“That’s a good point,” Csilen said, looking to the old lady again, and stepped back. “You ask her.” Subtly he took the pistol out. Sure, the old lady didn’t look dangerous, but he wasn’t taking any chances. “One more question, dear,” he said.

Gant “Hammerhand” Hargreaves squinted at the two figures on the boxes, his stomach grumbling anxiously. Fortunately, the child didn’t seem to have the same problem, and was quietly resting in its place in his open satchel, wrapped in a blanket. The sun was blazing ahead and he moved his hat downwards to shield himself from its rays. He took a swig from what little water he had left in his canteen, and he walked onwards through Greenhara. If anyplace was safe for a baby, it was the greenest of them all, right? As the woman who’d announced a saloon walked away, Gant moved slowly, and jogged to her, tapping her on the shoulder. “You talked about a saloon?” His voice was coarse from years of being around bad dust storms, and deep. He made sure to cover the baby by laying his hat over the satchel. It kept the baby cool, but it exposed Gant to the sun again. Rusts. “Do you think you could direct me there?”

Redatrick’s clone was useful, as the original Redatrick was now a corpse, littered with Cameron’s bullets and bolts. He watched as his team, his gang, his family was killed. Ex- family. They were trying to kill him too. And yet, one had been turned into a statue, and one had had a railroad spike shoved into him! He sat down, and turned around. Looking at the bodies of his once friends was not on his list of things to do. And yet, now he wasn’t being chased. A fresh start.

Jarret saw the waves of sand and knew he wouldn’t survive. So he closed his eyes and tapped the rest of his luck in one massive tap, throwing his shotgun in a random direction before he was torn apart. Cameron, as somebody without Investiture, was the only one who wasn’t enhanced in any way by the storm. As Jarret’s gun happened to land right in his hands he tried firing them both at the sliding man as he charged Cameron. Cameron was screaming. He was the only one left. But in his last moments before his death, he turned straight at Red and fired as many shots as he could, from both gun and crossbow.

“That didn’t answer any of my questions,” Csilen said to the woman. “I asked who you were - and where I am. Afterlife?” He tried tapping Connection but his metalminds were bone-dry with what he’d done before. “And what does that make you?”
-
Csilen’s hand reached for his pistol but nothing was there. “Who are you? Where am I?” He asked, his face dry from the tears he’d she’d onky moments earlier.

character development Devaan's Training ground
I think I am here. replied to Nohadon's topic in The Alleyverse
Three seconds. Max went into a roll and stuck Sethramir out to the side of him, careful not to cut the bomb. Two seconds. He scooped up the dynamite with the flat of Sethramir and at one second he catapaulted it upwards as far as he could. It exploded in a shower of sparks and fire above them. He jumped out of the sprenscreen and tried to see where the dynamite had came from, hopefully the person was close, they had to be if they needed to throw the dynamite. He began enhance-Rioting fear and hopelessness in a large area around him, careful to exclude Silph and Astiel. He focused on the Rioting, and with some more enhancing pulled on it, making sure he regulates its strength, not going full-Oasis. You never went full-Oasis. -

“Fun,” Max said drily, though he smiled a bit and Sethramir formed in his hands. “I really got to figure out how to turn this thing into a spear like Devaan does.” With Max’s childhood training with mostly a staff, a spear would be legendary. Looking around, Max tried to see if he could spot anyone on the roofs. “I can give us cover,” he said as he focused his Rioting on a rat passing by, tried focusing it so hard. Spren of all colours flitted into view, and he continued the Rioting, flared it until more spren appeaered and it was a thick cloud so he and the other two were hidden in a large smokescreen of spren. A sprenscreen. “Recent trick I learnt,” he said. “But it should be useful for the time being. What do you know about them?” He asked Astiel. -

The Big Bad Wolf looked up to the fox in the tree, and then to Solona. “I want to play games with you, but these foxes don’t want to. They’re mean, you see. If you can convince them to come down and play with us, that would be great.” He looked up to the fox and her pup and growled, jumping up and clawing at the tree, but they were too high. Roaring he huffed, and he puffed, and he charged into the tree, making it shake only slightly. And he tried again and again.

