Torl is getting anxious, and refuses to tell me why. The neatly organized rings have started to crystallize and form a new shape, a kite shield of tiny loops, packed in so densely that I can't see through one side to the other. Is this in preparation for a Highstorm? The Everstorm, which circles around the world every nine days? Or is this new defensive posture designed to ward off threats of the living variety? Whatever the answer may be, I'll be glad to have some protection for the days to come. Elim!Iguana would probably not know about vote manipulation, because vote manipulation easily could have been used to prevent an elim lynch even if both Zebra and Toucan are evil. Iguana/Albatross/Zebra makes no sense, because Albatross would be able to stop Zebra and/or Toucan from being lynched. Unless anyone counterclaims Albatross, the Bondsmith removed Gorilla's vote, which accomplishes nothing in protecting elims since Penguin was village, so I'm assuming the elims did not use either vote manipulation. That does mean that I don't believe Albatross to be evil, and Iguana is presumably only evil with Toucan, and even then it's far from definite. There's no particular reason a villager wouldn't decide to break a tied lynch, so I don't think it's worthwhile to lynch Toucan just because of the link to Iguana. Falcon and Lion both started out by speculating on role distribution. I can see where the conclusion that Falcon knew about everyone being a Worldhopper came from, but I'm not currently convinced. Opal's guesses fell in line with standard distributions, which could be generated as a village worldhopper assuming they were the only one or an elim knowing something strange was going on. I'm not a particular fan of Lion's stance on Iguana, but I'm more suspicious of Rhino. Thanking a successful vigilante is always an interesting thing to note, though not necessarily alignment indicative. The near certainty that if Toucan is evil then Iguana is as well doesn't seem right. It's certainly more likely that Iguana is evil should Toucan be, but breaking a tied lynch at rollover is not alignment indicative and in any case lynching the tiebreaker should not be the first step. Two elim deaths do give us time for mislynches, but also gives us time to investigate other leads. I'm going to vote Plum Rhino for now. Albatross(3): Crocodile, Axolotl, Swan Lion(2): Falcon, Gecko Toucan(2): Iguana, AlbatrossIguana(2): Scorpion, RhinoFalcon(1): Octopus Rhino(1): Vulture

Successfully lynching an elim draws immediate attention that wouldn't have been generated otherwise. I can't say for sure what the odds of being scanned are between nondescript and sensational, and although we had a releaser target the former losing a teammate is a pretty steep cost. Thinking the votes were 2-2, it's reasonable to guarantee the lynch of one elim. Since votes were moved off of Toucan, they wouldn't have died even if Iguana voted for Toucan. It's entirely possible that Zebra would have survived had Iguana cast any other vote or kept the vote on Albatross. 50% odds aren't the greatest either, but it's a lot better than the guaranteeing an elim death.

All the new recruits are worldhoppers then, or at least are familiar with the concept. Excellent. I'll finally be able to drop my illusory visage and conserve my stormlight for more important tasks. Torl still appears as interweaving concentric rings even though the need for that deception has passed. We'll see if that's simply a favored form or if that pattern is the only possible physical manifestation. Bussing teammates early on for trust makes a lot less sense when alignment can be confirmed relatively easily by the ~2 Skybreaker scans floating around every night. Without dedicated Lightweavers, it would be extremely difficult to protect someone from scans long term. If Toucan was also evil, it would make more sense for Iguana to choose(incorrectly) Toucan over Zebra, but again Toucan's alignment can be checked.

No storm occurred this past day. Perhaps these servants of Odium are throwing off my weather predictions. Once they're gone, the Stormfather might be able to resume his normal patterns. Must gather data to support or challenge this hypothesis. I think we only have one vote manipulator, a willshaper willing to expose their role as it could only be one of Tuatara, Albatross, or Gorilla. The former two would have cancelled their vote to move Gorilla's while the latter would cancel their vote to move either of the first two's. Elim!Willshaper!Albatross easily could have tried to save Zebra by moving Penguin, Chameleon, or possibly Iguana's vote, so that role/alignment combination doesn't make too much sense. Gorilla could have just wanted to remove the self-vote, but I don't know why Tuatara might have done such a thing.

