  1. Well, if a Shard didn't feel inclined to Invest in someone, it makes sense to me that they would choose to Invest in Yolen. It takes the longest to create, and it gives them the most bang for their buck since it had all Roles available to it.
  2. Klade turned to the brightlady. "Sorry, I was referring to my fellow Parshendi. Sorry for the confusion."
  3. Klade started turning away from Jasnah, then paused. "Brightness," he began, "I believe that some of my fellow men were involved in the attacks earlier tonight, although I am not certain." Klade attuned the rhythm of Supplication. "They are dead now, but I thought it might help you to know." He stepped away.
  4. Klade turned towards the shadowy spren at Jasnah's side. "Remember all that messing with time earlier? Because of the fabrial?" He turned to look at the area again. "Someone took it. And they seem to be nearby." The sphere hit the ground at last. Klade bent over to pick it up.
  5. Klade looked back at the warped zone. "I think I saw one of the visiting brightlords pick it up, but that was a while ago. Before all this craziness happened." Some commotion went on behind him. He glanced backwards. Apparently a couple of guests who had been thrown out had made their way back in. He turned back to Jasnah. "Do you think we should go look for it?"
  6. The sphere slowed as it entered the field. Klade looked up at Jasnah, attuning the rhythm of Apprehension.
  7. "This spot- it's almost like-" Klade pulled one of the Alethi spheres and dropped it into the area.
  8. Klade attuned the Rhythm of Anxiety. If there was ever to be peace between their peoples...
  9. Klade looked up as one of the women spoke to him. "Certainly, brightness," he responded, attuning the rhythm of Apprehension.
  10. Klade snapped out of his reverie. Nothing seemed to have happened, thankfully.
  11. It had been Eshonai, he recalled. She had discovered them while on one of her explorations.
  12. As he thought, he remembered the first contact they had had with the humans.
  13. Klade himself had felt loss this evening. He was truly sorry for the death of Eshonai. Still, he hoped that there was hope left yet for friendship between their species.
  14. The poor boy had, after all, lost most of his family in a single night. It was easy to see how he could blame that on the instigators of the party- namely, the Parshendi.
