  1. But if we lynch one and they're telling the truth, we're done. Either way, it's a big risk. So we have to decide what risk we want to take.
  2. Exactly, because if they're not lying and we lynch one of them, village loses. That's why I've been fairly positive about the claim because it gives us an edge. It's also why I'm not switching my vote off Scorpion until I can hear from Mouse or Croc.
  3. I just try to have a positive outlook on things. However, Dingo brings up a good point. That is a bit... odd, to say the least. I'm going to hold off on changing my vote, though, until I can hear from Mauve and Azure on the whole thing. Maybe Mauve can explain a bit more about what happened there.
  4. It actually makes mild sense to me. As I mentioned earlier, if the claim is true, it narrows down the possible eliminators to four people for anyone who is themselves village. This cycle is the perfect time to claim, because it would take three cycles for the eliminators to kill each of the now-confirmed villagers, also making them choose between killing them and trying to find the last informant. This move gave village the best chance at winning we've had so far. EDIT: As for the Falcon thing, even the EIB Agents, wouldn't know all the game mechanics. There easily could have been another faction they didn't know about. And Falcon was being just sketchy enough about it that it was difficult to tell.
  5. Both of them have tended to be on closer to the end of cycle, so it might be a few hours.
  6. That is concerning, as I have seen no evidence that anyone has been swapped. But I do have my suspect list narrowed down: Amethyst Scorpion Indigo Weasel Coral Swan Here's why: If Tuatara's claim is correct, Mauve Crocodile, Azure Mouse and Cream Tuatara are all cleared. I know I'm cleared, and Melon Dingo's effort to at least attempt to prove his village gives him a light-clear in my eyes. That leaves me with the list above. I'm keeping my vote on Scorpion, as if there are only two elim team members, I believe he'd still be on that list. Current vote count: Amethyst Scorpion (3) - Amber Vulture, Indigo Weasel, Melon Dingo Azure Mouse (1) - Azure Mouse Coral Swan (1) - Cream Tuatara Indigo Weasel (1) - Mauve Crocodile
  7. I'm not disregarding them taking the vote off, but I mostly attributed that to Ivory not liking the lynch on Penguin, so they joined one that was a viable counterlynch. Also, if Tuatara's statement that the scan would have killed an elim is correct, then they're cleared. I'd like Azure or Mauve to confirm. The claim doesn't just help elims, it greatly helps village. With those three cleared, we have a better chance at getting an elim with our lynch. For those of us who are village, it leaves four people to choose from, three of which are likely elim. The claim was a smart move, because it gives us confirmed villagers for at least a couple of cycles. Elims can't kill all of them right away.
  8. Good point. It is unfair of me to offer so little evidence beyond just a gut read. Melon Dingo. We are awfully close to LyLo. 8 of us left, presumably 5 village, 3 elim. If we lynch a villager today we'll be down to 3 village, 3 elim. If the elims still have vote manipulation, village loses by next round. If Ivory was right in their "sudden death" theory, and I'm right in assuming there's only one Fleeing Informant left, this very easily could be the last round. Elims have a one in five chance of killing the last informant, as we have a one in five chance of lynching them. As for the lynch target, I think I will go with Amethyst Scorpion based on the evidence provided by Ivory last cycle, and the fact they were killed after having voted on Scorpion originally.
  9. As promised, a review of Ivory's posts from last cycle to see if there was something they may have said to incite the elim team's wrath. C4 (sounds explodey ) States we should take Falcon's "speculations" on the informant role seriously; worried about sudden death win-con; lists top suspects as: Azure Mouse Chartreuse Penguin Cream Tuatara Mauve Crocodile Melon Dingo Second posts puts Azure Mouse, Amethyst Scorpion, and Cream Tuatara as a possible elim team. Votes on Scorpion. Gets into discussion with Scorpion and Tuatara. Votes on Tuatara to counter the lynch against Penguin. I suspect there is at least one eliminator among those she named. I'm leaving my vote on Dingo for now, with the hopes more may show up and offer their opinions. However, I'm likely to switch it to Tuatara if the voting comes down to them and someone else I feel is village. Also, due to the scarcity of other people's posts, I feel like I'm posting entirely too much. Someone else say something! RP some more.... don't let me talk to myself. It gets weird.