Years of hard work, ruined! Or not ruined, for the framework for how the model had been created is still usable, even if the current model can no longer predict the movement of the Highstorm. I have been sent to Urithiru as part of an investigation of the man who bonded the Stormfather. Surely he could give an explanation for the incorrectly traveling Everstorm and the mysteriously summoned Highstorm that has thrown off all the calculations. Perhaps I will even be able to converse with the Stormfather himself. That would make up for all the difficulties we've endured these past few months. I do not like being unable to determine when the next storm will strike. There should have been one today, but the sky remains clear here at the top of the world. When the next storm does come, I'll have to investigate. My new friend will be helpful for this endeavor. I still can't believe Torl chose me to be a Radiant.

Mid-Range Game 37/Anonymous Game 6: An Empire is Falling

Mweh. I must go, my people need me! I agree with Coral Swan and Ivory Dragonfly and Mauve Crocodile. Blackout rules and suspiciously-phrased wincons look to me like there might be third factions or more or maybe sstretching it a bit to say 'third faction' maybe its just a lone wolf with a separate special wincon Coral Swan, Black Swan we know what the known unknowns are but what about the unknown unknowns I like my picture I am pretty birb- 188 replies

Quick Fix Game 36/Anonymous Game 5: Dream Thieves
Amber Vulture replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Perry sighed with relief at his choice of a husk to occupy. This one could run. Fast. Like the storming wind. And that was good. Perry blazed through the gathered throng as he caught up with the vehicle tumbling through the streets, musicians playing on its roof as if it were a parade float. At last it was within jumping distance. Charged by adrenaline, Perry took a leap of faith and successfully landed on the BandWagon. Ivory Dragonfly. -
Quick Fix Game 36/Anonymous Game 5: Dream Thieves

Quintus lifted his face out of the book, interrupted by some sounds of fighting. "Whoa there! Stop eating each other! I swear, this is going nuts!" Spirits these days were going crazy. Quintus's husk sighed. Why did he have to pick someone this physically weak, so that he couldn't even break up a fight? There were good things that came out of it though. With a perfectly timed flick of the arm, Quintus snatched a thrown book out of the air. No such thing as too many books. -
My faction is in a similar situation to Joe Cloud - it is technically possible for us to win this cycle but would require either extraordinary luck or a lot of coordination with (preferably) several other factions. We confirmed with Seonid we're not one of the factions that was alluded to in today's writeup. Hidden Garden, by the sounds of things, isn't close to completing their goal either, which leaves the Stewards as the only other candidate.

The Rodent laughed, and ducked back around I had a whole verse prepared - now I'm going to have to change the ending.

Hey. I'm here, just lurking. I'm more active in docs and PM's. I wonder, though, if there's another reason you might want to lynch me - voting on me for 'activity' when it's the last cycle of the game seems fairly redundant. I can also say that the Utility Company is not one of the factions that's due to win this cycle, and it may be better to focus on those factions. Is GlaDoS a cycle away from victory?

Weasel is on Scadrial, but that wouldn't work. Weasel would need to hop to Scadrial (1 action), pick up the Feruchemist Role (2 actions), and use it on themselves, since it's a Night turn action (3 actions). That's more than what even Shards get, so that can't be true. EDIT: Ninja'd by Dragonfly

Hmmm... The Emerald Falcon lynch is going nowhere, and neither is an Axolotl lynch. If I'm correct, the lynch is between Weasel, Albatross, and Weasel. Indigo Weasel. I don't find them the most suspicious, but their death would get us more information than both of the other candidates combined.

