  1. Adolin had attacked Klade and made accusations with little to no evidence supporting them. But that wasn't enough to kill him over.
  2. Klade spoke up. "Last night, I was attacked. Thanks to protection from some of the other guests, I was not harmed. However," he continued, "I did spot the face of the attacker." He turned and glared at @SE_Adolin_Kholin. "Adolin, why did you attack me?"
  3. I'm sort of active right now. I agree with Navani's suspicion of Tearim. I was, apparently, attacked last night.
  4. Klade looked around. Where had the woman with the time fabrial run off to? In the confusion following the recent deaths, he'd lost her. He hoped that she would return the fabrial: he suspected that the unmade would not be sped up by it, which would buy them time.
  5. I used the Oathstone to order Szeth and Venli to protect me. While I cannot be certain, I believe Eshonai protected Venli. I know that thus far, no one has vouched for us, but to my knowledge, this is what took place.
  6. I ordered Szeth to team with Venli to protect me. This action was successful, so that means Szeth and Venli are innocent.
  7. Klade walked over to Venli, speaking to the Rhythm of Peace. "Keep calm, Venli. We cannot afford to lose our tempers. We must root out the killers."
  8. Klade stared at the bodies of Restares and Renarin. The death of Renarin was truly unfortunate. This would undermine the treaty further. The nephew of the king dead? This truly was terrible.
  9. Klade frowned as time seemed to lurch forward and stop repeatedly. Someone had obviously found the fabrial. He walked around the room, looking for the person who was fiddling with the fabrial. Finally he found the person who had messed with the fabrial. "Brightness, please return that fabrial to its creators so time can progress at its natural pace." He took a closer look at the woman who held it. He didn't know who she was, oddly enough.
  10. Klade stared at all of the people at the party. Though Ialai had killed Sadeas, it was known that she didn't attempt to kill the others. Klade just didn't know who needed to go. "I shall abstain from this round unless further evidence comes to light."
  11. Klade walked over to Wit. "Hello. Let's hope you can find some more victims to mock mercilessly."
  12. "The hospitality is excellent, Brightlord. There have been several foods that the Parshendi have never had." Internally, Klade didn't much like this man. He seemed... disturbing.
  13. Klade stared at Sadeas and Jasnah, humming to the Rhythm of Curiosity. The two humans were speaking in rhythm to Irritation. Eshonai had told them that the humans might be able to hear the rhythms, but here was proof. "Greetings, Brightlord. Are you enjoying yourself?" Keeping the party calm was a high priority, and an argument would not be best.
  14. Klade glanced over at the guests. Wait... Was Jasnah just attacked? He attuned the Rhythm of Curiosity subconsciously, but forced himself to attune Peace instead. No point in getting riled up over an averted crisis. He walked over to Jasnah. "Are you alright, Brightness?"
  15. Klade looked about, staring at the party guests. Was this merely for personal gain, or was it to disrupt the treaty between the Parshendi and the humans? Fortunately, Jasnah seemed to be interested in them. He walked over to her and said, "Greetings, Brightness. I hope you are well."
  16. Klade felt a strange sensation, like he had been taken from a river and dropped in one that moved slower. Glancing around the room, he spotted a servant girl staring at something on the floor. A body! He rushed over. "Are you alright?" he asked the girl.
  17. Klade stared at the new ruckus. There obviously had been some fabrial that could attract alcohol, though how they would work was a question of interest. Alcoholspren were only rumors. He walked over to the cause of the shattered glass all over. "Hello Wit. The Alethi nobility might actually hire someone to assassinate you now."
  18. Klade frowned, humming to the Rhythm of Irritation. This hour was going to stretched out further. The sooner the party got over with, the better for the treaty. A longer party meant more chances for things to go wrong.
  19. Klade smiled at Aesudan's joke. He hadn't known that she had possessed such a sense of humor. Walking over to Wit, he said, "Hello, Wit. Good to see you."
  20. Klade started humming to the Rhythm of Curiosity as he stared at the paper in Adolin's hand. He had always pitied the poor slaveforms, but having the parshmen, as the Alethi called them, sing to Parshendi songs? The parshmen couldn't hear the rhythms. How could they sing the songs?
  21. Klade sighed. Liss seemed to be a detriment to the feast, causing suspicion to flare. She would have to be removed if all was to go smoothly.
  22. Klade glanced around at the chull mess. The food seemed to have been contaminated by chull droppings. No real harm done, though it would be amusing to see the nobility eat the stuff. Wit seemed to be going over to the Kholins, Venli was talking with Jasnah, and others seemed to be gossiping about the ostracized Kholin. He might as well check in with Venli and see what she was doing.
  23. "Well, now she is more mad at you. Maybe you can make her reach a level of anger where her head will explode."