  10. --RP-- When Liseran returned from finding Bailey's body, she found her secluded corner once again. Not to practice, but to calm her nerves. And hopefully avoid retching. Death was never a pleasant sight. In all of her work, she tried to leave people alive. While that wasn't always an option, it made her feel better about what she did. At least only the people who deserved it would die. Usually. Her instincts had steered her wrong this time, and she'd helped kill an innocent. Now, more innocents were dying because she couldn't do more. "Who? Who is doing this?" Liseran thought to herself as she leaned back against the cool metal wall. "With so few of us left, can I really trust anyone?" ---- Alright, I'm going back to my vote from yesterday. Dingo has felt off to me all game.
  11. Another vote manipulation. That's not a good sign. There are two (three?) possible reasons for the extra vote on Penguin: Tuatara is an elim, and they were attempting to save their member by throwing down a vote on the other one up for lynch The eliminators want to make it seem like the above was taking place, solidifying a lynch on them for today. ? As possible with the vote on Falcon, it could be inherent vote weight. (After a review of this option, the only two people who voted on both Falcon and Penguin were Mouse and Croc. Both of them voted C1 on Albatross with no extra vote in the count, so this isn't really a valid option). The options, however, present one of the classic IKYK situations. I will be looking a little closer at Tuatara, but for now, I'm thinking 2 is the more likely option. Throwing down vote manipulation to save a team member when you haven't lost anyone yet is a risky move. It will cause pretty much everyone to think they are suspicious the next cycle. But it's a really good way to get another villager lynched. Also, regarding the Ivory kill, my guess is they were getting close to the truth on something. I'll be reviewing their posts this cycle, too, to see what they've shared. The previous two lynches were placed on people making little to no contribution. Kills that don't give us a lot of clues. This one, however, was on one of the more active players left making analysis.
  12. Alright, we're 3 hours from the end of cycle, with the vote count as follows: Melon Dingo (1) - Amber Vultuer Cream Tuatara (3) - Amethyst Scorpion, Indigo Weasel, Ivory Dragonfly Chartreuse Penguin (3) - Azure Mouse, Cream Tuatara, Melon Dingo Amethyst Scorpion (1) - Chartreuse Penguin Indigo Weasel (1) - Coral Swan The only one who has not cast a vote this cycle is @Mauve Crocodile. Would you like to weigh in? Partially because I'm curious to see what happens if there's a tie, and partially because I'm curious to see which way vote manipulation swings (if it can be used again), I'm going to leave my vote where it is.
  13. --RP-- Vacuous arguments were about the only noise in the ship, still slowly but surely making its way to the Scadrial orbit. Liseran found a quiet and secluded corner to practice away from prying eyes. She sat on the hard metal floor, facing pipes that ran from floor to ceiling. Valves jutted out from a few of them. They were emergency cut-offs for different gasses and liquids being sent to and from all the chambers of the ship. She would need to avoid those ones, if she could. Virtually any chances to practice on this metal trap had been overcome with other needs and questions. Liseran took a deep breath and closed her eyes. It had been a while since she had practiced, so she would need to focus, meditate first. She felt at the soft cloth around her arms, and imagined being back home, learning for the first time. Verdant fields spread out before her, sprinkled with spots of the brightly colored wild flowers. He stood beside her, a sweet smile on his lips as he demonstrated how to properly instruct the cloth. His hand brushed hers as he showed her how motion could carry a command. Liseran's eyes shot open again. Violent anger rose inside her as she thought of him. No, those thoughts would not help her focus. She closed her eyes again and brought her mind to more pleasant thoughts. Ones that didn't involve him. Very quietly, she stood again and tugged once at the end of the cloth on her right hand. She felt it loosen, just slightly. With a flash of movement, she threw the cloth at a pipe, keeping hold of one end. She had sent with it an order to grab, nothing else. The cloth hit... and fell limply to the ground. Vain hopes crashed down inside her. It really had been too long. But she would not give up. She would need to get it to work if she wanted to defeat him. Liseran spent what felt like hours throwing the cloth at the pipe until finally... Victorious.