I have to say, of all the major candidates, I'm not particularly inclined to lynch any of them. If I had to pick someone, I'd probably choose Axolotl, but that's a fairly weak leaning even for Day 1 (well, 2, but you know what I mean). OK, I've gone back over, and a few people have not yet posted. Amethyst Scorpion - 1 single line post Azure Mouse - 1 single line post Amber Vulture - 1 multi line post (mostly RP) - something I intend to amend from now on. Charcoal Hyena - 2 posts, 1 mostly RP Chartreuse Penguin - Active, mostly through RP. Expressed suspicion of Toucan's neutral claim (which I don't agree with, but I'm not inclined to view as particularly suspicious in isolation.) Coral Swan - Quite active. Expressed suspicion of Toucan, but softened after Joe's clarification, which struck me as genuine. In an ordinary game, I'd have a soft trust read on them - shame this is a faction game. Cream Tuatara - Quite active. I just saw they did exactly the same thing I did (calling out inactives), which means I don't need to look through the rest of the list anymore. It wouldn't make me trust them anymore, but it does make me relieved - I was going to see how I felt about each of the candidates, but in a faction game, I'm less sure about what the point of that is (there's Odium, Autonomy and Ruin, but when I read through the thread the first time, I didn't see anything in particular that seemed like their kind of actions, particularly without knowing their wincons, and I doubt I will over a second reading, either.) So... the people who hadn't posted as of a day ago were Emerald Falcon, Fuchsia Ostrich, Mint Heron, and Pearl Chameleon. All four of those accounts have been logged into since the start of the game. Emerald Falcon and Fuchsia Ostrich have both logged in, but not posted. Mint Heron was about to go on that list, but they posted just this second. @Emerald Falcon, @Fuchsia Ostrich Regarding various things that have been discussed: Toucan claiming neutral - I don't see anything suspicious about this, particularly given Joe's clarification. One of the Shards beginning to Invest Yolen - I'm not surprised this happened, but I'm surprised it happened so soon. This seems more like a late game kind of action, as people mentioned. Either they're preparing early, they're new and chose something fairly randomly, or they just had a free action. Hard to say which, really. Axolotl's analysis - This is probably the most suspicious thing I've seen - they claimed (or at least heavily implied) to have extra information from somewhere, then seemed to back away from that statement and claim otherwise, which strikes me as suspicious. Still, faction game and all - it's most likely something from their faction doc (or me misreading that whole exchange). Weasel being aligned with Odium - I... think this is a stretch - I read it as Weasel just wanting to form contacts and get information for their faction (to be honest, I want to do the same) - if I were Cultivation, I wouldn't reveal myself to Weasel (or anyone else besides my faction at this stage), but I wouldn't be worried about them in particular either. I feel like I've missed something big, but I'm not sure what. I hope to post again today with RP, so whatever I missed I can hopefully respond to then.

Sorry for not posting before now - I've been busy. I'm inclined to trust Toucan - I think he's been jumped on unfairly. Since there's no 'Eliminator' team, as such, when there's a lynch, I'll probably vote for an inactive unless I see something (in Toucan or anyone else) that seems to work against my factions interests. Agent Amber looked around Silverlight. This part of town wasn't familiar to him - that was irritating, but not too much so. Amber knew the drill at this point. Set up contacts. Gather information. Know the pieces on the board before you go interfering. That's the best way to stay alive. He looked around, and made his way into an alley. With high walls and narrow streets, the lights along the street barely seemed to light up the grimy surroundings. Seems he'd found the shadiest part of Silverlight. Still. People here might have... skills that are valuable to me. That's when he noticed the person standing at the centre of the road ahead of him. They didn't seem to be moving. Amber did the math very quickly in his head. If this is what he thought it was, it was entirely possible that there was another thug behind him - possibly two. There weren't any other ways out of the alley. Amber thought for a moment, then walked forward. "Hello, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. It's a fine afternoon for walking, is it not?"
