Dan rolled his eyes and grinned at Shae. "Okay, that's fine."

Dan licked Shae's face again, ignoring the woman. "Pet me and love me."

"Everyone where I grew up either thought like a dog, a hawk, or a human, and I caught the dog sense," Dan said between licks. He checked over that arm, decided that it was good, then moved on to the other one.

"It comes from your lungs into your mouth, ergo, licking mouth will stifle problem," Dan said, holding his arm up to his face and licking the blood on it off.

"Coughing comes from your mouth and I wanted to fix it," Dan said.

Dan leaned over and licked the inside of Shae's mouth when it was open. He didn't know how to fix coughing, so that might work.

"You're cute, hun," Dan said, licking the side of Shae's face.

"I'm an annoying large beast, so does that make me cheap?" Dan asked, genuinely curious.

Wow, because obsidian is such an effective weapon, too.

"Okay, then dessert as well," Dan said.

"Fine, but if they try to kill us, you owe me dinner," Dan said, turning back to the Marines. @Grey Knight

Dan glared at the Marines suspiciously for a minute before turning to Shae and quietly saying, "I think we should just go to the place I talked about. I can get a Denizen to take us to the Complex." @ShadowLord_Lith

“Also,” Terrel added to the Acolyte’s argument, “if the Ghostbloods hired a man such as the Waiter, what can be said about the leadership of their guild? Do the leaders even have any control over their members anymore?”

“They did have the tattoos! I literally just said that! Also, if the Ghostbloods can’t control their own members, then they don’t deserve to have to power to field an army!”

“Just get us back to the Whiterose Complex, if you really want to help,” Dan said. “And maybe pay for the medical bill. If you wanted, you could also patrol the Complex to keep future attackers out.” Dan moved in front of Shae, trying to keep him safe. @Grey Knight

Dan sat up straight and flared his wings out, baring his teeth angrily as his hackles went up. “What do you want? Get out!” @Grey Knight

“Mmph,” Dan said. “I’m the oldest sibling. That means I have to take care of other people always.” He know that Shae wouldn’t get that, so he just licked Shae’s face again, then said, “We should probably get going. I know where we can get back to the Complex.”

“But I’m the oldest and I need to keep everyone else safe because that’s how it works!” Dan muttered. “If I can’t keep everyone else safe then I’m not the oldest but I am the oldest so I need to keep everyone else safe but I couldn’t protect you so what am I doing with my life anyway?” He huffed and licked Shae’s face again, wanting to cry but knowing that doing so would be bad because then everyone would know that he was weak and would stop relying on him.

“Well, the Church got attacked and you and me were on the roof when a helicopter crashed into it.” He winced, looking away from Shae’s eyes. “You got in the way of me protecting you, and you got hurt, and I’m a horrible boyfriend.”

“Okay, I got him to stop,” Dan yelled, and the nurse rushed upstairs. “I didn’t beat you up, actually,” he said to Shae as the nurse touched Shae’s back and Progressed it until the burns were gone. “It was worse than that.”

“I give you permission to sleep once you stop burning tin,” Dan said seriously, nuzzling Shae’s face.

“That’s better,” Dan said, then continued, “Get your arse up. C’mon.” He continued to lick Shae’s face excitedly, like a puppy.

“That means you’re better now, right?” Dan said, just laying next to Shae quietly for a few minutes. “Okay, now I’m bored and I don’t have anybody to talk to. Waaaake up.” He licked Shae’s whole face and neck a few times, then focused on Shae’s eyes and mouth.