  14. Current vote count: Chartreuse Penguin (3) - Azure Mouse, Cream Tuatara, Melon Dingo Indigo Weasel (1) - Coral Swan Cream Tuatara (1) - Indigo Weasel Melon Dingo (1) - Amber Vulture Amethyst Scorpion (1) - Ivory Dragonfly ---- I'm not quite sure what I did to annoy Swan so much, but *shrug*, oh well. I figured if I would at least get as much information out of a mislynch as possible, even if I was wrong in the first place. Hindsight is 20/20, and Vultures aren't known for great eyesight until after things are dead I'll probably edit an RP in later, but I have to think about what to say next. I'm kind of stuck, atm.
  15. I went back to break down Falcon's posts because he did offer some speculation to the mechanics of the game. A good portion of that was centered around the informants. See spoiler tag for full breakdown: TL;DR In his first post yesterday, Falcon suggested there were two village factions. Knowing now he was a Fleeing Informant, this tells me it is truly a faction within the village with possible access to a doc. He believed the eliminators were made up of a black-ops group trying to kill informants who knew too much. This could be that Sudden Death win-con Ivory has suggested. It is possible the Fleeing Informants know a little bit about who they're running from, or at least that they are the main target of the eliminators. Based on the "knew too much" suggestion, I get the feeling the Informants have scanning abilities. After a few votes, he admitted to not being a refugee but says there wouldn't be a reason for him to post those speculations if he were elim. He then said Dingo would be a better lynch target. Another thing that gives me pause is when he replied to Penguin saying "What I would do in your place." I'm thinking this may have been another clue as to an elim target. Was he saying if he were an elim, he'd vote on him because of the role? I know this might be a bit of a stretch, but Penguin was the only one he responded to in this direct way. His last post said there were two informants. I'm inclined to believe his 'speculation' on that number, which suggests to me there is only one left. If there is a sudden death mechanic, we are in a lot of trouble. That's all from his posts, so on to other things. Falcon did respond to me directly relating this, and said it was an or, not an and, which at the time didn't really answer any questions. I think I'm going to go with Falcon's suggestion that Dingo is the better lynch target. I've had a bad gut read on them from the beginning. I'll go back before this cycle is over to peg it down to why, but for now, I'll just leave it with the vote and trust in Falcon's posts.
  16. Amethyst, that actually makes some sense. I was wondering why Falcon never even voted. He would have been close to saving himself if he'd voted for me, and Azure and I both said we'd remove our votes if he gave us a better explanation (even if that ended with my death). It could be that account had been taken, and the "Kandra" had intentionally caused Falcon to fall under suspicion. Or it could be he was okay with dying for RL reasons. It just all felt so odd. I'll try to do an analysis of his posts later when I'm not on mobile.
  17. Now that I think about it, having a third faction is not very likely in a game with so few players. That would make vote manipulation less unbalanced. If that were the case, and we have a 3-member elim team, we are down to 7 village members. Also, Azure, who was it that asked you how good you are at counting?
  18. If that's the case, there is definitely vote manipulation. There's one extra count on Emerald that isn't accounted for in the names. I'm not sure why they'd use it, unless it's an inherent 2-vote weight whenever they cast a vote. Emerald had a pretty good lead all cycle.
  19. Based on what his last post, it sounds like Fleeing Informant may be a two-man sub-faction in the village. Which probably means there are none left. Unless the Fleeing Informant is the Kandra role. And falcon is still alive in a different account. What if Falcon on C2 was Hyena C1... We don't know how that mechanic works, and it's possible that they submit a name at the beginning of the cycle of someone they'd take over if they were to die. The original post said something to the order of roles that allow an account swap. What if their role goes with them? I need to get some sleep. I'm starting to get conspiracy theory-ish again.
