  1. YEAH!!!!!! Thanks all who invented the Alleyverse! ( who did that anyway?)
  2. As Veil soared through the sky he realized that there was a piece of important information that came in from his multi world updating knowldge system. The Alleyverse finally had its own sub forum. He whooped as he flew and performed a few loops to show his appreciation.
  3. Veil looked down from the edge of the valley. He had been here since midday, and the time was nearing for him to enter the valley and request his boon. He knew of the risks that came with approaching the Nightwatcher, but he was determined to change. Veil raised his head to the sky. It's time, he thought to himself before plunging into the thick jungle that was found inside the valley, pushing his way through vegetation. He soon found some rough trails and decided to follow those. As he followed the beaten trails Veil couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched. After what seemed like an eternity plunging through the thick vegetation, Veil burst into a clearing, and the strange feeling heightened to an almost unbearable point. " Hello, small one," a voice behind Veil rasped "What brings you here? What is it you ask of me?" Petrified with fear, Veil slowly turned to face the creature speaking to him. As he looked, he saw what appeared to be a black mist, in the shape of a person, crawling its way towards him. "What is it you want? Power? Wealth? Beauty? I can grant all of these. Just ask the boon, and it will be granted. “Knowledge,” Veil said in almost a whisper. “I’m tired of being left in the dark. I’m tired of ignorance. I want knowledge. Knowledge that allows me to change.” “Very well than.” The Nightwatcher responded. “Knowledge you shall have.” Veil suddenly knew all. He knew the way everything worked, everything that was happening at that moment and the next. He felt like he had the power to do anything. But it kept coming. A sudden, almost unbearable pain, burst to life in Veils head. He fell to the viny floor of the valley writhing in pain, wishing it would stop. Veil, before falling unconscious, was able to think only one thought. What have I done. Veil awoke, lying near the edge of the valley. Strange. He didn’t remember being moved there. As he sat up groggily, Veil remembered the events that had taken place the night before, and with it, came knowledge. What he knew was nothing compared to what he had felt in the valley, but it was still significant. I can change. Standing and dusting himself off, Veil looked around and examined himself. Strange. He didn’t feel any different in a negative way. The nightwatcher usually gave curses, he was yet to figure his out. Looking down at his watch, Veil jumped. He was going to be late for Rhaizens meeting if he didn’t leave now. Well, I’d better be off, Veil thought to himself. Veil looked in the distance and saw the village that he had lashed himself towards. Time to stop than. He had started traveling two days ago towards the location of the meeting, and this was his first stop. Veil alighted on the edge of the village where no one could see him, and started walking towards the nearest inn. He stopped, drawing some strange looks from nearby villagers. Strange. He didn’t remember having a headache until know. Not only that, but his arm was throbbing with a dull pain as well, almost as if it had been broken. He kept moving towards to towards the inn, trying to be discreet. Suddenly a sharp pain burst to life in the back of Veils head. Reeling in pain, Veil fell to his knees, drawing surprised cries from those near. Through the white spots dancing in his Vision, Veil could see some of the villagers run to him, trying to lift his sagging body from the ground. As he lay there in the dusty road Veil felt something. The source of the pain. There was an old man, in one of the cottages down the road. He had a brain tumor, and was dying. There was a young man, about twenty two, who had broken his arm a week earlier in a lumber accident. Along with this came countless others in the village who had minor scratches and injuries, almost too small to notice. And he could feel their pain. This was it. His curse. The last thing Veil remembered was him taking a sharp intake of breath, feeling like he wanted to die. Like he was dying. The next morning Veil awoke in one of the villagers bed. The pain in his head was gone, the old man having died in the night. Thanking the kind villagers, Veil stumbled out of the village in a stupor and lashed himself towards the meeting location, desperate to escape the pain.
  4. Veil looked down at his compass, noting the wildly spinning needle. Finally. He had arrived. Veil canceled his lashing, and plummeted straight towards the ground, bursting through the thick layer of clouds. As he burst out, a white plume trailing behind him, he noticed the house he was hurtling towards, and lashed himself downwards, increasing his speed drastically. As he burst through the roof of the house, he lashed himself upwards as many times as he could, jerking himself to a stop, and then immediately canceled all of his lashings, landing on the floor in a crouch, shardblade in hand. He looked and saw the man that had attacked him was facing Devaan, who was in a defensive position. The man briefly looked at Veil, adjusting his body to where he could defend attacks from both sides. Veil fell into a defensive position as well, following Devaans lead.
