  1. Actually their surprise is what makes me think that they were human or sentient before. For me that surprise is like recognition or remembring what they were like, which they have forgotten. My theory is that when they evolved, they were looking at the universe at such a macro level that they no longer see the buzzing irritation as life. It is like us looking at ants. we see bugs, but if we were to go among them, we might see families, and emotion.
  2. As i read in Oathbringer preface, Parshendi had shardblades before they met King Galivar's expidition. Secondly the shardblades were discarded after the parshendi were labotamised.
  3. Actually your second paragraph is what i am saying, i understand that these are desendents of the original, and we dont know as of yet when a parshendi is born, what form are they born in (Possbily in Book 4). Maybe they automatically attract a spren from one of their parents, and later learn how to change it. if that is the case, then the lost forms would still be passed down to the singers. The listners on the other hand decended from a warrior grooup, and may know of the forms at that time, but being a nomadic group, may have lost the non-important forms out of necessity.
  4. I was just hearing the podcast "History of Roshar Part 1", and i disagreed with one thing said there. They discussed that when parshmen got exposed to the everstorm, they got gifted different form. And then Venli felt dissapointed that these new singer do not understand the forms, that listners were trying very hard to find. I don't think that was the way. I believe that the these singer already had these forms, and the spren in their gemhearts before they were casterated from the cognitive realm by the humans, and when parshment entered the everstorm their connection was re-established and they re-gained their original form. I believe the spren were always there in their gemhearts. What do you thing?
  5. The only thing i don't like is that it is going to take 13-15 years for the final book to come out. (Assuming 2 years per book). Not complaining on Sanderson's Speed. He is the fastest Author i know. Just the scope of the series and Cosmere. In the end i know i will love all the books.
  6. WOR Duel was great. When kaladin jumped into the areana. i was thinking the other side is going to get their arse kicked now. I also wished Elohkar had gone a bit further. but had he said the first ideal, he would have been near un-killable
  7. Tell me of your favourite section/passage in the Stormlight series. The one that you overflowed with emotion, joy, sorrow anything. Mine is when Kaladin meets his parents in Oathbringer and especially when he tells the people of Heartstone about the void bringer. He rose in the air 2 feet and told them he was a radiant. I almost cried with joy when i read that. I can re-read that chapter over and over again.
  8. I don't think the dashes are linked to the amount of time the Heralds broke. I personally don't belive in that theory. I just think there were originally 16 spren of a certain type(maybe associated with Odium's invetigure which he took control of on coming to Roshar), which Odium used to make the Unmade. He combined their investigure. These 16 were changed i.e unmade, and the ones he combined got more sentience.
  9. ohh i have no music or lyrical sense.
  10. I think there were 16 spen originally which were combined to make the Unmade. This matches with number 16 of Adolnasium Ba Ado Mishram 3 Re Shephir 2 Sja Anat 2 Yelig Nar 2 Dai Gonarthis 2 Moelach 1 Nergaoul 1 *Che Moarish 2 Ashertmarn 1 Sum 16 *Chemoarish is the exception, she has no hyphen, but is sentient, I think chemoarish should have hyphen Odium claimed them and combined them to create specific capabilities he needed.
  11. Looking at the full cosmere and the amount of books planned, it is a much better rate than King Killer Chronicles. I am still expecting 1 Book and or Novella per year from BS. They may not all be SA, but thats good enough.
  12. NIce, more please. Lets make a song out of it
  13. It is stated in the book somewhere that Dawnshards destroyed Ashyn, so they predate Heralds, Honor Blades or Knight Radiats. Also Honor stated in a vision that he doesn't have access to them any more. This lets me believe they are not on Roshar. It they are, they are hidden from the view of the shards. Amia could be a good guess. Maybe Hoid is involved.
  14. I think you misunderstood me, I didn't mean they held most of Odium's investiture, but their investiture is mainly made up of Odium's. I think the 16 were unmade into 9 after he got stuck on Roshar, but the original 16 existed before.
  15. I have a new theory which support sentience teory. I think there were 16 spen originally which were combined to make the Unmade. This matches with number 16 of Adolnasium Ba Ado Mishram 3 Re Shephir 2 Sja Anat 2 Yelig Nar 2 Dai Gonarthis 2 Moelach 1 Nergaoul 1 *Che Moarish 2 Ashertmarn 1 Sum 16 *Chemoarish is the exception, she has no hyphen, but is sentient, I think chemoarish should have hyphen. These 16 spren held most of odium's investigure, and when Odium came to Roshar, and claimed them, he combined them to give them more power and sentience.
  16. Here is My List, Kaladin - He will most definitely die, in an heroic act near the end of book 5. Dalinar - He will ascend, though i am not sure at book 5 or 10. Proably book 5 Shallan - I don't think will die, but will go mad, and become a crazy savant teacher book 6-10 Adolin - Probably will die, and part of this will cause shallan's madness Szeth - He can die, but probably not. He hates his people, and will go for vengence on them, but will find truth, and will have a redemption arc. Nale - Will die at the hands or Szeth. Heralds - All heralds will die, at varied times in the series. Taln will probably be the last in Book 10. Bridge 4 - Some will die, Lopen is the most likely, Rock will survive. Taravangian - I feed he will be killed by end of Book 4, i don't see hime surviving till book 5. I feel his death at the end of Book 4 will open the way for the defeat of Odium in Book 5 Odium - He is going to have a major set back in Book 5, and either will die/shatterd, or will be heavily injured and then killed by book 10. Lift - will survive till the end. Renarin, Jasnah are 50/50 to live or die. i don't see them having much affect of their death.
