density to crush hearts and snap necks, but Mary's blood powers are making it hard for him. So in rare cases like this, where he has no other option, he'd crush opponents. But in Astoria, that isn't much for most characters. If they have impenetrable skin, it'd just close around their skin and then stop, doing nothing but hindering movement. And so on.
  14. Really? Which one? PUBLIC POLL: In the Destructors/Astoria fight, we've been discussing Smasher and are split on an issue. Namely, Smasher can, canonically, expand his forcefields after creating them. The debate is whether or not it would be logical and practical to also add in the ability for him to contract his bubbles' size after creating them. Opinions? Should War Smasher be able to contract his forcefields? -Yes -No
  15. I'm ashamed, but, if Voidus is man enough to admit it, so am I. I can read. That's right, I CAN READ!!!! And I enjoy it! Phew. That feels so much better now.
  16. News that I thought you'd all be interested in if you don't read Brandon's Twitter feed: Calamity's rough draft is done!!
  17. For Des, it was just a good karmic death for the jerk he was.
  18. Random stuff, if you didn't gather that from the title. It's essentially a place to put anything you want.
  19. Ban all the baths!! Don't worry. Edgerunner has no desire to see that either. Des has killed the Connell Epics in the nude and was killed while nude himself. Not much bette of a precedent.
  20. True. I don't really know either. Maybe it'd hold his clothes there and he'd rip through? But there's no way Edge would let that happen.
  21. You can do quite a bit of damage with blunt objects falling toward you at five times gravity. Probably not that much, since there's bound to be blood, but you get the idea. And she can stop him from moving by increasing friction of all his clothes. Edge wouldn't like it, but his powers are useful, and annoying as he might be, he is useful.
  22. Scribbler and Edgerunner both. Would Glamour care to join the Decent Epic Army that Edgerunner is starting? Just for background music purposes.
  23. I got Perfect isn't Easy. Which I can't remember for the life of me. it sounds like it might fit Lucentia though. And now I feel like an awful person.
  24. Where's the Joker in that one? YES, YES, YES! To both of those! I'd love a Deathstroke show and a Suicide Squad one. This new one for the movie looks alright, but so far, I prefer the CW's take.
