  1. Lusk walked from a patch of darkness and sat down with Mac and Solace. “I like poetry,” he said bluntly. “Nobody expects the big bad assassin to like poetry, but I do, and I’m insecure about it.” And with that he left.
  2. ... I will take no more. Hellbent swung. His rage, they made one sloppy, not to mention he probably thought Max was still unconcious. I will take no more. Reaching up a hand and activating the strength Aons, Max grabbed ahold of the blade, clasping it tightly as he summoned Sethramir in his other hand, and, flaring all of the speed Aons in his body, attempted to swing it into Hellbent’s side. He had the advantage of surprise. He had been very close. He had been using a large amount of strength and a very large amount of speed. Hopefully Hellbent would be taken aback by the abrupt move.
  3. The blade hit Max’s armour and scratched it deeply. A scratch that wound stay, given the power of Hellbent’s sword. Defense Aons constricted and brought forth the power of the Dor as an Aon Sheo hit one of Max’s plates. Inside, Max was bruised, though nowhere near as dead as he should’ve been.
  4. The blades and Hellbent slammed into Max, throwing him a couple meters away. Max went limp, and his armour subconsciously went into Defense-mode. The forcefield didn’t come up, those Aons needed to be recharged, but new, durability Aons flashed, strengthening his armour. Max was still unconcious.
  5. "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Max Rioted. His tears mixed with his sweat as he roared in fury, eyes clamped shut. His pain, his sorrow, he gave it all away, to the city, to its inhabitants. They could have it. They could feel how he felt! They could be how Max was! Roaring again, Max was caught up in the moment, the rage flaring as he continued the immense Riot, pulling it out in every direction, as he far as he could go. Feel my PAIN! Chaos erupted around him but Max didn't notice. His desperation, his anger didn't even disappear as he flared emotions all over the city. Something touched him on the head, something cold, something different. The coldness flowed from his head to his brain, calming it, relaxing it. NO! Max thought. You cannot contain my rage! I will NOT be silenced! AHH! But the feeling was as pleasant as it was cold, and Max felt his anger wash away like a cold breeze as he collapsed inside of his forcefield, completely exhausted at what he's done. His head hurt like all hell, and his entire body ached violently. Groaning, he lifted his head up to see the city, and instantly Max grew pale. The dead were everywhere. Some had had their minds straight ripped out of their body, others had gone mad and killed their brethren. Max watched in horror as a pile of headless lay in one corner. Dead. Dead everywhere. He'd Rioted them, made them animals. He'd caused this. So much of Oasis was dead. He looked around, to familiar faces, friends. Almost all seemed heavily injured. He turned around and saw Althea. Her head was bleeding very badly and her sunglasses were broken. What had he done? What had he done!? He'd caused the deaths of so many. The guilt, that choking in his heart hurt more than any spike possibly could've. He gasped and turned back, the tears in his face only continuing. He was a monster, a true monster. And like a wave emanating from Max, the Rioting stopped, men and women finally realising what they'd done to each other as Max blacked out, the Forcefield abruptly dissapearing upon his unconsciousness.
  6. This one is smarter than we give credit for Also, double-posting is generally frowned upon here. This is your first time, so don't feel too bad, but it's preferred you edit your posts when adding new information instead of double posting.
  7. Welcome to the Shard! It should be worth mentioning if WoK and WoR are split into 2 parts each. So it won't be like: WoK Part 1, WoR Part 2. It will be more like: WoK Part 1, WoK Part 2, WoR Part 1, WoR Part 2, Oathbringer (I don't think Oathbringee is split into parts).
  8. Right there, right now. How did he do that? Alask looked on as Laonin grabbed the injured man's hand and talked him through the pain. Alask hadn't even thought of doing that. It seemed the man had a knack for supporting others. Almost as soon as he'd come into the Alleyverse, he'd started fixing buildings, and now, when there was nothing anybody could do (save for the doctor) he still supported the injured. Support like that will get a man killed. Alask should have known. The guild who'd kidnapped and Spiked him had lured him in by faking an injury. And when Alask had come to help, boom! Spikes. The Allyeyverse was a dangerous place for a selfless man. Alask knew that. He considered telling Laonin, but decided against it for the time being. He would tell Laonin later. He would make sure of it. As of now, Alask watched the man try and comfort the dying one, who was thrashing about. Alask yawned, and he felt a small increased weight on his eyelids. He would be like Laonin, he decided. He would be. Stretching, Alask brought over a chair and sat in it before he drifted off to sleep in the Hospital.
  9. Come on, you knew this would be done eventually. Everyone likes Stick. Everyone likes Doomslug. Who wins? Can the underslug finally beat our reigning meme champion? Or will 'I am stick' still remain one of the most common usernames on the Shard? Vote! And find out now!
  10. Could you please add me to the PM?
  11. And the square root of 16 is four. Yay you.
  12. Alask frowned. “He still looks like he’s in pain, doctor. As for what could have happened to him, I have no idea. Knowing Progression, shouldn’t he fine by now? It was growing dark. That was annoying. Alask hated the night. The night meant that anyone running would trigger Alask’s Shade. The night meant anyone who lit lamps or candles for Shade would gather Alask’s attention. The night meant any robberies, or muggings that happened would immediately warrant Alask to uncontrollably kill all those involved. The last point wouldn’t be as bad if the Shade didn’t immediately kill the victim too. He considered telling this to Laonin or Ishek. No. He didn’t want to be a monster. He didn’t want to be a freak. He was normal. He had a few setbacks, yes, but he was normal. How long can you hide it? Alask refused to answer.
  13. This may sound really stupid but what's the irony?
  14. Nope, he's just going full out in any direction. I originally had him restricting it to those who weren't his allies, but I'm considering editing it as it would be more in-character for him to just not care about anything else for the moment (sorry, allies). Have you seen the movie Chronicle? It's a great movie, but I'm comparing this to a scene in that where one person (at the end of the film) is going crazy and effectively doing the same thing Max is, except since he has telekinesis he's effectively tearing down buildings, not caring for allies or anything. It's a pretty powerful scene, you can feel his pain. To anyone reading, if you want to find the scene just type 'Andrew tears down buildings chronicle' you should probably be able to get to it.
  15. *Waves uncontrollably* Hello! Welcome to the Shard! What character do you think has the most punchable face?
  16. Heck, I’d change my voice, face and name but to get paid to yell. That stuff’s underrated. Just like chairs. Anyway, speaking of things I’d like more efficient, my brain. It’s like my brain’s Doug the Dog (from Up) and every time I try to do something productive it just goes “Squirrel!” out of nowhere and distracts me (except instead of squirrels it’s like the Wikipedia page for Dasani)
