Deteca being able to Voidmake is a good way to see the core of her character development. Voidmaking is using the Void to just destroy stuff. It's not technically evil, but since hardly anyone can do it and those who can are DA, Deteca thinks of it as evil, like Hemalurgy (though that's not precisely evil either, and she somewhat knows that, but it's hard to get rid of prejudices). To me, the significance of her being able to use it is in the contrast. It's just another magic system, but it's one that my character sees as being wrong, and she sees herself as a good person, since her guild was basically founded to do good and be opposed to the Dark Alley. What she needs to do is find the contrast, recognize that gray areas exist. OOC her development is a way of saying "Yes, we all have our own guilds, but loyalties aside, none of us are perfectly good or bad." Morality is a spectrum, and it's a very subjective one. This is also why I’m going to have her be a DA Denizen in Era 5; the symmetry of having her grow up in that guild rather than TUBA appeals to me. Neither are perfectly good or bad, but she has to figure that out.

Granted, but you have to tell Ene if you like the music or not (if you listened to it). Granted! However, the opposite of the opposite of Opposite Day happens. I wish I craved cookies instead of eggplants. Not spiked cookies; TUBA cookies. -

Tenth grade drawing teacher gave us the assignment of drawing something as a playing card. Me, having almost no art ability (why did I take this class, you ask? My school requires art credits *grumbles*) decided to draw something that’s essentially scribbles. So you get Pattern the Cryptic as the Ace of Diamonds. -

In a ceramics class in ninth grade, my teacher told us to make stamps. The first thought in my head was SOULSTAMP. Therefore, a (wildly inaccurate) soulstamp was what I made. This is the...what do you call it? Head? Actual stamping part? This is the part you put ink on. (The number sixteen is in there, yes. I couldn’t help myself.) -

You all know what this is. (Unless you live somewhere where this game doesn’t exist, in which case here are the rules anyway.) Someone (my autocorrect keeps trying to say sOmEoNe and I don’t know why but I feel mocked ) says truth or dare. Whoever posts next picks one. Multiple can be going on at the same time. If you pick truth, you will be asked a question that you must answer truthfully. THIS QUESTION CANNOT BE PERSONAL IN NATURE. No asking for IRL names, where someone lives, etc. If you pick dare, you will be dared to do something. This may be on the forums or in real life. In most cases, screenshots or photos, or at the very least reports of how it went, should be provided as proof that you did it. NO ONE MAY BE DARED TO DO SOMETHING THAT GOES AGAINST THEIR PERSONAL VALUES, THE SITE’S RULES, OR COMMON DECENCY. No daring someone to insult somebody else without context or give compromising pictures of themselves to you, etc. I don’t think we really have to worry about people being bad, but just in case - if you wouldn’t want someone to dare you to do it or ask you that question, don’t do it to others. Golden rule. With that out of the way, let’s have some fun! Truth or dare?

Any downside can’t possibly be bad enough to counter the upside of there not being cars down there, Myriad thought. Well, hoped. She supposed ACE might have something to move people around in, but it was unlikely to be as bad down in the confines of stone. She’d be careful around whatever it was anyway, if it existed. “Taking notes,” she said instead.
