  1. Interesting that you call him Nin, I still go with Nalan. I guess you're more Shin than me? If you still need help, I can do that for you.
  2. Regular guards wouldn't, but the checkpoint guards probably would, in case of any sabotaged packages or such.
  3. If you want to find a name I've used already, the post with Flashpoint's battle against the toy soldiers is a good place to check, but it doesn't matter too much what name you use.
  4. Exactly.
  5. Mek, what did you think about all animals using the magic in small ways? I think for the otters, they'll be in two groups: green lumuoles and yellow. Green-using otters emit an aura of happiness that varies in strength from otter to otter. The aura dulls senses of fear and alertness, with greater effects in smaller creatures, that make it easier for the otters to hunt. They also can gently manipulate winds to enhance the currents around them to aid them in swimming. Both of these powers are automatically achieved through chemical signals and the aura is a constant presence. Yellow-using otters have a small, crackling electric field around them that doesn't do much on land, aside from provide the occasional shock. In water, though, the electricity is conducted much better and kills small sea creatures that get too close. Humans that get near to the otters while in the water will feel a sensation similar to a gentle tasing(if such a thing can be called gentle). Mek, what did you imagine "life" doing for green lumuole users? And what about "sovereignty"? Kobold, can this map also be linked in the OP: http://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/43660-the-diaemus-project/?p=329696 ?
  6. Are admins exempt from the filter?
  7. I've been on mobile a lot lately, so I forgot that was there.
  8. She'd be followed by guards, for sure, but they'd know she was coming. They just don't expect people to waltz through Thoughttown. But they won't impede her, knowing how powerful she is.
  9. Twi, you go first. Voidus, I like how you think.
  10. How about Funtimes shows up, cutting Altermind short? That way, I can give him a short response to Voidgaze, but it won't be a waste of a post.
  11. Either option works for me. I forgot that you were waiting on me. Twi?
  12. I was just wondering if, generally, most animals would use the magic in some small way. Or have adapted so that their bodies process the lumuoles. Depending on how it works, I'll use the otters for example, since I've thought about them more, they could use green lumuoles to manipulate wind to affect currents-which would require intent-or they could process them, making them happier and more-whatever-life-lumuoles-do. Or they could have an aura that makes others happier, usually prey, to make them easier to catch. Just some ideas. I was thinking that it'd depend on the type of lumuoles, so for the snifflers, it'd depend on where they were.
  13. Would animals like the "snifflers" or the otters use magic in some way?
  14. What did you mean to type?
  15. I was thinking like longer snouts or necks for the ones that live near more trees, not a huge difference, but enough to tell where they're from.
  16. Thanks, Kobold! And those species are awesome!
  17. Perfect! And would there have been time for them to have evolved differently if they were in the steppes as opposed to the forest? Edit: Jerric, you call the light green tropical forests, but Wikipedia calls it a tropical savanna. What's the difference?
  18. Perfect! And they eat grass and leaves? Edit: And, Kobold, if it isn't too much work, would you mind hyper linking the important posts(eg. Jerric's map/climate post, Bard's most recent map, Mek's Magic system ones, etc.) in your OP?
  19. Since otters feed on fish, I'm thinking of having two different animals be herded by my people, one(otters) that are water-based, and another that would graze on land. Any ideas for what those land ones should be?
  20. Sweet! I'll get to work on that then.
