Well, I would say Aona and Skai probably regret becoming Shards, as it caused them to die.

If you could do that, you could spike Iron Feruchemy into a rocket then Awaken it and command it to Be Lighter to make it require less fuel.

Or maybe Khriss is right, but for a different reason. Or maybe the Dor is making the land gain sentience, but the land still can't be a Vessel because it doesn't have a spiritweb. I'll dig out the exact wording on that later.
