*sigh* It seems that when I decide to protect somebody at random, nobody dies. When I decide to do something else, the person I would've protected dies. All hail Queen Jasnah.- 1062 replies

Venli. It seems Nale had succeeded in his quest. @SE_Adolin_Kholin I have a request. Would you mind if I protected Venli? If we both succeed, I get my win condition completed, and I think you should be able to kill her afterwards. If you fail, nothing happens. If I fail, she dies.- 1062 replies

Kelek started at the offer by Elhokar. After all the events of the feast, he had forgotten the original purpose. A treaty with the parshendi... it would change things. But hopefully change things for the better.- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Plum Rhinoceros replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Finally getting a hold of himself, Kelek ran, searching for his fellow heralds. He may not have any idea what to do, but any of the others were sure to have some kind of a plan. Seeing Nale standing in front of Jasnah, he hurried over. Before coming within eyesight, he stopped and began listening in on what Nale was saying.- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Plum Rhinoceros replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Kelek shook in fear. Something had happened... this whole damnation ball had been doomed from the start. People plotting everywhere you looked. It seemed that Death was roaming the halls, killing whoever he pleased. Get a hold of yourself, he thought, You're a storming herald. You need to be a guide to these people. Putting his hand to his side, he started counting his heartbeats. A storm was coming, and he was one of few people who would know how to weather it.- 1062 replies

Kelek stood up. "I have a small announcement to make. These rampant murders have been going on long enough, and it's time to stop them. If anyone has even a suspicion that they are the next target, don't hesitate to communicate with me privately, and I will do all I can to protect you. That is all."- 1062 replies

Kelek frowned at the woman. "Ialai, I'm afraid I'm not sure I can forgive this. I realize that you weren't intending to kill Torol, but you tried to kill somebody. I don't have any particular proof that you won't be continuing to do so.- 1062 replies

Kelek wandered slowly around the party, trying to discern the intents of his fellow partygoers. Turning to both Jasnah and Sadeas, he smiled. "That must have been quite startling for you, Brightness. Do you have any insight as to who may have wanted to have you killed?- 1062 replies

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Plum Rhinoceros replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I've heard regular people say immortality is a blessing. They wonder what it would be like to be one of the mythological figures of their religion, to have the power to enact real change. They are, as usual, sadly misinformed. Not only about the basic tenets of their religion, Vore-ism or something, but about everything. I've seen eternity, have looked into the face of a god. A dead god. I'd felt like I ought to pay my respects. After all, it was most likely somewhat my own fault. I can't imagine Honor was happy to see the Oathpact shattered, and although I did acquiesce at the time, it still haunts me. That circle of Honorblades, with one spot forever empty. Talenel... I'd hated him at first. I'd thought it absurd to have a simple laborer among the ranks of us kings, scholars, greats. But he never gave up or in, and by that time, I was his staunchest supporter. He was the best of us all, in the end. And the last. Kelek blinked, brought out of his ruminations by the exclamation of the so-called Wit. "Perhaps if you exercised your wit more, people would be more interested in it. Just a thought."- 1062 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Plum Rhinoceros replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
lol I can't blame you too much since I didn't even get to place a vote in the end cuz of irl stuff for almost the entire cycle. rip Considering he never posted last cycle, I find it doubtful he even knew he was up for the lynch. Personally I'd like to hear from the new Weasel and give them a chance at their own take on the game before he gets voted on. Also, @Emerald Falcon I think it was, who posted about it not taking too long to look at Weasel's posts. I agree, except I made it through about halfway and literally had to leave irl before I could even finish lol. I'll do that today.- 1054 replies

