  1. Their perfect triplet candidate is secretly a talking cat.
  2. I’m intrigued! Cool cool, I’ll tag you. Who else wants to be tagged? Or I can just throw a link in here when it’s up.
  3. Taravangian - and yeah, people not remembering how to spell it is why the shortened version exists. Nope to all of them. This place is not outdoors.
  4. @Ookla the Stand User @Ookla the Imperial @Knight of Iron
  5. “Probably, depending on what you want to know.” Kios shrugged and tossed the piece of ice to the floor. Breaking off a new icicle, he twisted it in his hands, then grinned and looked at Corenar. “Okay, to start with, there are hundreds of bindpoints all over the human body.” He waved at the own form. “You’re not gonna know them all unless you use a coppermind or something - and there are unsealed copperminds existing, but getting ahold of them would be an annoyingly process for outsiders. But two main ones -“ the spike of ice now pointed directly between Corenar’s eyes, then wobbled from one to the other and back “- are the eyes. People don’t forget eye spikes.” He lowered his arm again. “All good so far?”
  6. But not these certain things
  7. You should listen to Kenod. Kenod’s smart. Also you cannot tell me that certain things are just friendship, they’re TOO PERFECTLY DONE
  8. Cassie had read books where a character woke up and had a moment of blissful ignorance before the immediate past hit them again. She got none of that bliss. Her nightmares had almost been lucid, with her first wandering around an endless expanse of solid green; then she’d spotted Ben, like in the Sha-thoexis dream, but this time he was kneeling over a dead Voidbringer - and then dead Voidbringers were everywhere, and Rob was doing his thing to get rid of them. The Radiants had all stayed standing as if the ground wasn’t liquid, but Cassie had fallen through, hearing James and Shana whisper that she wasn’t a real Radiant anymore as she fell, and then she had landed on green obsidian and was staring up at the face of - And she’d woken up with Joy’s scratched-out eyes superimposed on her vision. Cass lay there, blinking quickly to erase the image like you would if you’d stared at a lightbulb for too long. Her breaths came one after the other and she felt hot; she shoved off her blankets and sat up. Too fast. Dots were sprinkled blackly into her vision, and she fell back on the mattress, where she flopped over and pressed her face into the pillow. She was not ready to live through today. To get up and be an example and go to work - ugh, work. She enjoyed helping out in the library, but after yesterday...and the night before that...there was a noise buried in the back of her throat and she didn’t know if it was a sob or a scream. Either way, she shouldn’t let anyone else hear it - she had to be the woman who could drive people to school, dry-eyed. Mornings are only hard at the start. Come on, get up. Mom had said that to her. Why had it been such a long time since Cassie had thought about her mothers in depth? She shoved herself out of bed and started getting ready. In ten minutes, she was downstairs, yawning and picking up an apple as she surveyed the kids who’d already made it.
  9. You ship it too? I am not aloneeeee
  10. I - I well - not in any way - It just works so well okay
  11. “Fair enough,” Kios said cheerfully. “Happy to help.” He stopped walking and turned to face Corenar. “What did you want to learn first? Bindpoints?”
  12. Oh, deevy. Aight. 1: This place is known to have truthworthy people in it. (As in, it’s not just statistically likely, we know this for a fact.)
  13. “Don’t forget being vulnerable to anyone with the power if you have even two,” Kios cautioned. “Rioters and Soothers aren’t rare. And everyone likes to think their mind would be strong, but when it comes down to it...” He trailed off and fixed Corenar with a stare. “You can’t ever count on that.”
  14. “Oh, wow,” Flit said, eyes wide. He’s been in ROAR for twelve years? And I never knew. She closed her eyes for a moment, composing herself.
  15. “It’s much easier to simply get rid of the need to, rather than hunting down the powers,” Kios said idly. “And spikes are helpful, but don’t be too eager to fill yourself with them...how much do you know about Hemalurgy’s negative effects?” Of course it was usually more than worth it, but you should still know what you were getting into.
  16. This character was notably surprised by something a main character did.
  17. By has, you mean currently in wherever the series/book is? If not, Elantris. If so, Thaylen City.
  18. Buy it! Go get money! Steal it off the shelf!
  19. “For some time now,” she admitted. “And you?”
  20. “Not quite.” He smiled. “While it is possible for some people to be utterly content in the world, even if for no other reason than that they have spiked it into themselves, I do not define that as winning. You do not have to achieve all you want at once to win - and for many people, gaining has nothing to do with it. For some, winning means losing something.” Kios rubbed a fingernail up and down the icicle as he walked. “What would you want to lose, if you could?”
  21. The Alleyverse subforum was definitely not a thing when this was created. It came about in 2018. Who knows, then.
