  1. "NATO, eh?" Charles said, "one of the few useful things to come out of the last World War, in my opinion." he shook his head ruefully, "unlike this whole situation with the Soviets." This man could be useful to me, Charles thought, and began burning brass, Soothing away the man's inherent concerns and worries.
  2. Indeed, Huzzah! I agree with Truthless' sentiment about it essentially being like a mega book. But I love the series, and hope you do as well!
  3. "Evening, officers." James said. "I can tell you everything I know." "Ben and Shana had gone outside during our prom." he began, "I got a bad feeling about it, and so I went outside to go find them. I heard a noise, coming from the field where you found us." He continued. "I realized that the nature of the situation was violent, so I prepared to go and help my friends. However, by the time I had arrived at the scene, the conflict had mostly died down, and moments later, you arrived." He concluded. "Rob was there for longer though, so he might know more." He added. @Sorana @I think I am here.
  4. "She seems nice." James smiled. "She was there, you know, she knows about us now." He laughed, "finally had the chance to give myself a properly dramatic introduction."
  5. My strategy was to cheese it with Sharp Shadow....
  6. Ok, so you have an incredibly interesting concept, combined with pretty good prose. While the seemingly modern setting isn't my cup of tea when it comes to fiction, I am looking forward to hearing more about this man. (Also, as someone who has always wanted to write a blind character, but never been sure how to do that sort of POV, your interpretation has given me some of my own ideas.)
  7. I beat them in two, but whenever I re-attempt the fight, either in Godmaster or in Steel Soul, they continually kick my butt. So I can beat them, just not consistently. Did you use the Chandelier trick?
  8. "Oh really?" James said with a slight smirk, "and who might that have been?" he asked in a humorous manner. Tonight had been hard on everyone, and James had always found laughter to be the best medicine.
  9. Thanks. It was either this one or Seteth's "I have something to ask of you" in honor of the #SetethSays meme
  10. James looked at Rob, and shook his head ruefully, "Some prom this turned out to be." @I think I am here.
  11. I'm glad to report that as well
  12. I must admit, I find myself incredibly intrigued.
  13. You're very welcome, the praise is well earned.
  14. Words cannot even describe how perfectly this captures Dalinar, everything from the facial expression, to that formal style portrait look is just so Dalinar.
  15. "To be honest" James said, with some authenticity, "I don't quite fully know." He shrugged his shoulders, "I just know that my friends were in trouble, and that I couldn't just stand aside and do nothing."
  16. 0/10, too ostentatious- Vivenna All joking aside, this is quite lovely. If I could, I would hang it on my wall
  17. Charles smiled unashamedly, as he grooved to the beat. As the chorus of the fantastic tune kicked in, he noticed a fellow near him rolling his eyes, but a smile on his face. He strolled over to the man, "Hello there sir," he proffered a hand, "Name's Charles Williams, Freelance investigative journalist." and Soother extraordinaire he added to himself.
  18. Mmm, all the Bewildering Grace spams to farm exp... takes me right back. Edit 8/6/19: I have officially finished my first route! This game has to be one of the most solid RPGs I've ever played, and I'm already planning out my next runthrough. Blue Lions or Golden Deer... so many choices.
  19. James took her hand, and joined her. "Do you think she'll be alright?" he asked.
  20. "Yes, I'm her friend." James said, "and I think I'll take you up on that."
  21. Speaking out of curiosity, what do people dislike about Fates? (I've heard that the story was not that great, but both versions of Fates have the same 4 and a half stars as Awakening does on Amazon, and are cheaper...)