Long Game 52: Treachery in the South
I think I am here. replied to Kidpen's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am active! *power ranger theme plays* What are our counts for elims again? Was it three or four starting out? Which means that there’s two or three left. Which means no lylo! So woohoo, we at least get some more cycles before anything gets game-endings dangerous. Unfortunately, it was my inactivity near the end of last Day which caused my vote to stay on Ark despite him posting, it won’t happen again. Edit: and some RP: The Masked Itiah was happy. He waited in the airship, and he grinned, as medallions were passed, and people were killed, and the Northerners were killed. And the Masked Itiah finally put on his mask. And he grinned, for this was the end. And the South would rule.- 472 replies

“So, by that logic, did anyone seem particularly normal to you?” After this, Csilen would probably go to the next witness. This lady wasn’t as helpful as the previous man.
-
“You don’t remember anything mysterious?” Csilen asked. “No unsusal fellows or someone who seemed off?”
-
“Sorry,” Csilen said, moving to the next witness in the line. The old lady. “I thought I could help. The rusting man didn’t even seem scared.” Approaching the old lady he tapped Connection and laid a hand on her shoulder. “Are you ok?” He asked gently. “I haven’t seen your granddaughter, but I’m sure she was headed to a safe place. All of the survivors were,” he lied. “Now, what did you see?” @Nohadon

It was a whisper. Not even that. A fraction of one. Csilen cried, and cried. He was insane too. Hearing the fugitive’s voice in his head, whispering, pretending it actually cared about him. If you’re really there, Csilen told as he petted the breadmunk. His only friend. Then I want to let you know how much I hate you. And with a primal roar and cry of all emotions in one he supertapped every single metal one on him at once, sending a surge pf Connection in every direction before bringing the gun to his head one last time. “AAAAAAAAAAHHH—” BA-BANG! And the Connection faded.
-
-
He just had to pull the trigger. Csilen looked at the breadmunk. “What have I got left?” he inquired. “Nobody. Nothing.” He laughed a bit as Connection emanated from him. “Nobody would even care if another constable like me faded away into nothing.” He felt the gun against his head, crying.

Spanreeds that persuade you to kill people. Like Nightblood! Nightspan: Hey, you should totally kill that guy. Farmer: No, thanks, Nightspan. Nightspan: Come on, it’ll be fun! Farmer: I liked the older spanreeds. Nightspan: KILL HIM NOW Farmer: I just want to get my taxes sorted out...- 32 replies

The Big Bad Wolf shook his head. “You have to eat. You have to drink eventually.” He looked up at the fox and her pup. “So come down that tree, or I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow it all down anyway.” He licked his lips.

“Hey, Astiel!” Max said with a smile, eating some his own shrimp HaiKo. “This is good,” he said, looking down at his food, and then at Bel, the cook. “For a second I thought it was going to be like the stuff Devaan used to cook.” He laughed. “But I’m glad it’s not.” Truth be told, Max was a little nervous around all the trainees, looking at him. Sure, he was also one of the three Canton leaders, but Max’s speciality was always Operations. The missions outside the training grounds. He’d never fully known a lot of the trainees. He turned and stared in disbelief as Astiel chugged some Horneater White. “Isn’t that stuff meant to be strong even for Horneaters?” He asked incredulously. @Nohadon -

I like character theme songs. The only problem is that I can’t really think of fitting ones. But Alask’s, or at least when he’s the Shade, I would probably be The Prowler’s theme from Into the Spiderverse. I like that theme. -

“And 100% chance he shows up drunk,” Max agreed. He got a mental message from Althea, that she was fine and she loved him, and he smiled and sent the same back. “And then there’s Thea. Who’s great,” he smiled, and walked towards the circle of trainees.
