  1. YES PLEASE. That is exactly the kind of relationship I want for them: platonic, deeper than political, harbored on respect, and the understanding that differing opinions do not affect that respect. If they become friends like that.. I'll melt into a puddle of precognitive bliss.
  2. Right. Literally agree with everything you said. I see a lot of people on this thread may have misread my post. I never intended them to start a romance. In fact, I would REALLY not enjoy that. Jasnah, as many have mentioned, feels pretty off the market as far as romance goes, and besides that, I could never see Kaladin or Jasnah settling for the other. I only meant that I feel like they will come to respect each other in the future. I think Jasnah already values Kaladin because he's not an idiot, and he's genuine (things she's probably hard-pressed to find from people of import).
  3. Noo I remember something like that too, just don't know where. Wish I did so I could reread it. Makes me wonder, though, was it just some Mandela Effect imagining.
  4. Not romantically. But she's been bossing him around in that friendly way of hers. And they'd make a pretty awesome BROTP.
  5. OH MY GAWD. YES. Jasnah therapist and Shallan messed-up patient. New headcanon.
  6. @ElephantEarwax My life is yours, my breath become yours. Oathbringer is great! (I'm still not finished, which is either a good thing or bad thing, don't know which.) I love Jasnah's POVs in these books; they really elaborate on her character, I think! Have you read it yet?
  7. Yeah that's kind of what I was thinking. More than that, I also thought that maybe it's because he's going to do something that will cause damage, and maybe he doesn't want to be close to people when that happens.
  8. @Herman_Bolivia DONT TELL ME. I'm only on page 580
  9. I think she's my favorite character. Used to be Kaladin until I read between the lines for her character. She's so much more emotional than she lets on, and I feel like no one sees it! I don't understand how people say she's cold when she has so much passion for her work! I've... actually done psychoanalysis on her. (PleaseDon'tTellMySocialWorkingMomShe'llBeAshamed). I feel she's the most realistic character, so I was wondering if anyone else shares my ridiculous obsession.
  10. @Calyx that is very true! I totally forgot about her. But that, too, felt unintentional to me, as Wit was obviously surprised in that scene when Shallan gave him a hug (or something). I just get the feeling that Wit is guilty about something, and I was reading his letter thing in the Oathbringer italics before each chapter, and I wonder at what he's talking about and how complex his emotional ties are with people, from Roshar or out.
  11. I have stomach cramps. Maybe not hemallurgic but it definitely come from the hem-allergic department! Ahem. I'm going to go sit in the bathtub and giggle now.
  12. Ah. But the questions keep coming... And the cookie has suddenly awoken my Curiosity's appetite.....
  13. I know his name is Hoid. Brandon revealed that he's Cephandrius. He's a worldhopper, too, isn't he? So what's he doing on Roshar? Does he have a personal score to settle with Odium? He's obviously sympathetic to Dalinar's cause -- I mean, he told Jasnah imperative information, has offered hints and advice (and juicy tidbits, my gosh), but he hasn't said outright what it is he wants. When he and Dalinar had that heart to heart in WoR, and he told Dalinar not to mistake him as a friend, I got the feeling that Wit was avoiding attachment or relationships with people. He's always kept himself a bit apart from everyone else, cutting off conversations or shying away before he can make true connection with someone in an interaction. It's almost like a foreshadow that something bad is going to happen...? Or maybe h's guilty about something? I don't know, but of all Stormlight characters (besides Jasnah), he's fascinated me the most. Thoughts anyone?
  14. I think I'm in love. With Jasnah Kholin. Who unfortunately is the *least* romantically interested character I could've chosen from. Way to go fangeek mind.

  16. @Benjamin_Stormblessed @Nathrangking So I was looking through other people's forums and I have to ask... Is the cookie an initiation right or something?
  17. Just... What? I got so mad when the book ended without telling me about their conversation. And in Oathbringer, the conversation is further mentioned I think. On page 480, Jasnah tells Ivory that they must "reveal the information Wit told us." I just want to know what's happening! (Keep in mind I'm only halfway through Oathbringer, so if this comes up later...don't tell me about it.)
  18. So. We all know how this started. I was a reader, just like any of you. But then I had questions, and Brandon's a secretive little demon, so I had to look ay forums and theories and then I got ideas.... And now I'm here. This is what I like: 1. Greek salad. 2. Eating cake and crying about it. 3. Yelling at books.
