  1. Long time Yogscast fan here, for the most part. Other channels I've been watching at the moment include: TierZoo; It's a weird concept, What If Nature Was A Video Game? But surprisingly good. I'd love to get him on board for a cosmere themed episode, if that was possible. Eckhart's Ladder; For my occasional dose of Star Wars lore And a few different Booktubers, as well as some general comedy channels.
  2. Deadeyes don't have to be in the same place as the blade in the physical realm to manifest. So whoever has Ico's father, they can still use the blade. Just like how moving the beads around in Shadesmar doesn't change the position of the physical object, the cognitive reflections prefer to remain close but it isn't essential. As to how may deadeyes there are, probably a lot. But like they said in the podcast, most are probably either locked away or just wandering around somewhere under the bead oceans.
  3. I'm going to assume that it's something to do with the fact that everyone has some level of latent Allomantic/Feruchemical abilities from the parts of Ruin and Preservation inside of them, this was why the Mists in Era 1 were able to affect so many people who didn't snap normally, it woke and boosted their latent potential. They weren't as strong as normal mistings, but they had the ability to use the power. If we assume that Feruchemy works in a similar way, then the nicrosil metalmind is just boosting the almost negligible level of inherent power to a usable level. Just my own personal idea of how it would work.
  4. Considering there are WoBs which tell us that the original Ashyinites travelled via Shadesmar/Super Oathgate, it is unlikely that there are more of them hanging around space. I do like the idea of the infinite sea being interplanetary space, but I don't think we can link that to Ashyn just yet.
  5. I'm not sure about the idea of the Fused hoarding Shards to use, mainly because we just haven't actually seen any of them using a Shardblade. Shardplate is probably off the table in regards to the Fused anyway, since it blocks the use of surges and they shouldn't be worrying too much about protection, seeing as how they can't die. But somehow, at the battle of Thaylen City, a critically important moment in Odium's plan, not a single fused is mentioned or shown to have a shardblade. Neither are there any shown at Kholinar or the raid on Urithiru. So while Odium almost certainly has a collection, the Fused don't seem to be using them.
  6. I think that this just means that the act of sending him to kill is not something Szeth believes that the Lifebrother (or, as I think he could also be called, He Who Adds) would do. The Vorin belief in glorifying war and fighting is the antithesis of Shin beliefs, so by comparing him to the Vorin religion in regard to the prospect of commiting several massacres, he is putting that as far away as possible from the way he believes the Lifebrother would act.
  7. Personally, I'm with the theory that so far, what we see the Fused using is not Voidbinding, but surgebinding hacked to use voidlight. Nothing the Fused do shows any difference from radiant abilities, except in the type of fuel, and something described as an entirely different system should probably be, well, different. The closest we see is likely Renarin and his corrupted spren bond, so the extent of this system is still highly unknown.
  8. Like how a feruchemical metalmind can be broken into pieces which will each have their own charge, a hemalurgically charged spike which is itself pierced by another spike could effectively fuse into a single spike, which would spit the charge up when separated. Spikes can be melted down without losing their charge (see Spook's earring at the end of SH) so this might be possible? Probably not how it would work, but hey, crackpot theories are the best kind.
  9. Hoid is basically the Where's Wally (or Waldo, if that's how it is where you come from) of the Cosmere. Or you could compare him to Doctor Who, in that he sort of jumps around the cosmere. Big on motivation plot driving and random appearances while dressed as a hobo. Golden rule for Hoid Hunting is; If someone is dressed like a beggar, appears mad or tells stories, then they could be Hoid. If someone is two or more of these options, then they are definitely Hoid.
  10. I always thought it was some deity from Shinovar and that Mr T was just name-dropping to prove how familiar he is with Shin culture. Like with the proverb, as an attempt to get Szeth to feel more comfortable, or willing to do his business.
  11. Fifth Clue: This character is a tenner.
  12. Fourth Clue: This character's position does not directly concern fighting or tactics.
  13. Yeah, same over here. I've read pretty much every other Cosmere story multiple times and yet I still don't have Elantris. (Or white sand, but I'm not a graphic novel fan).
  14. Third Clue: This character is a part of the Kholin Army.
  15. I'm not sure about whether Preservation still has an ongoing plan, I feel like Sazed's ascension would have revealed enough of it to him to make it his own, if it does exist. I am totally onboard with the theory that Endowment has got some super secret plan for the Cosmere and Odium. Nightblood has a lot of investiture, more than it should, and it had to come from somewhere. Cultivation also looks like she has a few master plans in the background (cough cough Mr T cough cough).
  16. Second Clue: This character is male and has light eyes.
  17. Yes, finally! First clue: This character lives on Roshar.
  18. Vin's father, the lord Prelan (Can't remember the name).
  19. You might want to do that.
  20. Correct! Also, damnation it I wasn't expecting it to be guessed that quickly. I was tossing up between this and Nar Street, the street in Sebarial's warcamp where the Ghostbloods had their base, but I decided to go with the easier option.
  21. Definitely read. I've never actually listened to an audiobook before, but I find it a little harder to concentrate on things I'm listening to compared to reading. On the other hand, I'm starting uni next year and will probably be commuting the hour and a half drive there for the first year, at least. So I might be doing some audiobook stuff then.
  22. Sorry for the late answer. Third Clue: This place is inside of a city.
  23. Mental allomancy could have some interesting combat applications for a game. I'd be thinking something like the rage/pacify spells from Skyrim. As to the rest, wow. This is genuinely amazing. Keep up the good work mate, I can't wait to see what else you come up with.
