    Understandable, perhaps. Justifiable, definitely not. Admirable, most undeniably not. Avoidable, absolutely! His actions were the result of his choices. Moash could have been merciful, but he chose not to be. Elhokar was involved in his parents' eventual death, true. Roshone, however, was much more directly involved. He could have picked a myriad alternate courses to resolve his vendetta, plenty that result in less murder.

I wish I had a codex of Brandon quotes and excerpts I take with me everywhere. Preferably invisible &/or weightless until I want to look something up.

(Would you rather be in charge of the industrialization of Roshar, or be made to replicate Elantris exactly, to scale, Investiture and all, with Legos?)
