    Doc sighed, rubbing his eyes. “I suppose you’re right, and even if I object, you might go around my back and do it anyway. And if something bad happens…” he trailed off, “But we should do some research before we start planning the capture and possible torture of a Voidbringer.”

    Doc frowned. "Look, I think is a bad idea. If it was possible to 'free' a Voidbringer, then someone probably would have done it by now. Even if we did 'free' one, who's to say that their personality would be any different from before. Their bond isn't what makes them do what they do. Think about it. We bond spren because we exemplify the traits that the spren are attracted to. Who's to say that the Voidbringers are any different than us, how we attract a spren and bond it?"

    Quinn sighed, stubbing out his cigarette. "I have a car, but you can't complain about my music taste if you're gonna ride with me."

    "Well it's a bit too late to stop it now." Dapper said with a grin, "The power... it's not... evil, nor is it good. It simply is, and we decide how to use it. Now, I'm sure everyone is different, but when I became real, you might say, I knew the power innately, how to use it to manipulate the world. I was nerver corrupted by it because I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. My Intent, you might say."

    SepLar yawned and scratched her cheek lazily. "So uhh, what now? Do I get a badge or something?"

    "The Voidbringers, they bond spren, just like us. That's what's gives them red eyes, and their powers. They bond the spren willingly, with Intent. They made that choice willingly, to bond that spren. So now that I think about it, they are different than most criminals, in the fact that they willingly decide to destroy, and bond a spren to do that."

    "I wouldn't call myself a wise man, but I have thought about this a bit. I can't promise that I have the right answers, however, so don't go around using my words a justfication for who knows what." he cleared his throat, then continued, "In response to your first question, I would ask this. Who would you rather be the judge, if not us? We have to do this, because no others can. In responce to your second question: There is nothing that seperates them from a normal criminal, but the people we trust to protect us from normal criminals can't protect us from Voidbringers. So we're doing what they can't." Doc paused, "Finally, I'd say this to your third question: 'Good' and 'Evil' aren't really the best terms in general. In this case, they suck. Killing could be considered 'evil,' and saving someone 'good'. Don't think of it like that. We're not good or evil. We're just fighting to protect what we love."

    "'Nice' isn't a word I would ever use to discribe myself or my companion." Kvasir said, joining the conversation. "We're just here to get our friend and go. Please don't try to stop us, because then I'd have to restrain the Avenue Man from melting you all into a pulp.

    "Look buddy. I'm fairly sure that my boss sent some people to pick me up anyway. Stand users." Rydin smiled and put on a pair on sunglasses. ~~~ Kvasir skated smoothly to a stop just a few meters away from the group. The Avenue Man, however, kept barreling foreward until Kvasir increased his friction and stoped him abruptly. He dismissed Fortunate Son and scanned the group for any Stand users. There was only one, and he matched Rydin's description. The Avenue Man got up and walked over to Kvasir, then whispered, "Meant to do that." to him.

    Doc looked up from doing Thanos poses and rested his hands on the table. "What's on your mind, Shana?"

    "Ah." Dapper ahed, "So anyone we say 'you're a Writer now, kid' to will become a Writer, due to tbe powers given to a Writer. Is the opposite true? Does simply saying, 'You're not a Writer no more' to a writer strip them of their status. But no, they would be protected by their own power... How is the power level of a Writer determined. Is it in the same way? Do we decide our own power level?"

    Doc covertly sucked in some Stormlight and tried to summon just the gauntlet of his Shardplate. It worked, and a glowing outline of each plate in the gauntlet appeared, before burning fully into exsistence. However, the gauntlet was just really heavy and nearly fell off before Doc clenched his fist. "Storm it!" he muttered, "No cool 'punching you with the the Plate guantlet' attacks then."

    "If you attempt to serve me any more cake, I will smash it into a pulp!" Doc threatened, only half joking.

    Doc watched Shana direct the pancake making proceedings. "How long do you think it'll take to make those?" he asked, "Because I have something I want to try when you guys are done."

    "Nothing?" Quinn shook his head, "No tapes or like, vials of metal. No gemstones? No pieces of colorful cloth?" Quinn chucked, taking a drag on his cigarette. "How disappointing."

    Doc stomped upstairs, looking tired. He didn't feel tired, but perhaps that was because he'd spent most of the night messing with his Shardplate. Plate was wonderful stuff, it lent him awesome stregth, (he'd crushed a few chunks of concrete with his hands) and protected his from basically every weapon he could try out on himself. He poured himself a cup of coffee, smiling slightly at the mere throught of showing the others.

    "I've killed our kind before. Writers, Narrators, whatever. But this is different than what I've done. I killed... other forms of me, and absorbed their energy. Morbid I know, but I don't regret doing it." Dapper cleared his throat, "This looks like straight up murder, though, and our murderer has a flair for the dramatic. That leads me to believe this was meant to get at someone who would be here. Ene is the most likely target."
