  1. Well, now we have: one vote for Emerald, two votes for Ivory and one vote for Coral
  2. I HAVE AWOKEN FROM MY SLUMBER Anyway, people seem to be giving good points on the Kandra being neutral or good, but I think I still agree with Melon Dingo's analysis. Something is harmful to the villagers here, and it seems to have a savage way of killing. Apart from the Hemalurgic Chimera things in BoM, which seem too mysterious right now to make a role on, and Koloss not being too bad now, I can only see this as a Kandra, or maybe a particularly depraved human, though the body-snatching hint makes me think it's the former. Now, it seems that many people are assuming that there even is an elim faction. If you look, on page 1 Fuchsia Ostrich remarks how with two elim kills (one from the supposed Kandra and the other from the supposed elim team) and a lynch each cycle could be able to make the game go by very fast, in 4 cycles. Now, that is a very short number of cycles, especially for an MR game, and it leads me to believe that we might not have an elim team, or if we do, they don't get a faction kill. I can imagine win cons like 'protect the Kandra' or 'get X amount of mislynches' or things like that, that are bad for the village but not necessarily a kill. Or, maybe you guys are right with the theory of the Kandra being a neutral entity that just wants to survive, and so they wouldn't be swapping crazily, thus opening up the possibility for an 'elim' or "village' or 'other faction completely' kill. I'll RP later.
  3. Unfortunately, having a 'confirmed villager' to not get killed by the village kill only leaves them open to be body-snatched. It's like these problems complement each other.
  4. Cool. Wait, I just got a genius idea. Y'all can thank me later. Basically, all of you, and I mean all of you, have a 'thing' that you put when you're writing. Maybe have two space after a full stop, or have a certain pattern to how many words are in each paragraph. Basically, make a subtle pattern that goes through all of your writing, and don't tell anyone what it is. This way, if a Kandra takes over your account and starts writing we'll be able to scrutinise your posts to oblivion and see a difference. Not foolproof, but not too shabby either, right?
  5. Woah! Double Ninja'd. You got Ninja'd by me who got Ninja'd with others. Anyway, RP V turned to see an woman, beckoning him to join the little cluster of listeners she'd created. The lady appeared to have a bionic, which was nothing new. It appeared new generation. As he approached, he begun to hear what the woman was saying, talking about making a system of leaders and a council. V found it interesting, until she spoke to him directly, telling him they needed every voice to help. V leaned in at that, whispering to the woman, not wanting to scare the others, He wasn't the type to make speeches, but he felt his words had the effect he intended. "That's all well and good, but my only fear is that helping too much is the exact kind of thing that'll get us killed. Believe me, my grandfather knew of these creatures. They were intelligent. And they could be any of us." The words were true, troubling as they were. V's grandfather had always been the type to brag about their success, to bloat and be smug. But through his ramblings V had found information, transcripts from another time. They depicted the monsters V thought were here now, crawling through the ship. No. V had to survive. He had to get back to Scadrial. He needed to. Home was only a short while away, and every extra second in this stuffed hauler was a torment. Who would die next? Who would be the next victim, or as his grandfather had put it, the next meal.
  6. @Fuchsia Ostrich It says in the sign up page that account swapping will be a new mechanic. @Indigo Weasel I agree that the Kandra would have to be limited in some way. I guess the trick here is to not be too quick to trust anyone. In fact, if someone is a confirmed villager I would be more suspicious of them, rather than less. Something like 3 swaps seems reasonable enough, and I would argue that a person being trusted to give good reads would also be targeted, as mimicking someone who's trusted to give reasonable fingers of suspicion means that the Kandra can then falsify reads, or use the trust gained to assure us that someone else is the Kandra by claiming that they have a Seeker role, which they can't be accountable for when they swap bodies. Damnation, are we even sure that the Kandra is our only threat? Edit: Ah, damnation. Ninja'd by two people. Once for the body-swapping and the other for the reads
  7. @Melon Dingo Agreed. Anyway, I think I'll start off with some old-fashioned RP V rested himself against a wall, feigning calmness, or at the very least, keeping the whole hauler from knowing how fast his heartbeat was going. As he looked outside a nearby window to distract himself from the situation at hand, V regarded the cosmos. Vast, empty. He was trapped, along with everyone else, in this ship. In his hand he carried two books. People still read them nowadays, though not as much as before. One was modern and thin, it's sleek sides smooth in his hands. The other was old and archaic, rough and thick. V stuffed both in his backpack, and regarded the refugees amassed in here. Among them, who could he trust?
  8. Yes, very happy. Though not that you're not relaxing on my account. I understand why the assumptions were made. And maybe they're even reasonable assumptions. Assumption 3 still amuses me though.
  9. I love the assumptions in your post. And there's some good ideas in there, although misguided. But then, have you expected any of the things we've done? Heron
  10. Wyrmimir, I think the problem that's here is that you made a mistake and now Scorp thinks you're a fake
  11. Problem is I've got this thing about voting the next player on the list each post.... Kangaroo
  12. Aww. Unfortunately I think that's about the only thing we can't do... It'd be fun to have you though. Should hopefully be a fun read. Eh, this lynch suits us just fine. Though, do you really think there's any chance any (or enough really) of your fellow villagers would actually be motivated to be on? O.o Chameleon
  13. I would upvote you if this account let me Also, we've recently had an opening on our crew. How 'bout it? Care to serve the Diagram? Heron (you just happened to be next...)
  14. Just trying to help Crocodile And thanks (I guess?) for supporting what I was just saying, Chameleon
  15. It certainly looks like you are. And if you aren't posting you may as well be inactive. Just following Heron's votes around isn't much better. I'm not convinced that if he'd made an argument for literally any other player that all of you who have moved your vote wouldn't have followed anyway. Albatross
  16. I'm amused and sadened that no one seems to care that you want to create a discussion about finding my buddies, and they're all, for the most part, disengaging and playing follow the leader... Ostrich
