Invocation

Hey! Forgot I'd made a post about that on here. The best way to say it would be that it's temporarily on a hiatus. I worked myself into a corner and will need to go back and redo a lot of the foundations I had laid out to make it actually workable. In the meantime I've been sampling from a bunch of other systems to try to see how they patch that kind of gap, so there's some ideas percolating. 

Once I've got some breathing room with my other projects it'll make a reappearance! Glad to hear you're still interested in it though; I'll be sure to update the thread when I can get back to it.

@Mistfallen Soldier glad to hear you're interested too! Competing with established classes and systems like warlocks and D&D as a whole is a major consideration, but I'm hoping I can make the spell customizations interesting enough that it acts as something of a draw even for people trying to recreate those types of classes and interactions.

(The fact that it's been three years since I made that thread makes me feel like I'm crumbling to dust by the way. I hate time.)

The funniest part about the whole Markuth thing is that he didn't even ascend under his own power, he hitched a ride with someone else and then he tried to come back and hype himself up while relying another Iteration's energy system to fill in the gaps. But yeah he deserved it.
Dross haunting the Codex was hilarious, but I have to give the spot of favorite moment to Fisher Gesha yelling about Lindon over the teleport thing.

I also enjoy Northstrider getting to ascend, especially with the way the crew made him realize that doing so was the best option. I completely called the Li Markuth thing, as did a bunch of others, and the only real debate was how quickly Lindon could smack him around. I am also very glad Malice didn't get to ascend. She didn't deserve it.

That was a good moment.

Thought so far?

My friend, it is already out. They had technical difficulties (a final checkmark didn't go through right on one end or the other), so they uploaded it Sunday night at the end of the release livestream and let it show up whenever Amazon processed it. Which was in record time of 1 hour, 15 minutes.
I have already finished and it was great.

It was confirmed as Willverse content in a stream, yeah. Going theory has it being Iteration 119: Fathom, based primarily on the extended showcase it got in Reaper and the fact that it was described as having so many beings tying it to the Way that it anchored the entire sector, something that would make sense for an Iteration spread across multiple planets and/or galaxies. Even if it isn't Fathom itself, it's probably one of the other anchor Iterations for another sector.

That's what seems to be happening, but that was also what he had hinted at as the one he would start right before Cradle ended. I'm not taking anything for granted with Traveler's Blade, not this time. I'm not even sure that's the name anymore.

I did. It was very fun, and I can't wait for Waybound, all five of the other Last Horizon books, and the other series he mentioned he'd probably start as Last Horizon wraps up. (Crossing my fingers for a return to the world of Traveler's Gate)

Yeah it's very clearly Will's first work from things like that. At least Indirial is fun.

He said he's probably going to return to that world eventually, which we're all hoping comes soon to see some of the cool stuff from Will's more experienced skills now. 

And now onto Traveler's Gate, yes? That'll be fun, even if it's very obviously Will's first set of books.

That's fair, Bliss is pretty cool. I'm partial to either Urzaia or Shuffles though.

I'm glad it worked! Reaper was all kinds of great reading, though I'm kind of jealous you got it right after Bloodline, because that wait was torture, even being as short as it was relative to other book releases. Are you in the fan discord yet?
