  1. Not nearly consistent with WoK. Sylphrena explicitly states that the shard makes him a worse man somehow, although she cannot explain how or why. She likes Dalinar for his honour, and giving it away made him a better man, as he does not possess a shardblade anymore. This is contrary to your suggestion. Maybe the shardblades are not the radiantblades of the visions, and have either been swapped or corrupted. They are no longer operable honourably, if they ever were. If they were, I believe they never will be so again.
  2. Buy. No idea why I do. During Endless Pages, Sylphrena will spend more time larger in a more permanent manner. Either she will spend more time in the ostensibly larger form, or her standard size will grow (or something similar). Having one scene or two with her taller than a chasmfiend does not count. (sub-offer) Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor will compare her height to the Cryptics'. (ant-offer) Same, but with her shrinking instead. Thank you, Feather! (I think that the more we make offers about Radience before it gets published, the better)
  3. Back in the beginning of the thread some people mentioned tLR and copper compounding. I want to note that I heard a great theory which I do not know whether if someone (Eric?) ever did ask Brandon about, nor if it was otherwise confirmed or denie. According to it, tLR, being Kwaan's nephew, could have inherited the trait or otherwise been trained by Kwaan to have it.
  4. (OoG) Who? When would that happen? Why is the name an empty google?
  5. Sell. It might happen, but I think he will not do so without someone explaining the Nahel bond to him in a context closely tied with his spren. (for this to count as manning up, he must either figure out it is a spren (or whatever he must figure out) on his own, or not figure it at all. if someone took his paranoia away with explanations, I cannot consider it as manning up) Axies' discoveries will be important to the WoR plot*. *not counting world-expanding characters
  6. No way will I be able to make it, but I might be able to instruct you about the set-up. I happen to be able to pick up tech-stuff pretty quickly, as well as explain on a pretty capable level (over 9000). Just call me if you need me.
  7. I did not know that... Interesting.
  8. Okay, what? Why do you think her light eyes cannot be natural?
  9. Then we have a new mystery - how could she have lost the blade? Or, maybe she does not allow herself to use it?
  10. Wait! Whatshername, Baxil's mistress, says she 'might just have to get a shardblade'. That implies she has none and that either Honorblades are different, or she does not have hers. Right?
  11. Do I want to ask?
  12. My hopes were more for an increase in players than for an increase in admins. But nevermind, I said it with a grin, and have no intention of dragging you back to administrate, especially not when you are swamped. More importantly, good luck with your masters!!!
  13. It works! Thank you! First time in a long time you visit us, eh?
  14. I agree that it is extremely not bloody storming likely, but it was not directly contradicted. I assume he is just what he says.
  15. I initially thought him to be Adonalsium, but now consider it an insult. Sanderson is not a worth title for him either, so I believe him to be Hoid. As for the family, his parents are mentioned, but he could be either lying, insane, or have some memory issues.
  16. As for MBI, I used to use the mobile site, then the link was removed (when entering the desktop site via mobile, the low lefthand corner used to have a link). My phone reverted to the desktop regularly and I always went to the mobile. My iPod, however, did not ever revert, and still opens the mobile site by default when accessing MBI, so I know it works, although the link to it is absent. I guess we just need to re-link to the mobile client.
  17. If you like WoK's narration, listen to the WoT. Those are the same narrators. Mistborn too, of course, but not because it's Sanderson, because Michael Kramer (who does Stormlight) is the narrator there, as well. Elantris has a nice narrator, too. I would tell you not to listen to Graphic Audio, but only because I do not like them - I never tried them in a car. What disturbs me: I have two 30-min A.C. Clarke stories I love. And sorry, I betrayed Brandon without knowing - Old Man's War is great.
  18. I think we should reclassify the Ketek scale. What I propose: K0 - Perfect symmetry and structure. (It is just pyrotechnics, though - barely a soul) K1 - Verb, plural, etc. variation. Strictest ketek to allow subtleties. K2 - Verb to noun, etc. variation. K3 - Linking words are ignored symmetry-wise. No longer canon. K4 - Largely, but not completely, symmetric. K5 - Not one sentence made from five distinct thoughts, or very unsymmetric. NK - Not a ketek. Additional (optional) inner division - a + is added when the thought division and perhaps punctuation are symmetric as well.
  19. I really would love this app to happen sometime, and when it does, I would definitely like it to work with the MBI and coppermind subsites as well. (which makes me wonder what happened to the MBI's mobile site)
  20. For those wondering about the length - the book was originally meant to be named "The Book of Endless Pages", but the name was rejected because Sanderson's editor felt it would be too ironic. Roumor says, Sanderson felt it did not rightfully earn the name. He did his best to make it fit it's intended name, but no matter how hard he tried to, he failed miserably.
  21. You are not taking into consideration some of the facts I have (for example, water freezes in the middle atmosphere of Venus, not escaping.) I am talking of a future we can already see (magic anti-cancer is not really relevant, and it is not only cancer. It is being sterile and having plants weaker than scadrial's), requiring very little advancement (as far a I know)
  22. I want Sadeas and Dalinar wrestling in shardplate. Clean non-weapon fight. Bonus point if we hear (even in passing) that a charecter who saw that found it... ero- (sees murderous look in fans' eyes) -pean! and... arou- (angry mob soulcasts itself a short distance away) -nd the corner! Yes! Axies against Breeze - british humor. It only depends whether you like narrator jokes or character jokes better. Either way, Wayne wins. Rosharan moons versus Wayne - screwing with logic. I bet on a draw.
  23. Sell. A. They never will. B. They will be really bad at it, not really majoring in Sandersology. C. 17h might be a good place to actually do it. I would definitely help writing. (not the true offer because it is obviously too likely for anyone* to deny) *anyone who tried to stack all the cosmere works to form a tower of books, that is (it ends up as tall as a skyscraper, even when they are all ebooks on one kindle) Brandon will continue writing the series long after he wrote all the books he promised. He will end up living longer than TLR, making his books longer, publishing them as fast as one per week, until all of his fandom is long dead, and then he will be slain by one of his editors, using a method that he will have written in one of his books (or using one of the books), as revenge for the work. Then Brandon's widow will make another author finish the series, and there will be an endless cycle/dynasty of authors doing the BS then the RJ. (not the true offer, same reasons) Endless Pages will put someone in the hospital. (true offer) In Endless Pages, Shallan will consider using lightweaving to change her hair colour. (or, as Aether will say, freckles) clarification: any change of appearance solely because she does not like how she looks. What, using proper names? What creativity? I would buy that
  24. Buy. I kind of assumed that is the only reason the dark-to-lighteyes transformation, to give darkeyes motivation to do that. Seems like it must happen sometime. (anyone know Szeth's eye colour?) (Ninja'd, so:) Buy. But I would change 'most' to 'all'. Also, I hope this happens. (1)Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor will see other mafah'liki in WoR, and (2)eventually become a Knights Radiant detector through his alaii'iku. (3)He will also see a change in Kaladin. (mafah'liki - spren. I used it to refer to invisible/Nahel spren as a group) (alaii'iku - sight of invisible spren) (Numuhukumakiaki'aialunamor - a poem. Abbreviated to 'Rock')
  25. I'm not entirely sure what Mars can teach us, really. It will be of a lesser monetary contribution than anywhere earth, unless it has some rare metals, so I hope it will give us lessons to learn. I would like you to tell me, if you would, what you see it can teach. As for Venus, dealing with new climates (acid rain, slightly acidic atmosphere (maybe; if so, from the rain), extreme winds, and eventually, terraforming (including genetic engineering)) is a subject it could teach well.
