  1. Read this post and assumed it was dead haha Gah there've been issues with speed voting this game My brain is slow and my fingers are slower
  2. So things aren't as bad as we immediately thought, which is some good news. I think I still won't be very active for a couple of days or so for legitimate RL reasons, but I'll still try to get a post in tomorrow. Hoping I can be more active in future cycles >> [Curious to see what your reads list looks like when you turn the paranoia up to a maximum.] :We like pressure, don't we :eyes: Really liking Meerkat's analysis of Dragonfly I will add that there have been cases of villagers panicking in the case of a large VC swing and switching a vote to a random pockets to 'throw off the elims'. But I don't see that happening here. As mentioned, D1 was relatively stable in the last six hours. Why does V!Dragonfly panic? Dragonfly
  3. Was hit with some rough family news this morning. I don't think I'll be as active for the next couple of days [That was an honest mistake. I meant to remove those name. I think I must've pasted the wrong list of names Just pretend that all my good list names are removed from my PoE cause that was the whole point.]
  4. [So for some reason I thought that Heron was a runaway train but it's closer than I thought] Flamingo, Falcon
  5. Aylia sat at her writing desk, her surroundings awash with pens of every hue and size. She had always been a stickler for finding the optimal writing instrument, and this occasion was no different. She reached for a pen with a fine nib, testing its ink on a sheet of waste paper. However, the script was too light, the ink fading rapidly and failing to meet her expectations. Disappointed, she set the pen aside and moved on to the next. This pen had a broader nib and seemed to flow more smoothly across the page, yet the ink was too dark, the script too bold for the delicate hand she had in mind. Aylia sighed, setting the pen aside in turn. One by one, she tried each pen, but none seemed to satisfy her requirements. The ink was either too light or too dark, the nib too fine or too broad. Aylia cast the pens aside in frustration. "Why, oh why, can I not find a pen to my liking in this accursed place?" she muttered to herself. Rising from her seat, she began to pace the room, her mind racing with potential solutions. Perhaps she could try a different shop, or import one from a neighboring town. Yet as she rummaged through her desk for her laptop, the feeling that no matter where she looked, she would never find a pen to suit her purposes weighed heavy on her. "Maybe I'll just settle for a pencil," she thought. [OOC: Been busy with celebrations and suddenly got swamped with work today. I have time to say a couple of brief thoughts, though. One of the most interesting things to me is the way discussion preceded toward EoD, which as some have pointed out, might imply lower-activity or less-vocal Spiked. At six hours to EoD, the five-way tie included <Hyena, Mouse, Dingo, Penguin, Iguana> and at three and a half hours Tuatara's unvoted me and removed me from the mix. Different people have covered the way the votes preceded after that, so I won't cover the exacts, but the important part is that this tie was maintained until seven minutes before rollover, when Croc moved from Mouse to Kangaroo. I think for this I'll put Mouse and Penguin to the side for now, along with some players players that I've gotten good vibes from at some point or have a good gut feeling about (Mouse, Swan, Tuatara, Dragonfly, Lion, Rhino, Meerkat, Toucan). This good-list isn't exhaustive as I am having some trouble connecting posts to the many many PMs I have had. I think it's fine for purposes at the moment, though. This leaves <Scorpion, Falcon, Ostrich, Weasel, Albatross, Croc, Heron, Flamingo, Lion, Toucan, Chameleon, Rhino, Meerkat, Elephant>, of which <Heron, Weasel, Flamingo> have votes. Honestly though, I've not enamored with the cases for any of the three. Slightly unnerved by all the Heron votes, but that's normal for me. I don't feel a need to add to those. Looking back, Weasel has felt somewhat genuine (though not enough to put him on my haphazard good list and remove him from my temp voting pool). I suppose I'm fine with voting Flamingo This has been experiments with voting methodology with Hyena] Edit: PMed you
  6. [OOC: It's interesting how Dingo was killed by the Spiked. I might have expected that kill to be a coinshot one. So at least 3/4 of the D1 ending lead trains were village. Interesting. I think... I might still lean vil on Dragonfly atm. This is making me reconsider slightly, though]
  7. Aylia stood at the edge of the crowd, watching in horror as Taltin Keriell was dragged out of the tavern and lynched. She had never met the man, but the sight of his lifeless body hanging from the gallows made her feel sick to her stomach. OOC: Why were we voting Iguana? I feel like the last second vote is villagery here, honestly.
  8. Aylia stood at the front of the village, her heart pounding in her chest as she addressed the gathered crowd. "I propose Sage Kangaroo as a candidate to be lynched," she declared, trying to keep her voice steady. "I have observed him lurking in the shadows, acting suspiciously and evading questioning." Aylia could see the fear and mistrust in their eyes, and she knew that they were all thinking the same thing: that they couldn't afford to take any chances. But she stood firm, her gaze unwavering as she waited.
