Because the entire point of counter trains is to give elims an excuse to save their teammate. I think Vulture is the elim among the original three (you, Cham, Vulture) mostly because all of the active players I don't v!lean refuse to join me on Vulture. So I created a new option. Exeing Cham today gets us nowhere and continues to alienate / frustrate their slot, which as a Villager who's been repeatedly and unnecessarily paranoid voted in the past, I greatly empathize with
-
The issue, I feel, is that Heron and Cham are both V. Some people feel that Vulture is V, so whatever, there is no appetite for it so I proposed a third option that I know Zebra has been keen on voting for a while (and isn't now, for some reason). If Cham is truly the Thug that Mouse told me about, then I don't see any reason to exe them before we exe the other Thug that's already lost their life. IMO wagons should be between Heron and Kanga rn

Eh. I guess I'm fine with a Heron exe. If they flip red that will clear half of my concerns, although my instincts really don't think it's a hit. As such I am going to leave my vote as is and deal with the repercussions, should egg land on my face. @Opal Lion I'll get to you on Albatross later. Mine is a weak town lean (given the fact that it's several turns old and I can't remember the reasoning, but PMs might have been a factor). I've been meaning to revisit their slot so it works out. Please hold me to it if you can, unlike how I failed to remind @Sage Kangaroo that it's been far beyond 12 hours. Might be open to a Kangaroo flash wagon ig. Did they post that 12 hour thing after the Chameleon Seeker RT? If so am wondering if that came from a confused elim PoV Just went and answered my own question. It was after Cham claimed Falcon got scanned C1

Completely fair o7 I think you were a v!lean I forgot, so not too worried about your slot. I'm just not seeing e!Heron logic, but it's possible I have missed it or my brain dumped it. I think the self-voting should make their slot identity evident, but I guess my player read of them could be mistaken

Here's my thing with Vulture. They were shot by an unknown party. Zebra is vouching the shooter is V. Okay sure, I don't know how to read Zebra atm so I'll play along. If the kill indeed came from a Village Mistborn then it's worth finishing the job for information. If Vulture is red, then great. If Vulture is green, we have a confirmed Green Thug on top of Cham's claim, which might suggest an e!Mistborn for extra inconsistent kill power. Either way this exe will help me personally resolve Zebra's slot and the shooter, or at least is a tangible way to advance my reads. That and Mouse and I have been trying to make sense of Vulture since C1. I'd like to move on rather than be constantly debating each day
-
If my reaction was indecisive it was because Mouse told me about a potential fake green scan gambit. & to be extra clear, he also told me about a Thug claim he didn't fully trust. He didn't share the specifics of either but a man can put 2+2 together. I would love to know who shot Vulture in PMs if the relevant shooter is cool with it, because I don't know if I'll be able to mentally resolve Vulture and Cham's slots until I understand the reason why the former was nearly killed. While I'm not usually one to role exe or very good at distro analysis, two village Thugs seems a bit odd to me atm.

FTR I am fairly okay with a Chameleon exe (at least pending a response from the PR proxy I am in contact with), but I do instinctually feel Vulture needs to be handled ASAP. Mouse and I have also been back and forth on their slot for at least a full cycle trying to make sense of them. Surviving that CS shot doesn't instill much confidence.

An elim also wouldn't vote their previously unpressured ally there imo (let alone fixate on them), so it wasn't a consideration. But yeah I have no idea what to make of Iguana myself (despite being a pseudo-chaos player, I have lots of difficulty forming confident reads on chaos players), so I do get Heron's constant heckling of the slot.

Vulture Scorpion Penguin Swan Tuatara Weasel Albatross Crocodile Dingo Heron Flamingo Lion Beagle Chameleon Rhinoceros Zebra Iguana Kangaroo Meerkat Elephant Wait I thought we started with 22 players, not 25 lol. I was about to start working on a read pyramid but oof. Too lazy for all that right now. VREADS: Heron, Lion, Albatross, Swan, Penguin, Meerkat, Beagle, Italics are based on gut / vague memories, have not revisited them recently enough to confidently say. Underlined are the higher priorities for me to figure out rn. Normies are all whomegaluls (Tuatara, Weasel, Crocodile, Dingo, Elephant). I'm tired and will slep now tho Oh and Vulture

Sure. Part of it originated when Mouse and I began exploring a v!Meerkat world. We ended up looking at Heron and I posited that e!Heron would have no need to join a train on a 3rd Villager (Iguana). (Also, if in an e!Meerkat world, I believe they would be more likely to bus rather than risk tying their alignments). If you look at the chain of events: I find this progression very natural and would expect an elim in a similar position to not make noise and get involved when there are two perfectly ripe ML's practically guaranteed. Or, if they did, I would expect it to be more reserved, or stilted, or inquisitive. Not to mention the fact that Heron's been on Iguana's case since nearly ~24 hours before that, as evidenced by this the following reads list, which I find both genuine and thorough. Additionally, here are some more posts that reflect their interest in solving, whether it be via pointed questions at other slots or spewing any thought that seems to surface: It was their approach to N2 that clinched it for me personally. I feel that most elims play nights more passively. Perhaps they might attempt to push certain narratives based on the flip, but rather Heron is put on the defense from two fronts (Zebra and Beagle) and rather than fold, they reply confidently, continue to press Quartz, engage Iguana (who they are consistently suspicious of), and even follow up on Chameleon's reply to a Beagle question: Overall this slot just seems overtly towny to me. Ironically enough, for many of the same reasons I'm v!reading you, Lion.