  20. Nothing regarding my role or really the game. I meant to type "... other, quieter ways", as a reference to the wraps around my character's arms.
  21. I'm with Azure on this one. If we could at least get an answer, it would help. I would probably even take my vote off you if I really felt you were village. Mostly because one mislynch is better than two, and I think I may be not long for this game even if I survive this round. Too many people are still suspicious. However, if you can prove you're at least village-friendly, you save the village a valuable lynch that could instead be used to take down an actual elim. If the eliminators kill you, so be it. As has been said, you could be dead either way. Because you're not answering the questions, it makes me believe more so you're an eliminator, or at least elim-friendly. EDIT: RP, because why not? Understanding people had never been Liseran's forte. She tended to leave that up to him. This hunk of metal is where that had led her. Usually, she relied on him to talk their way out of tough spots. Liseran liked to fight her way out. But his silver tongue had betrayed her. He had promised great things, adventures across the worlds. He had given her just a taste of that life, then abandoned her on a colorless rock. She wanted to hear from his lips why before she killed him. Unconsciously, her hand rested on the holster of the gun hidden at her waistline. While it's frame was small, its bullets packed a punch. She hadn't had cause to use it lately, but had been impressed when she acquired it. Until she made it back on solid ground, she likely wouldn't use it again. It was too loud for such close confines. Besides, she had other ways of taking down threats. She just hoped she would have the chance, in order to help the other poor refugees stuck on this forsaken ship.
  22. I wouldn't say I voted on Tuatara for no reason. I felt at the time that Magenta was truly a villager, and I was trying to help them. As I had made clear through the whole cycle, I felt one of our options if we couldn't find someone actually suspicious, would be to go after someone who was not as active. Tuatara fit that description. Also, most of the arguments that started the lynch on Magenta were for voting on someone without reason, the same thing that Tuatara did. I felt that if the arguments against them were the same, I'd rather go after the less active one. The other arguments presented against Magenta just didn't feel right to me. They had been targeted for an unknown reason for placing a vote on Ivory. Not the first vote, and not the last. I still don't see how others saw them as elim. I wasn't trying to pocket someone. I was trying to help someone I truly (and apparently rightly) thought was village. It was a gamble, but I wasn't going to just sit by and do nothing while I thought a teammate was going to get lynched for no good reason.
  23. Current vote count: Amber Vulture (3) - Coral Swan, Indigo Weasel, Melon Dingo Emerald Falcon (5) - Amber Vulture, Amethyst Scorpion, Chartreuse Penguin, Fuchsia Ostrich, Ivory Dragonfly Four people who have not placed votes: Azure Mouse, Cream Tuatara, Emerald Falcon, Mauve Crocodile ----- Time. She needed more time. Liseran had returned to pacing in the small ship. More people were shooting glances her way, suspicion clear in their faces. They did not trust her, which wasn't uncommon. She had learned quickly in her years of traveling that few people were willing to trust someone they didn't know, and more quickly to be outright hostile to those who appeared different. Liseran had never really fit in, even in her own world. The fabric around her arms were a constant reminder of that. Not many from her homeland were willing to do what she did, and most looked at her as if she were committing a great sin. Liseran shook her head, clearing away those thoughts. She left that place for a reason. There was no need to dwell on it now. She needed to stay focused. Traveling across worlds had brought her so close to her goal. She had to find him. She had to know if he was alive. Scadrial was her last hope. Liseran only hoped she could live long enough to see him one more time. To drive a dagger into his heart.
  24. As a counter, we don't know he's not elim. He has said he's not neutral, not a refugee, but has a role that either the village or elim team would want dead. Not both, but one. So that leads me to think he very well may be an eliminator who was called out for using the wrong wording and hasn't been able to get out yet. However, Azure has a point. There could be another faction with a separate win-con without specific information about the alignment of their enemy. I'm still inclined to follow Ivory's logic:
