Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Fuchsia Ostrich replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Jasnah decided it was time to speak up again. "It's been an hour since my father was murdered and about 3 hours since the attempt on my own life. It's time we get to the bottom of this. Many people have been investigating my father's assassination. If anyone has any new relevant information regarding his death, please speak to me directly" The palace guard had not done their job. And they were doing a bad job at finding the culprit too. I had better have elhokar get a new guard force as his first order of business as new king.- 1062 replies

Except we studied the sphere the same night that Gavilar was killed. Gavilar put in the main action though. We know his action is successful because we learned what it did.- 1062 replies

Well, Let's try going over who's been killed so far, and see if we can determine anything. First, Thaidakar, possibly a Ghostblood. Second, I was attacked (most likely by Restares) and protected (most likely by Drunk Beggar) We can't be certain why I was attacked but the cycle Restares asked if anyone had an item steal action was the same cycle that I was attacked, if my memory serves me correctly. We also know that Restares performed an Item scan. All I had at the time was a bottle of violet wine, which I passed to Adolin Third, Torol Sadeas was killed, by Ialai, who had attacked someone else, but was redirected. Unfortunate. She has said that that completed her win con. fourth Renarin and Restares were both killed. Renarin at one time held the black sphere, which I also held at one time. Restares was done in order to kill an active killer and it was correct. Fifth, Gavilar was killed. He held the black sphere at the time, which is now missing sixth, Szeth was killed, presumably to find dalinar's killer? I just ran out of time, so I'll try to add more info later to this analysis. Possible 12 hours though.- 1062 replies

So I think it might be smart, to reveal who we are planning on scanning. But if we do that, I think it would be best to wait until the last possible minute (depending on when we (or our scanning partners) logs off for the cycle) That way the bad people can't plan too far ahead with their actions. Better just to keep it a secret as long as possible, if you reveal at all.- 1062 replies

I would actually suggest the opposite. I know it is imperative that we scan everyone as soon as possible, but if we state it in thread, whoever has it would know who is on to them. May I suggest discussing who you will scan in your individual docs, and just do what you can to not scan the same person as others? That will keep information safe until after the scans have gone through, keeping everyone safer. I know that this is kindof opposite of the PM/Doc safety Idea, but I think that that idea doesn't apply in this case.- 1062 replies

"I understand why you may want to leave it as it is, Liss. For what ever is left untouched, should not be able to change. However, this sphere is different. There are many people here this evening who would like to get ahold of it and release this demon. They believe that a desolation of that type is exactly what would be needed in order to allow Roshar to progress again. I believe that I know of a way to destroy it, purely theoretical, therefore, if you have information about the sphere, please either contact Navani or me, because we, and some of our close friends have a plan set in place to destroy it." Jasnah said. After pausing a moment to get a drink, she continued. "Whoever killed Gavilar now has all of the objects he has, so it is imperative that we locate who that was, and get that sphere."- 1062 replies

If that's the deal, then we need two people who are willing to give up any other actions this turn for the good of the group. Unfortunately I cannot, I've made other promises to fulfill certain actions. Anyone else able to do so?- 1062 replies

Meridas, perhaps there are other ways to avenge someone who has wronged you. I believe some people have actions that can damage other's actions or take things from them. Perhaps it would be good looking into other ways to hurt people.- 1062 replies

Apparently putting a stop to my attempted murderer is not very honorable, but responding by putting a stop to the person that put a stop to someone else's plans must have been honorable. That means whatever restares was doing must have been honorable? What was Restares up to? Because I surely don't think it was honorable. Does anyone know Restares' reasons for attacking me?- 1062 replies

More importantly, Amaram, (Probable vote coming later) How would you have killed a Spren? Aren't they more like forces? Can a shardblade kill a spren? Even so, I believe that at this time, you still don't have a Shardblade, and would therefore have to borrow one from one of the ones the king uses to lend out for duels.- 1062 replies

Heading to the outskirts of the grand hall, Jasnah found a door to the room where the worldsingers were supposed to be. Upon entering she found one man. "You are the worldsinger my father hired, correct? Where are the others?" The worldsinger responded "They all left after they heard that there had been multiple murders. None of them thought it was worth the risk of being killed. Honestly, I was just finishing packing, then I was also going to leave too" "I understand your fear, worldsinger. But fear not, you are under the direct supervision of the king's daughter, and I will be certain nothing happens to you" "Weren't you recently attacked?" the worldsinger responded. "I was." Jasnah conceded. "However, my attacker has been located and dealt with. I am certain that I can offer you protection from any threats until you are on the stage, at which time no one would dare attack you, because you will be in front of everyone. I know that normally we allow the worldsinger to choose the story to tell, but I believe that the story of Fleet may be able to bring a positive message to those here tonight." "I know the story of fleet," The worldsinger responded "The man who raced a highstorm." Then he paused for a moment before continuing. "I know the story, but my mentor knows it much better, and is able to tell it with much better flare. I think I saw the man running around somewhere. He tends to get himself into places, but I do not think many know that he was once a worldsinger, as it has been many years since he left that life. I will tell the story. But If I find my mentor, I will have him tell the story instead." Jasnah thought about the worldsinger's words for a second, then agreed. "I will agree to that. What is your name Worldsinger, so we can introduce you to my father, King Gavilar?" The worldsinger didn't respond immediately, then finally, said "Call me LizgiS"- 1062 replies

Adolin was ostracized, but has since returned. Liss was ostracized. Thaidakar was killed. None of us seem to know much about that. I was attacked, but protected. We're not sure exactly why but a few different reasons have been suggested to me through PM. Ialai accidentally killed Torol, due to a redirect. Then we've pretty much caught up to this cycle, where we ostracized a foreign diplomat, someone killed Renarin, and someone killed Restares.- 1062 replies

This may change, but for now, restares. Darkness said that he couldn't find evidence, however, I believe restares is responsible for at least one of the attacks.- 1062 replies

"I do not fear death, Torol. Death is a natural process of life" Jasnah retorted. "I will graciously accept that path when it presents itsself to me. However, I like you, would like to prolong my experience in this life as much as possible. Because the knowledge I acquire may end up shaping all of Roshar one day, and I'd like to live long enough to see that happen." Jasnah, feeling slightly offended by Sadeas's remark regarding her recent denunciation of Organized Vorinism, turned away, but remained in the same group as Sadeas, giving him a chance to respond if he felt so inclined.- 1062 replies
