Death grabbed Yzabet by her wall breaking hammer. "Ugh, what do they teach you people these days? Does the original alleyverse 4th wall breaker have to teach you everything? You gotta have style. Canon? Can be bent. Backstory? See the Joker. Powers? Can be gained and lost quickly. But style? That's the cornerstone of the Alleyverse." He extended his arms until he looked like that Jesus statue in Rio, and then he raised them towards the sky. Suddenly a group of spiked moles rose from the ground and pulled the entire 4th wall underground. "I could have done it a thousand other ways, but I chose style. Think about it." As he said this a field of grass popped up in front lf him woth a red carpet extending out across it. He walked along it. As he did so he seized a lightsaber from a figure lying in the dirt, chilling. "See the reason Windu survived is that this man has style." Death grabbed the blade part of the lightsaber and broke it into his parts, and gave himself wolverine claws out of them. Retractabke ones. Yzabet must have been impressed, because as always, Death didn't simply have style - he had STYLE.

Death felt something. Godmodding. On him? Disgraceful. To avenge himself he made Devaan slip on a banana peel.

"It has nothing to do with the Swords. But with Solace, or Rhaizen, whatever that old crook controld now. I've been shown a future... a terrible future. One in which my daughter dies. Everyone dies. And not naturally. All at the same time. I don't know if it's malevolence or simple stupidity, but they're going to destroy the Alleyverse. Unless we get involved. Voidus... he is a fine being, one of my mentors, but he has been caught up with the defence of the DA. And I understand it, after all it is one of his creations. But I must save the Alleyverse, a task I can't perform alone, because breaking the 4th wall isn't that powerful when you're fighting an OP character with soldiers and an agenda. If we succeed, I shall most likely step aside, spend some time with my daughter. But until then I shall fight with every fiber of my being. Will you help me?"

The Guardians at the Gate

Mraize, many things have changed since you learned that. You can always teach an immortal being new tricks. ShardBreaker, these words are accepted. -
Death grabbed Devaan, his wings of fire came around him in a protective circle, and they disappeared. Death took them to one of his Alleyverse hidden underground homes. 'Would you like a drink?' he said reaching to open the liquor cabinet. 'I've noticed that talks of war go better over a drink.'
-
Death paused, looking at what unfolded before him, wings of fire unfolding behind him, one of George's many gifts. His staff turned into a Shardscythe, feeling like something dangerous was going to happen but he didn't know what. As he said this he noticed an eldritch monster walk up behind Devaan, probably a DA lab escapee. With one bat of his wings he appeared beside the monster, and letting his Shardscythe dissapear he touched the monster's slick body. It stopped in its tracks as its blood boiled and all the other liquids in its body froze. It collapsed near instantly, dead.
-
Death snapped his fingers and appeared beside Devaan. He compressed some Investiture into a fake voicebox for himself. 'So how you doing? Interested in helping me?'

Hello. Death here. Some recent occurrences have led me to believe that a new guild must rise, a guild to help the Alleyverse survive and grow, not stagnate and die. We are the protectors of the Alleyverse. The Guardians that protect the Alleyverse from irreperable damage. We are watchers on the wall. Guardians at the gate. Defenders of the dimension. I plan for this to be a non partisan guild, a place where great minds can cooperate no matter their allegiances. Anyone who swears the oaths will be considered and probably accepted. But do not fear guildless, you are also welcome. Each member shall receive a gift of Death, as well as training with the best. Pleaseppat below to join. The oath: I [insert name] swear to defend the Alleyverse. I shall not use my position here to betray others, but to help cultivate the Alleyverse, to assist with its growth. I pledge my loyalty to the fate of the Alleyverse, and am ready to give up life and limb to defend it. I am a watcher om the wall, a guardian at the gate, a cultivator of destiny.

Death had finished his training. His new powers were... well, not as powerful as George, but George had millions of years of practice. As he left George's place he took his new weapon. A simple oak staff at first glance, but it was more. Much more. As he exited George's home dimension he landed on Nalthis, the air warming his old bones. It was time to do something. Something great. Something to help the Alleyverse survive.

Death downed a bottle of George's finest shardpool liquid in celebration.

Death dabbed because he was now in a subforum.

Death worked hard. George pushed him, but more importantly, he pushed himself. One of the things that drove him was Rhaizen's insolence. That puny human didn't know what he was messing with, bringing back the dead, and he needed to be stopped. Death could send... no... that was too risky... he had been inactive, maybe even dead, for the past year. And even if he was alive... at what cost would destroying Rhaizen like that come? No, using that friend was out of the question he thought as he turned Breath into metal and that metal into sand. He must follow his own path.

George sighed and allowed Lopen's Aon Tia to work. His cup of plasma would have to wait. As Lopen entered the living room he switched to Death. Onle in this form could he survive here. George passed him a cup of plasma, but seeing Death's lack of interest in it he downed it himself. Even omniscient and omnipotent beings needed to adhere to the saying waste not want not. As Death was about to telepathically transmit his request, George stopped him. "I shall teach you. Your intention is pure, and besides, I'm bored, and you are quite literally the only being that I can teach. So you already have a partial mastery of time. Good. We can skip the basics of that then."
-
As he looked into his daughter's eyes Lopen realised that with Mraize hacking himself into total OPness, and also basically having a 3 person hivemind that will act as he pleases, Lopen must become more powerful to balance this threat. Time to go back to learning. Using his powers of Death he took this room outside of time. Only he could enter, time would not pass within, and only he could change that. He then decided to pay a visit to an old friend, a man named George. George was... well, George. No other way to explain it. He was the only person capable of what he was capable of, and the only other person he could teach his craft was Lopen. Voidus may have been more powerful than Lopen, but he was a mere mouse compared to George, while George was a... well, George.

The rat gave the spike to Lopen. It was a decoy. "Must I do everything myself?" he asked in an exasperated tone. As he said this he handed rat a spike finder. The DA only kept one and it only worked on those who were not strong in Ruin, but it had served him well over the years. The rat teleported to Rashan and used it. The one spike in his pocket flew out instantly, attracted by the incredible pulling force of this genius machine, and landed in the rat's hand, who instantly teleported away.

The rat compounds speed, runs up Rashan, and tears out his spike. He then instantly teleported away.

The rat couldn't speak properly, but Rashan could perceive that it was telling him to give the rat the spike or he wouldn't live long. See, the rat was also a fullborn, an early DA experiment. Messing with it was not recommended.
