  1. Latkes fell as well and soon everything was coated in a healthy layer of oily potato goodness. @Ookla the ingenious And here I was wondering how to say it to you
  2. That too. Among other things.
  3. That's the best way to wear socks - never wear them with their proper pair.
  4. But all of that was irrelevant because...
  5. 990th post on this. Temporary victory.
  6. The truth in that statement is true.
  7. He'll learn on his own.
  8. *is grateful she keeps kosher*
  9. Trust it when it's me offering it or any other identified TUBA member.
  10. Don't jinx it....anythiing could happen....the fact that Disney is producing it is a pretty scary thought... I didn't have sound on and last read the books three years ago, so maybe that effected it, but if I hadn't known it was for Artemis Fowl, I wouldn't have recognized that the trailer was for it in any way besides the basic shape/concept of the runes. It was just so different from anything I ever imagined.
  11. Everything's special. Like this certified Hemalurgy-free cookie I'm offering you as a welcome gift. Like advertized, it's not spiked unlike some others you may be offered. Keep an eye out for lurkers who have no certification that their cookies won't have negative side effects. Enough talk. Welcome to Shard.
  12. Ookla the Ooklaest Ookla
  13. "But he never consented!" Silva protested.
  14. Silva was willing to fix Ganvcho on the condition he'd be a Narrator again.
  15. Here's another cookie and welcome! Ookla season is definitely a confusing time to jump in...
  16. Silva was also confused and decided to erase everything that had happened in the last twenty or so pages from existence.
  17. Renarin's future-sight. While he may be cute, Adolin's looks wouldn't quite work on a female. Would you rather have dinner with Moash or Miles Hundredlives?
  18. Silva had left. But now she'd returned. In disguise that is. It wouldn't do to be recognized easily - better to make people's lives complicated. Nah. she thought. I'm feeling nice today. So she summoned @Ookla the spearman to see who she really was. No better place or time since these were the headquarters of the Knights Awkward and he was in for an awkward realization. Because really, wasn't it obvious? she thought, trying futilely to direct that towards him.
  19. I never joined officially before because I never before officially joined.
  20. Speculation no longer. *whips out document* Here's an itemized list of thirty years of disagreements. Wait. Wrong one. *starts pulling out different document* Here's an itemized list of instances in which the DA spiked their cookies and caused to innocents soul damage. It's quite long. *continues pulling it out*
  21. Fine. Good point. I won't try to dissuade @Clyde Coggins from taking it, I'll just tell him to ask you if it comes with any negative side effects. This way he can learn the truth himself and I won't have to be evil. Heard that Clyde? Good. I want to see you ask that question first before accepting. Anyways, welcome to Shard and be wary of spoilers floating about.
  22. Somewhere remote that has no native inhabitants living there.... "And no one lives here?" Mejin asked Twig for the fortieth time. "We wouldn't be taking anyone's land?" "Not a one," Twig said. "No one lives here - we've checker many times. No one will be around to care. It belongs to no one" Mejin nodded. "Sounds good then." She pulled out a flag with a TUBA symbol on it and planted it in the ground. "Well now it's TUBA territory." She smiled slightly. "First colonists from Alleycity." Pointing to a small cottage in the distance, Twig looked at Mejin. "That's where we were when we stayed here. It's got supplies, but the land around here is fertile enough that you likely won't need them." She hugged Twig. "I'm going to miss you." "Course you won't. You never seem to remember I exist till you see me," Twig said. "Not true!" Mejin said. "I do! And I'm going to miss you very much." "We'll see," Twig said, but he was chuckling. "All your people are on land?" "Far as I know," she said, watching all the NPCs that had come with her and were unloading supplies. "Though a few may have chickened out and decided to return to the city." "Too bad for them as that's not where we're headed. I was thinking somewhere cold," Twig said loudly. A few splashes could be heard coming from the direction of the ocean. "No more stowaways now," Twig commented. "Unless you were bringing some snow lovers along." "I don't think I was. Are you actually going cold though?" Mejin looked at his bare arms. "You kidding? We're going south after this. Need to warm up a bit," Twig said chuckling. "Cold just works great as a threat. Gets people to do what you want." "I'll never get your Viking tactics," Mejin said. "I don't expect you to, you land lover," he said. "I don't love land, I just like it more than sea," she said. "You don't love much anything," he said finally. "That's not true," Mejin said, three people coming to mind. "I'll believe it when I see it," Twig said. "Yeah right," she said. "It's not like you've got much of a love life. Who are you to talk?" "You got me there," he said. "Except I at least admit what I love. Unlike you." "And what do you love?" "The ocean. The sea. The sky. My ship." "Oh." Twig hugged her. "And you. You're the sister I never had." She returned the embrace. "I've got three siblings. Tino, Pry, and you. Only one might be related to me by blood, but all matter the same." "I'll be back in two weeks. You can survive that long, right?" Twig asked. "You underestimate my abilities," Mejin said, burning bendalloy to quickly tap him on the nose. "My little Twinborn Lightweaver. I forget," Twig said smiling. "You don't act it most days." "Do I now? Maybe I should work on that..." she said. "Don't. You don't act the part you won't be treated it. To be powerful is to be a threat. And you, Jin, are anything but a threat," he said. "I don't know whether to be insulted or complimented by that." "How about both." With that they parted ways. Twig to his ship and Mejin farther inland.
  23. Isn't that a lot of us... Welcome and don't accept that cookie! It's spiked. Here's a certified Hemalurgy-free cookie courtesy of TUBA.