  9. As Aylia sat at her desk, she couldn't shake the feeling of doubt that lingered in the back of her mind. She knew that she had to be careful in her investigations, to not let her emotions cloud her judgement. But it was hard, especially with the knowledge that she could be executed if she accused the wrong person of being a Spiked. She couldn't help but think back to her conversations with Willam. He had always seemed a little suspicious to her, with his evasive answers and strange behavior. But was it just because she was feeling paranoid and anxious about the situation, or was there really something off about him? Aylia sighed and rubbed her temples, feeling the weight of the situation bearing down on her. She knew that she had to trust her instincts, but it was hard to do when she was constantly second guessing herself. She just hoped that she would be able to find the Spiked before it was too late. After much contemplation, Aylia made the difficult decision to move Willam from her list of highest suspects. She knew that it might not be the most logical choice, but she couldn't shake the feeling that she was making the wrong decision. This issue...seemed different. There were just too many conflicting pieces of information, but she was sure she would find other places to look. Edit:
  10. OOC: With all respect, doing something suspicious intentionally still makes the behavior suspicious, no matter how you frame it. What question was it that I dodged? Edit: I see your 'for clarity'. I didn't explicitly comment on it as I was still in character, but I did mention that I didn't like it:
  11. OOC: Do you imply that perhaps at least one in the set is elim? I don't like the idea of labeling someone "indisputably not Spiked". It reeks of tmi. Willam
  12. Aylia sat at her desk, staring at the piles of parchment in front of her. It seemed that everyone in the village had something to say, and they all wanted her attention. She was relieved that the majority of the messages seemed to be supportive of her efforts to root out the Spiked, but there were a few dissenting voices as well. Some people seemed to think that the whole idea of the Spiked was just a paranoid delusion, and that Aylia was wasting her time and resources. As she read through the messages, she made a list of the people who seemed most suspicious. She had a gut feeling that some of them might be the Spiked, and she was determined to find out for sure. She stared at the list. Twenty-two people. First, there was Koros, who with his smooth words and charming demeanor, could easily be hiding a sinister nature. Then there was Onidsen, with a quiet and seemingly harmless presence. Could he be lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike? Next, Reverse, who with his mysterious background and vague explanations confused Aylia. And WitLees, with his sudden appearance and sudden disappearance, who was cheerful for one second and foreboding the next. Aylia sighed and leaned back in her chair, feeling frustrated and overwhelmed. She knew that she needed to keep her wits about her and be careful, but it was hard when she felt like she was constantly surrounded by danger and uncertainty. [OOC: *regrets sending RP PMs to every single player* More to come after I respond to everyone I'll be here for about fifteen minutes then I must leave for a few hours, so if I don't respond to you now, I'll be back later] Aylia recalled talking with WitLees for a moment. There wasn't much to note from that conversation—he had disappeared quite suddenly after spreading paranoia about a possible appearance of Ruin.
  13. Aylia couldn't help but feel drained as she sat on the rooftop, surrounded by the seemingly endless darkness. She had been in constant correspondence with the other villagers for what felt like hours, trying to come up with a plan to find and stop the Spiked among them. But despite the importance of their conversations, Aylia's energy was running low. It was necessary, she knew, but it was also exhausting. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind and find a moment of peace. But even in the silence, she could feel the weight of the village's problems bearing down on her. Aylia knew she couldn't give up, not when the safety and well-being of her fellow villagers was at stake. But she also couldn't help feeling overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of it all. She stood up and walked to the edge of the rooftop, looking out at the twinkling lights of the city below. It was a beautiful sight, but it was also a reminder of the dangers that lurked in the shadows. Aylia sighed and turned back towards the mansion, knowing that she had to gather her strength and continue the fight. She would do whatever it took to protect her loved ones, even if it meant sacrificing her own comfort and peace of mind.
  14. Aylia nodded slowly, her understanding of the situation beginning to clear. "I see, thank you for explaining. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding. I hope you find your purpose, Willam." Despite her words, Aylia couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered within her. She had never encountered a Terris Steward before, and the idea of someone not knowing their purpose or even their own Master was unsettling to her. She couldn't help but feel a sense of pity for Willam, knowing how difficult it must be to live in such uncertainty. And yet, she couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to his story than he was letting on.
  15. Confusion filled Aylia's mind as she tried to make sense of Willam's words. She couldn't understand why he would make a claim like that. And why was he offering himself for hire? Aylia raised her hand tentatively, hoping to clarify the situation. "Excuse me, Willam, but I'm not sure I understand. Why would you want to lock up the Obli-gator if you believe them to be innocent? And what do you mean by offering yourself for hire?"
