    With Amaram committing to gambling, how aboit we not ostracize him? Here is what i propose. 1 player protects Ivory, another watches Amaram. If amaram does not gamble, and instead attacks Ivory, we kill him. Otherwise, we let him keep gambling until he eiyher ostracizes gimself, or suceeds.

    I sghed, and downed the rest of my drink. There were times that I regretted following the codes, times I wished I could be too drunk to act, and this was shaping up to be one of them. Too many factions were at play, too many secreys would be revealed before the night was out. It was time to reprioritize. Brother first. I made my way through the room towards Dalinar, who seemed like a new man. Sobered up some how had he? At least sober enough to fight with Wit. "@SE_Dalinar_Kholin, I need you to go to your survivng Son. Help him through this, in any way you can." Behind me, I heard my Son. Accusing Meridas of attempting to kill Ivory. I gritted my teeth, and turned to listen. Ivory himself spoke up, querting whether or not Meridas had been the one to kill Renarin. Before I could interject, Amaram admitted to attacking the spren, and revealed that he was a Son of Honour. I needed a drink. "Elokhar, Ivory, Amaram, please, this party has been disrupted enough, let us not shout for the whole world to see." I approached the group, noting Jasnah looking on with interest. Too many conflicting parties and priorities. I needed all of them. I positioned myself next to Amaram, laying a friendly hand on his shoulder. "I can asssure you that Meridas did not kill my Nephew." I turned, so that only Amaram could see my lips. My hand on his shoulder tightened into a claw. I hissed at hom, "When you came to me, asking for help killing Ivory, i specifically told you not to. I told you, that Restares could be avenged without further death." I let go and stepped back, standing clearly next to my son now. Meridas spoke again, displaying confusion, and asking after Restates innocence in the attack on my daughter. "No Meridas. Restares did attack Jasnah, again against my orders. He needed the Black Sphere that she held, and would not wait for it. I mourn that his death was so wasted, but it was deserved. If he was willing to attack my daughter just to more quickly get what he knew i could kbtain peaceably, then he is not a man i wish to work with."

I have also heard from uncredible sources that you were the one to attack her. Credible sources have told me you have a Shardblade. A lot of things don't add up about you. I followed you earlier, and you took no action to try to find the killer stalking our feast halls. I want to know if you're taking my daughter's attack seriously or not." Also, to avoid unfortunate misunderstandings, i want this to be public knolwedge. I and several helpers will be attacking Drunk Beggar tonight. Someone will be protecting Beggar, so he won't die. Beggar was the one who planned this, and volunteered for it.

    "I would very much appreciate it if no one attacked my family at a feast in their honor." I sighed, and looked around the feast hall. I'd been gone for almost an hour, dealing with an emergency elsewhere in the palace that had no bearing on the current feast hall, and was now terribly behind on current events. I needed to find someone to talk to.

    Things start to cool, and then immedietely heat back up. Sometimes i wonder why i turned diplomat instead of Tryrant. "I have spoken at length with many of the parties involved. So please @SE_Ialai_Sadeas, calm yourself. Here is what hapenned as far as I can tell. Adolin believed it was necessary to slay the @SE_Drunk_Beggar, but after a private conversation with him, realized it was unnecessary." I looked to both my nephew and the beggar for confirmation. "Later, after witnessing his father drinking, the Lad grew angry and expressed an interest in permantely stopping his father's shamful drinking. It was an argument made in Anger, and @SE_Wit talked him down." I looked to Wit to.confirm this as well. "Finally, @SE_Liss lied to Adolin and Wit, telling them that Aesudan had attacked Klade. Wut revealed this news to us all after House Sadeas revealed Adolin's previous two indiscretions." "None of these three things are a crime." I look around at all the room. "Is any part of that incorrect? If not, then I believe there is nothing to accuse my nephew of."

    I quickly stepped forward and caught my wife. "Adolin take your Aunt to her rooms to recover. I believe you. Aesudan get out of my palace. The Parshendi are under my protection. Any further attacks against them are an attack against me."

    "I have heard rumours of Aesudan's attempted assassination of Klade as well, but i have not seen any evidence. If you and your friends can bring such evidence to bear, it would go a long way in preventing you from being removed."

    I didn't know what had happened to the Statue of Shalash. It had been there that morning when Navani and I had checked the preparations in the hall, but now it was gone. One of the foreign Dignataries, Nale, was standing in front of its absence. I couldn't see his face, but he looked tense. I excused myself from my other conversations and went to join him. "Simply Tragic isn't it? My servants alerted me to it's theft a few hours ago. I don't know why it was stolen, or by whom, and it happened to close to the feast to get it replaced."

    I stand next to Meridas, comfortable in silence. The feast goes well, so no need to intervene.

    This already is not how I expected this feast to go. Tempers always flare, but usually it was later in the evening. And not between House Sadeas and House Kholin. I needed to interefere. But first, I sent a master servant to fetch Wit "Ialai, Navani, might I ask just what has caused you two to be so snappish with eachother? You've worked side by side for the past decade and never snapped at eachother like this. And Sadeas, heretic or not, I ask you not to disparage my Daughter. Her choice is hers to make, and I will not allow it to overshadow the peace celebrations. Especially not when there is so much om the line. The other Alethi look to the four of us on how to behave, so let's show them how to behave civilly please." I see out of the corner of my eye that Wit has arrived. Good. "Ah, Wit. I hope you have more material prepared, because these three have not been keeping their Wiy about them. You have my permission and my order to follow them, and if they insult one another, or my daughter i want you to insult them back threefold. Loudly. Now then, I need to go speak with my Daughter." I turn and leave the four of them before they can offer any objection.

    I'll be having this conversation tens of tens of times tonight. But at least the first one will be with a friend. "Officially, I recognize Jasnah's right to make such a descion, especially as she has made it out of knowledge and study, rather than out of spite, or to get attention as some have claimed. I encourage her to recant and return to the church, but still love her just as much as before." I leaned in closer to Meridas, that none other might overhear. "Unofficially, I'm very annoyed. My daughter is shrewedly intelligent though, and disproves any argument I try to bring to bear against her. I just hope Elokhar and her cousins understand that what she says is Blasphemy."
