We, as Authors, using the accounts to RP is the same as us using the Avatars to RP. Or at least it should be. "I also agree that would shouldn't complicate things more than we need to. Once we all agree on what's going on with the reality/imagination barrier, we can stop talking about it. I just want it clarified so things make sense."

I created a chair and sat down. "No one's posted in the chat thread, so I better put this here to avoid double posting. "What this is- all of this- is ideas. They are meant to inter-mesh to form entertainment for both the Authors and the Readers. This whole sequence is another idea. We're creating characters that represent ourselves, based on the idea of online avatars. That's pretty much how I see this, and I feel like it makes sense. Does it not make sense to you?"

"An Avatar represents the Author, but has a different personality." I sighed. "Look, all of this is a creation of the Authors. In a sense, it's no more real then the whole Alleyverse. Without better definition, all we are is OP characters."

I turned towards JacobClaessen. "I don't know how good of an Idea this is, but we're going for it. Also, you're still talking as Jacob, you're just Channeling your Author more fully. And it's perfectly fine to put quote boxes."

The man shrugged. "Is that what you meant? That would work, I guess. You could even duplicate the spike if you split again. However," he continued, "you need me to do that."

I kept my eyes on the Freds. "Not quite. Trying to spike out of a clone will result in the clone's collapse. I think, however," I continued, "that you can do some interesting things with stamps."

I know that. You had a very good reason to create the Alleyshards, and someone else would have to have equal reason to create something like that. (Kudos to the idea by the way.) It is not outside the realm of possibility for another item that does the same thing to be created, however. We can do literally anything. The catch is that we all have to agree, or it never really happened.

Okay, let's talk about Avatar interaction here. My picture of how this works: The real Authors live in the World. It is impossible for us, as mere partial ideas, to enter this real world. We can receive information from the outside world, but only what the Authors give us. We live in the 17th shard. Our name is whatever our name is. (Ark/Hellbent/Badadah, you better make up your mind. I'm getting confused.) We oversee all of our Author's activities on the 17th shard. (Including all other RP's on this site. I call being the first person to go into an SE game, by the way.) Okay, Archer's posted, better respond. I think that if you're talking to your character face to face, you should use quotation marks. If you're communicating directly to them, don't use quote boxes. If you're Speaking to the Thread, use quote boxes. Past tense, first person, definitely. But, of course, you don't have to do this. People might get mad at you if you don't, though, so be warned. We create everything with Posts to the Threads. This makes it a bit awkward to talk sometimes, but we can usually retcon any issues. Also, Alleyshards are primarily Badadah's idea, so I wouldn't use that as the end-all most powerful items. You could create your own, if you feel like it. Timeline! Because of time travel and retcons and flashbacks and all that, we better make time four-dimensional. One dimension corresponds to Real World time, one corresponds to Mountain and Avatar retcons/flashbacks, one corresponds to the general Alleyverse, and the last corresponds to alleyverse time travel/retcons/flashbacks. The key, though is that there is a difference between Authors and Avatars although most of you seem to act like the Authors anyways. Phew, that's a lot. Better post.

I sighed. "I know that. It's just courtesy." I stopped. "Here, I'll make it simpler for you." I pointed my finger at the air, creating a doorway into my Ascension room. I stepped through onto the dais, letting the door close behind me. I closed my eyes and ascended, merging with my form above. I appeared- "You know what, scratch that. Who cares about italics anyways? By the way, you should probably change your official name. To Hellbent, I guess?" I noticed pulses of the Thread as the other Avatars talked. "You know what, I better send this out."

The man reached out and touched Fred's arm. Another Fred suddenly blinked into existence. He called out to KoTiel, not taking his eyes off the Freds. "Clones don't share a Spiritweb, but they are Connected."

The man blinked as his Connection to the others was cut off. Was that supposed to happen? he thought.

I've apparently already adopted her, according to the Alleyverse character sheet. It would be nice if someone else could help with the RP, but I'm planning something. If someone could tell me how the powers from the D&D universe work, that would be great.