  5. Veil was satisfied. As he picked himself up off the floor, he pulled out a handheld device. "Perfect." Veil said to himself out loud. The device in his hand was a compass, modified with the directional aons to track someone. He'd had an Elantrian make it for him, and his time spent time finding willing to do it had paid off. He was just glad that was able to slip the card into the mans pocket. Dusting himself off, Veil jumped out the window and lashed in the direction the compass was pointing.
  6. Veil was making tea. He thought that if Solace did come back alive or something like that, he might want tea. Veil picked up the tea, and headed back to Solace's room. As he approached he heard the sound of blades clashing and grunts of pain. Storms, he thought. What is it this time? He than kicked the door open, summing his shardblade, still holding the tea in the other hand. Veil looked around and saw that a fight had been happening, and now there was a man standing in the middle of the room, looking around confused. Lashing the cup of tea to the ceiling, Veil dashed forward and held his blade to the mans throat. "Move and you die," Veil growled to the stranger. " Now explain what's going on, and who sent you."
  7. Veil, after asking some servants, determined that Solace was in his guest quarters. Time to make my grand appearance, he thought ro himself as he stood outside Solace's door. Veil shoved open the door with a cry, yelling "I am here now!" As he burst in he saw that there was something on the floor. A corpse to be exact. Solace's corpse. Even though his head was detached, Veil started yelling for a healer, and instructed the servants to cover the body. "Just wait till Rhaizen hears about this." Veil muttered under his breath as he planned Solace's funeral.
  8. Ignore this.
  9. Veil looked around Rhaizens room and noticed that he wasn't there. "Oh well, I'll have to tell him some other time" Veil remarked as he headed for the door. "Hmmm, Solace could probably help, I'll go find him."
  10. Veil ran into the entrance of Rhaizens mansion and ran into his room, finding him talking to Leya. Veil, out of breath and panting said to Rhaizen "Sorry I took so long, there were a lot of delays, had to kill some rulers on the way here. Anyway, I have a question for you that's of life or death importance."
  11. Veil stood back and observed his work, wiping sweat from his brow. It had taken him a couple of days to finish, but now everything was in place. Now, set before him, was the perfect party. Most of the ballroom was dominated by the dance floor, where people could either sit and watch the musicians, who had a large stage in front of the floor or actually dance. On the right was where the food would go, and on the left would be the dining area. Veil had decided to cater to all folks of the Alleyverse and had food from as many cultures as he could think of. The color scheme for all of this was blue and gold, a very majestic color, Veil thought. Veil than walked over to courtyard to check the dueling grounds. As he watched the workers setting up the ring, he thought about the struggles of life, and other various thoughts with lots of meaning. Veil suddenly snapped to attention, realizing something of dire importance. "Storms!" Veil yelled out loud and rushed as fast as he could to find Rhaizen, hoping he wasn't too late.
  12. I died inside when I got to the bottom. Also, nice to meet you @MountainKing ! Just remember, stay safe while on the shard. Don't eat spiked cookies, and don't give your breath away!
  13. So I saw this thread and just wondering, does anyone know a good anime for a 14-16 year old?
  14. I'm watching Grimm and trying to catch up on Voltron.
  15. If your okay with a book that has multiple protagonists, one being a girl, I'd recommend The Shifting Tides Series by James Maxwell.
  16. I'll take a cookie!
  17. "OK than, see yah soon than, I got a party to plan!" Veil yelled as he walked out of the council room, making a direct line towards the treasury
  18. Veil walked into the room, following Rhaizen. As Veil looked around, Rhaizen started naming off jobs for everyone to do. When Rhaizen finished Veil asked "Do I get money to buy stuff for the party?"
  19. "Coming!" Veil yelled as he walked towards Solace. "You said maybe Rhaizen wanted to see me, so lead the way."
  20. @Tesh, I'm just now seeing this post, and I want to thank you. Most people don't realize how many people struggle with mental issues, and this thread helps bring awareness to that (basically, good job, this thread is working) Also, Tesh, I struggle with some of the depression issues you're talking about. Feeling like you don't fit in, anxiety, all of that. I've found that having someone you can pour your emotions and problems out to help. And, just so you know, I think that you're a great person. Tesh, just know you are loved. You are accepted.(this goes for all the other people who struggle with depression and other mental disorders.)
  21. "He's Rhaizen's apprentice. Super dangerous. He's the one that blew up the village back there." Veil responded.
  22. "Sure, but we should probably wait until Rhaizen gets out of the meeting. Where'd Solace go anyway?" Asked Veil.
  23. OK, cool. Question though. Couldn't somebody become super powerful by via hemalurgy? Say if an elantrian or a knights radiant got spiked.
  24. When is GenCon anyway, and where? Haven't had time to look it up.