  17. I think Void is a term for Odium related. Dawnsinger not knowing properly assosiated Humans with Odium, as Odium came to Roshar shortly after Humans came, and they probably mentioned they dealth with Odium. The way i see Odium behaving, is he goes to a planet, and minuplates its magic and peiple to his goal. He saw the Dawnsingers as a betrayed people and used them and gave them access to voidlight to power surges. These surges got named voidbinding, and made the Dawnsingers the firsr voidbinders I believe on Ashyn, Humand used a differnet magic provided which destroyed the planet. They may have been beguiled by Odium to act that way.
  18. I believe the Shin were the original Voidringer, the first Humans to come to Roshar based on Eila Stele, as Dawnsinger had not seen such creatures before who could not hear the songs or had soft skin. As they were refugees, the shin land was created for them as it represented their original world Ashyn. Odium on the other hand was not their god but they lent him an ear and they were betrayed. In this betrayal the humans were modified to shin features(Maybe Not) and this betrayal caused the destruction of Ashyn. When they came to Roshar, they swore off working for Odium and asked help from Honor and Cultivation. Dawnsingers were asked by Honor to accept the shin and give them land, which cultivation modified. Over time factions within Shin broke apart and explored outside shin land and betrayed/warred with Dawnsingers for more land etc. Core of the population stayed within Shin Lands. The one who migrated Intermingled with other spieced and caused further variantions in Humans. Also other factions of Humans worldhopped crating more packets and variants of humans. Humans bringing the original afinity to Ashyn Magic to Roshar, saw they can use surges on roshar via stormlight. So a few developed surgebinding not full radiants Odium later followed humans to Roshar independently, and fund Dawnsingers as feeling betrayed by Honor and Cultivation, as Honor was giving a lot of preference to Humans. Just like an elder child feels when a new sibling arives. Odium then minipulated the Dawnsingers, and gave them power to start the first real war where the fused were created to push back the humans. Honor countered this by creating the Heralds. I think the first war/desolation did not had a oathpact, but was created at the end, when all the fused were sent to Braise, and Ishar suggested the means to contain them there. After many desolation, Knights Radiants were founded to keep the order and prepare humans for the next desolation.
  19. I was once an early Beta reader for an Author Friend. Seeing the story go through its transition, changed it for me forever, I can't forget the alteration. So trust me wait for the final version, it will be a much better experience. You can try other cosmere books, or great books from other Authors
  20. I believe the Honorblades have a Deeper Connection to the Heralds even if someone else bonds it. Everyone else creats a shallow bond. It is stated in the Books somewhere that they used to lend them out. However the Bond between Jezrien and his blade was broken, and he has gone to the beyond. Heralds were normal humans imbued with investigure and made heralds. The Knife just removed that Investigure, and allowed Jezrien go to the Beyond. The Jem just holds the investigure not the soul of Jezrien. Now whether this will allow to make another Herald, i don't have a clue.
  21. I don't think we can equate prowess with soulcasting as radiant capability. The only think it compares to is how easily each radiant performs his/her primary surge. For shallan it is lightweaving etc. if we compare that, I see Shallan as the most advanced as the controls she show controlling so many illusions during the fight. I don't believe any Radiant has achieved Shardplate yet. Many are very close. With Regards to Jasnah, all that showed me was that she was close. Just like kaladin gathered the windspren around him. If Jasnah had shardplate she would have worn it full time during the battle.
  22. I agree with that fact, hence i didn't say anything about the dagger.
  23. Previously the desolations were coming quicker and quicker. It is mentioned that the last two real desolations were less than a year apart. Odium may not have seen a need for the everstorm, as he was only a few desolations away from winning and time is not something Shards worry about. If the oathpact had been properly maintained, the final desolation would have come mere months from the previous one, and Team Honor would not have had time to rebuild. However because the Last desolation happend the way it did, Team Honor found a way to bring a big gap between desolations even if un-intentional. Odium knew he couldn't risk that again, hence created the everstorm to stop fused going back to braised. Also once the Last desolation happened, his tools were getting removed i.e. the Unmade were getting captured, or somthing. He didn't have any Fused as they wer trapped on Braised. so it probably took him a long time to put the plan in mothing. I believe Knights Radiants breaking their bond, is possible part of that long term plan.
  24. I feel one reason for the recreance was that one or more goups in the Radiants orders (Probably the Skybreakers) decided to strip the Listners of their mind, and create the parshman. Other orders disagreed. Windrunners and Stonebreakers and other probably were used to involuntary to do this. Probable at stormseat/shattered plains. When the windrunners and stonebreakers found out what they had done event though involuntary, they saw their oaths broaken, and out of guilt of not being used again and probably seeing the destruction at stormseat broke their bonds. Probably a lot of raidaints and civilians died in that shattering.
