  1. Okame turned to the source of the sound. "Pardon me, mafah'liki, but what would your name happen to be? I would not wish to do you disrespect by referring to you incorrectly."
  2. Building off of this: Nightblood gauss rifle used with gravity and heat fabrials.
  3. "She is the only reason I knew it was there in the first place. She noticed it on her own and slipped away to check it out, drawing my attention." @ZincAboutIt
  4. I wasn't expecting to wake up to being around 14 rep points higher than I was when I went to sleep. Thanks for the spam!

  5. "Faint? From hunger? You mistake me - I brought my own food." Okame pulls a chouta from the inner pocket of his robe and begins munching. "Anyway, why is there a...spren, maybe... that looks like dust hanging above everyone? Is that normal?"
  6. Good thought, but the magic on Ashyn wasn't always disease based. It is suggested, even, that the cataclysm that forced the exodus(es) changed the magic itself to the disease-based thing it is now.
  7. Malu unlocked the Tavern door, happy that the repairs hadn't taken long and exceptionally happy to be able to get back to making people content. As he began to make checks on what would need to be restocked soon, the door's bell jingled. I wasn't expecting someone to be that quick! He thought, turning around and smiling, only to be confronted by a most unusual sight: dark-robed figures filing through the door and approaching the bar. As they came closer, he did a quick headcount - nine. The part of him that still thought like a Vorin ardent cringed at the number, and he wondered if it was intentional. If it was, whoever sent them certainly had done their homework. Attempting to still be courteous, since you never knew who you were talking to here, he kept the smile going and addressed the nine as they stood in front of the bar. "How can I help you all?" A grinding voice, replicated nine times, sounded from the group. "We will not stand for the continuation of such blasphemous activities as go on in this tavern. Repent when we return or face the consequences," they said, melting away into a dark vapor, the last syllable extending into a hiss. Malu frowned. Hadn't he just gotten done dealing with crazies in his tavern? Why couldn't they just let the bubble of peace persist? A disturbing thought also occurred to him, and he frowned deeper. "Katki, they didn't say what they wanted me to stop, did they?" "No, they didn't, boss. I think we'd both remember if they did." Katki gave the mental impression of a shrug. "Guess they couldn't have cared that much, huh?" "That, or they'd already decided. That possibility worries me." Katki hummed in agreement as he considered it and conceded the point. Malu poured himself a shot of good Roughs whiskey to lessen the impact of the occurrence and got ready for customers.
  8. That's not inexplicable, though. It's perfectly logical to be unsettled by that comment due to the sheer lack of judgement it would take to make that claim with a straight face.
  9. Yeah, sure send him to the Tavern (grand reopening!) or just give me permission to godmod him there and I'll have Malu kill him.
  10. What are the strangest comments that fill you with a deep unsettled feeling? I'll start: "I will unslice your bread"
  11. Me. I have a grinder.
  12. That says guide, not guild.
  13. It's very far away, but yes the red hair of the Vedens means shared ancestry with the Horneaters. Hence why Rock refers to Shallan as cousin. The Truths thing is just what Lightweavers do, though, yeah.
  14. As the door opens, a furious clacking noise becomes apparent, echoing down the hall as a heavily tattooed and facially scarred man comes sprinting down the hall, waving a stick in front of him, producing the clacking noise every time it hits the ground. "Am I late for the meeting?" he rasps.
  15. Hello! Welcome to the Shard! I'm going to be the first to give you the warning: beware baked goods. What's your favorite magic system?
  16. Janim inwardly sighed in relief over the lack of stubborn pride and followed.
  17. "Everything is interesting here to me, so you will have to be much more specific than that. I will not eat here, though, to maintain my illusion that you might have actual good food here, rather than risk a sullying of my palate." @ZincAboutIt
  18. "I do not argue against working it out in public, merely where we have less of a chance of drawing attention and interfering with what should be happening here."
  19. Feels good to be back to my normal self; to be caught up on my writing schedule is rewarding as well.

  20. The big issues would be him being aware of the standoff. Without the ship's sensors, he's not exactly very good at knowing what's going on around him. Not to mention his issues with leaving the ship. But yeah that would probably be the best point. Thanks!
  21. Coolio! Now I have to go catch up on what is actually happening. Is there an elegant way to insert myself?
  22. Sorry for the lateness. I got distracted. @Dr. Dapper @Darth Woodrack here's my character!
  23. Janim, seeing that the conflicts centered around the Apex, turned to Algorath. "Perhaps we should talk outside, my friend." @Vargo Seldon
  24. At the barest hint of a possible confrontation inside the building, Janim hopped up from the feigned doze, becoming a sniffer hound and padding inside to hopefully head off a confrontation. "Did I hear you needed a bloodhound?" they asked.
  25. Yeah, there's that, Horneaters eating shells and stuff (*shudder* throat teeth), the ability to see most spren. There's a few.
