Mejin rolled her eyes, but decided it wouldn’t kill her to talk. ”You are new around here, right?” She asked Ralerin. It couldn’t hurt to be certain.

Oh, Harmony. She didn’t know how the trainer had seen her, but at least she needed to make one thing clear. ”I’m not his ‘lady-friend,’” Mejin said standing up. “I’ve never seen that man Ralerin, as you call him, before. And the term ‘chat up’ sounds like I’m five.” She was still holding her broom from the bar.

Mejin watched the man approach. It was yet another person she failed to recognize. She wondered if maybe for once the person was just new and she had the right to be clueless. Either way, she kept her eyes alternating between the three.

Mejin had followed Ethil, not sure of what else to do. Home was out and she needed something to entertain herself. It seemed to be a combat training field. Not really something she wanted; Mejin did her very best to avoid conflicts. But it couldn’t hurt to watch, so she settled to crouching behind a rather randomly placed large rock.

If someone was a full Feruchemist and Allomancer and put up either a bendalloy or cadmium bubble and tried to fill a metalmind with speed, what would happen? Would it fill to your own personal time speed, the world around you, or not at all? Hope no one’s asked this yet.

Mejin hesitantly touched Meeker. She was still alive, so she considered herself lucky. Then she found herself outside as the bar exploded again. Kane was gone.

Why did I ever think this was a good idea? Mejin thought sitting on a bar stool as Kane got beat up. It’s like they’re looking for trouble. The violence only increased and Mejin shook her head desparagingly.

“One day, I gotta drag these people to meet my brother,” Mejin muttered. “Might help them create better life goals and morals.”

“Shoot him, blow him up, what difference does it make?” She replied, “It’s still an attempt on his life.” She leaned on her broom for support, half tempted to hit him with it. “Mace was the one on the roof earlier, right? I saw him run that way.” Mejin pointed down an alleyway.

Mejin looked at the man who had decked Kane. ”Why,” she said to him, “you’re even ruder than Kane here! Couldn’t you tell we were trying to have a conversation?”
