  1. I am starting this thread as a way to collect all the knowledge this forum has on Cosmere foods. Any ideas for recipes, replacement items, and cooking methods are welcome. That being said, I do not want this turning into a hemalurgy research thread. First on the list is Rosharian and Selish foods. Since Scadrial is very similar to Earth, I imagine that their foods are similar, however, if you have some ideas for Terris foods, please post them. Also, drinks are also welcome.

Things wanted as soon as possible:

    Maipon noodles

    Chouta

    Waystop foods

    Scadrian noble foods

Any other food/drink are also welcome.

  2. Would it be possible to use a shardblade as a hemalurgic spike? The coppermind says that the shardblades are a godmetal and another godmetal works as a spike (atium), so logically, it should be able to work as a spike. What would that do to the spren and the blade wielder?

  3. I have to pick being a mistborn, it may not be as powerful as Dor related magic or feruchemy, but I want to be able to "fly" with out having to deal with drawing Aons, the Nahel bond or awakening my kitchen towels. Plus, I know I can find the things needed for my art anywhere. Also, I don't have to wear metal minds, or turn silver to use my powers. It is a very stealthy magic if you know how to use it right. As far as surgebinding, the Nahel bond is too much work and too limiting and Fabrials take to long to make. But I can see how a person would want the showier powers. Carrying all the metalminds makes you look powerful and being an Elantrian is very distinctive.

  4. If a misting or a mistborn traveled to Sel, and then to the city of Elantris, and then had an Elantrin carve an Aon on a piece of metal that the Allomancy then burned, how would that effect the powers of the Allomancer? Any thought? Would an Aon Rao increase the power of a steel push or a bendalloy bubble?

  5. Assuming the copper/aluminum method works as intended, then could you take a mist wraith and spike them with the hemalurgic metalminds to create a copy of the person who made the minds? That might give you an way to create a body with out any complex mechanics. Think of the various applications of such a system.

  6. Background information:

Aluminum stores Identity, that is the aspects of your that make you you and what is basically a key to your personal investure in feruchemy.

Copper stores memories and can be used to steal intelligence using hemalurgy. it is also a cognitive metal in feruchemy.

I am working off of the idea that copper stores a cognitive aspect of a persons self, hence the reason they do not remember the data in their copperminds. Sort of like a cognitive aluminum.

I theorize that if a person were to store all their memories and identity in a set of copper and aluminum minds and then awakened or spiked a complex computer/ investure powered computer, then it would form a Investure powered AI that either matched or was very similar to the person who filled the metal minds. Any other theories on how to create a AI, other than Awakening an object like Nightblood. I want something that is not going to drain the life from my body when I turn it on. maybe some sort of metalmind/fabrial combination?

  7. Yeah, I can see your point. Originally I just had thought of Inara and Jayne. Mal was next, naturally.

My reasoning for Inara was that she could riot certain emotions. Also, one of the reasons she not as close to the rest of the crew as you might think is that she is constantly storing connection. Mal being F-Gold would be the only explanation for his constant survival, outside of Simon's skill as a surgeon.

I had not thought of River as a Atium misting, but it would totally make sense, maybe some sort of hemallurgic atium misting?

    Welcome to the shard!

Personally, I love the Aon Rao, I love how it is a magnifier for power, similar to Duralumin. I think that it depends on how you define metallic arts, but I think if you were able to power allomancy using the Dor instead of Preservation's power, then having a permanent area (like elantris) where everything was more power full would be pretty cool.

    Whats your opinion on hemalurgy?

Hemalurgy has some interesting applications for combining different systems of magic but for now it remains evil acupuncture.

  9. So I am almost finished with the Arcanum Unbound. Also I am rewatching Firefly. That got me thinking, what would the Serenity's crews Metallic Arts be?

Here is what I have so far:

    Mal: A-? F-Gold

    Zoe: ?

    Wash: A-Brass F-Bronze

    Jayne: A-Pewter F-Pewter

    Kaylee: A-Iron F-?

    Inara: A-Zinc F-Duralumin

    Book: A-Gold F-Copper

    Simon: A-Brass F-Zinc

    River: A-? F-Steel

What are your thoughts? Do you have any other suggestions and or different combinations?