Plum Rhinoceros replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I have to go so rip. I was really hoping to get a vote in, but I can't finish reading though Weasel's posts. From what I did read, he was very back and forth on Flamingo and I didn't get much farther than that. I don't really see his vote on Swan as extra suspicious. *shrugs I guess we'll see in a little while since he seems to be ahead. I really gotta go. Wish I coulda had more time on this. I'll try to do what I can next cycle.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Plum Rhinoceros replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah I would like to go back through her posts some more as I said. I just don't feel the Scorpion lynch and didn't recall this... ...about Weasel (considering I was a rhino from another life at the time:P) I'm not sure it's not a good thing to yank the lynch away from Weasel considering we're trying not to lynch another villager. I along with a lot of other players are probably just worried that this will end up the same as all the past lynches. With another dead villager. Plus, I don't remember Weasel even posting very much so there's less to look at from his death. I'd like more time to look at Toucan so for now I will take that vote away. I'm just feeling very pressed for time and don't want to see another lynch go down the drain. I'll try and calm down a bit and take a look at Weasel's posts for now.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Plum Rhinoceros replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah I getcha, but you can't let one lynch stop you from trying. Just gotta keep on going. So, I'm really disappointed that I got sick and zoned out from everything yesterday because I was crazy busy the day before and that leaves me with trying to rush and catch up on this cycle and not getting to add much input until the cycle is almost over. I don't think that Scorpion or Weasel will flip elim and I'm concerned that they may end up being the lynch for the day. I very highly doubt an elim would vote Dragonfly at this point because nearly everyone has said they trust them at this point. That would be much too risky a target for an elim to go after and I don't think that would just boil down to an IKYK because it doesn't seem worth it. I.E. Scorpion has almost gotten lynched for it. I don't see Weasel doing much outside of his regular play style and people saying they "have a bad gut read on him". I'm not saying he couldn't be an elim, but I'd rather see people voting for actual suspicions. I know people are saying stuff about his vote on meerkat looking odd but didn't nearly everyone who voted, vote on Meerkat? I'll go look at what was so off about his vote in particular. This was the "suspicious vote"? I think if he were an elim then he'd have just avoided voting all together if he'd been busy irl and not had time to fake suspicions on someone. Elims don't like adding to a late bandwagon without giving reasoning. Elims are normally less suspicious in their behavior than the villagers because they are incredibly more paranoid and check their posts a bunch to make sure they sound right. That's why it's so hard to find them. I agree with not voting on people like Dragonfly because they add to so much of the discussion and are one of my biggest village reads. In a case like that you just have to focus on the people lower on your list and work from there. One thing that I'd like to point out to @Ivory Dragonfly is that I don't think you should be skipping player's reads like Toucan's just because you don't want to be seen as copying them. That's an excellent way to let an elim slip by your radar. You should be looking at everything everyone says. I'm mostly bringing this up because I've been thinking about Toucan more lately and do see her giving a lot of "analysis" but not giving a ton of reads on people. I've had an elim do that to me and I trusted them for most of the game and died before I could voice my suspicions. So I'd like to say it now and go back through Toucan's posts again. This post sounds a little non committal to me. I think you should still vote because if you don't get a chance to get back on then you don't add to the lynch and people tend to skim over that sometimes because they're so focused on who did actually vote. I think for now I will go with Toucan because she seems to be posting a lot without leaning too far in one direction or the other on players and elims love to play the middle ground. I think there'd be plenty of interaction between them and the other players to let us get a lot of info from seeing her alignment. I'm honestly just not crazy about the other lynch candidates and I think Toucan is a better option. I'd really like to have more time to go through their posts again but seeing how it's so close to cycle's end I need to vote now.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Plum Rhinoceros replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So, I kind of got sick yesterday and that was fun. Not much I could do about posting. I did catch up and take notes and had quoted these particular posts to comment on so let me do that and then catch up the rest of what I missed while I was less than healthy. I personally agree that Axolotl doesn't seem like an elim just for his "secret voting" techniques. Do I think it's a bad idea? Yes. But not one an elim would do. Mmmm I'd say players do still analyze the kills pretty often. But the elims tend to pick people who won't give the village any info from their death. Not someone who previously spouted suspicion of them on one of the very last cycles. I think if you wanted to vote someone you found suspicious that early in the cycle then you should go for it. If you want your biggest suspicion lynched than you should be pushing them as early as possible. This part of your post just sounds like a lack of committing to who to lynch and staying out of the limelight by not pushing hard for someone you suspect. Okay I'll have to catch up the rest of the way from what I missed yesterday. I'd say sorry, but I couldn't really help getting sick so I blame life.:P- 1054 replies

Plum Rhinoceros replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay everyone, I disappeared for a little while because I was busy irl, but I'm back now and will get caught up soon. I see a lot of votes for Weasel already just from scanning down the thread and seeing the names in red. I'll have to take a look. Be back later once I've caught up and thought through everything. The meerkat lynch became a giant pile on after a while so let's be sure and look at this carefully if that starts to happen with the lynch on Weasel.- 1054 replies

Anniversary Game 4/Anonymous Game 1: A Fresh Start
Plum Rhinoceros replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Ivory Dragonfly lol it was sort of an assault on meerkat because I was listing my reasons for suspecting them. I wanted them lynched because I really thought they were an elim. Darn xD I go full out on why I suspect them rather than bandwagon. @Sapphire Elephant yeah true...a lot of people did just jump on, but that's also helpful to look at because the pile-on shows that elims might've latched on to the lynch. @Fuchsia Ostrich welcome 2.0! Edit: oh yeah, forgot to mention the thing about Kangaroo addressed by Dragonfly. I was saying it looked odd about his votes all being on villagers who have been confirmed village now (even his votes that he's removed) and that it wasn't proof or grounds for hard suspension, just something that struck me as a possibility in my elim section bulletin board in my brain lol. Yes, he is still on my suspicion list but mostly for lack of seeing him do much to clear him off my list. (Which mostly everyone is on xD)- 1054 replies
