  1. Hey there Oto great to have you aboard. He's in your top five and you've only read 1.5 of his own stories? You should really REALLY enjoy the rest of his books then and I really hope you do. Watch out for the admins around here, the have a tendency to make Marshes from new members, so be wary of admins bearing gifts XD *takes to reading some webcomics*
  2. You do realise that ~1/3 of the posts are in the off topic sections? lol
  3. Indeed, it took me a good while to get through the first Malazan, but the rest. Oh the rest are AWESOME
  4. Just finished Speaker for the Dead, after Enders Game. Both awesome stories. Looking forward to Xenocide, which I'll start tonight XD
  5. Hey there Jake its great to have you aboard. Watch out for the admins, they like using spikes on newer members
  6. well Ruins works , Honors, Cultivations, Devotions, Dominions, Preservations does work (for me)
  7. Hello there Ser, and welcome aboard. You should totally join in even more so
  8. I dont think using feruchemy would be too bad, since it's tied to your personal spiritweb. It's probably advisable not to store health, in case of a compromised immune system, but Scadrial seems to have very little (mentioned) illness. The anchor-weight issue is possibly more post-natal depending on how much the pregnant woman burns during pregnancy. Dragging is something to avoid.
  9. I announce that Java is lame full-stop. Same thing goes for Flash.
  10. Scadrial has 10's too, the symbol for AtiumMalatium is the numeral 10. Ten High Noble Houses, ten (of 16) atium beads. There were ten members of Kelsiers crew (a bit of a stretch lol) and some other tens that I've misforgotten
  11. I apologise, only administrators are allowed hammers on this board
  12. Especially for the inquisitive
  13. Hey there Andy, great to have you aboard Well each and every one of Brandon's works is (imo) as good as all the others, if not better. So I recommend any and all of them. If you're wanting recommendations, check out the 'Other Books' section.
  14. Hey there Barradorn, great to have you aboard You'll want to watch out for any administrators, as they like spiking the new members.
  15. In the middle of Blue Remembered Earth by Alastair Reynolds, it's pretty cool so far.
  16. I think you mean billionaire philanthropist
  17. Is the Orullian interview being transcribed? [1]
  18. Everything in-universe should be in past tense, as, to us, it's already happened. The articles on Books, Series and People (irl) can be present tense.
  19. I need to pick up the new one, only realised it was out yesterday Inheritance was AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Such a great little universe, oh man I loved it.
  20. At the moment there's not really enough activity to require any sort of mutexing of articles, and I dont really want to encourage ownership/maintainership of articles, I'd rather everyone felt happy to edit everything. Other than the infoboxs there's not really any structure to any of the articles. I'd prefer there to be less structure than more. Another rule of thumb, other than the Notes section, there should probably be less than 2 sections on any stub, and all sections should be at least a paragraph in length. Sections like 'appearance' and 'family' are probably always going to be too small, and should probably be left in the space prior to the first heading.
  21. Hey Nya, thanks for editing that's exactly what we want Great contributions btw
  22. Hey there Nya, you chose wisely when you dismiss the waffle, for it is teaming in spikes. You should watch out for any other tempting offers the admins here dole out, they like harvesting hoards of Hemalurgic horns. Other than that, enjoy yourself and if you like, you should join the wiki and edit stuff .
  23. Spree's are the best, just finished Lamora, There's supposdly going to be seven of them plus seven novellas? GET WRITING LYNCH!
  24. That was basically a statement made by Tindwyl during the study-phase in MB3. That page is just a collection of odds and ends
  25. See my temporary page on the wiki for a nice table of symbols/numbers/metals/letters. I'm fairly sure J, Q and X can be broken up into phonetic representations (J eg dual or gaol, Q with a KEW or a CHU, X with a CHS or an EKS) but z is a bit buzzy for the rest of them. The small spike used for prologue/epilogue is the symbol for 0, as discussed in Darniil's topic on the subject of cartography. We have Aluminium and symbol 19 spare for any of those, FYI
