    The Witherlord moved with the darkness, melting into the shadow of the clouds. His voice hissed forth from all around Jacob, eerie and dissonant. "Fate has decreed it..." And at that, Jacob felt a chill deep in his soul.

    Good! So, of course, the most notable thing about the Smedrys is their Talents, seemingly detrimental traits that are actually incredible useful in the correct situations. Ideally, each Smedry would have their own unique Talent that translated into some in-game ability. However, the other most notable thing about the Smedrys is their complete and utter unpredictability. To represent this in game, any action an Smedry takes has a chance to be moved to any random non-Smedry individual. Is this alright?

    Hmm... My idea is a Smedrys faction, with a goal to kill all the Librarians. (Or eliminate, or whatever.) Before I go further, I'd just like to make sure that doesn't irreversibly mess up the balance or anything.

    Jacob felt his heart accelerate. "Why..." he whispered. "Why...?" The mime complimented Lunamor on her cake, although he generally preferred other genres mixed in to the flavor.

    "Ominous," called Jacob, gears turning inside his head as he tried to put together what in the name of Silence was going on. "I assume you intend to frighten me?" The Witherlord laughed. "Oh, Jacob..." He flashed a grin that showed entirely too many teeth. "If I intended to frighten you..." He took a step closer to Jacob, almost seeming to grow with the gathering darkness. "You would be terrified," he called out in a rattting, thundering voice.

    The mime helpfully threw the TV out of the window.

    The Witherlord smiled and raised his pen hand. Thunder rumbled ominously. A cold wind blew across the bleak landscape. The sky grew dark... and darker... and darker.

    All of a sudden, Xino heard a sound. It was a sort of rattling hiss, like the last breath of a dying man. From the ground in front of him oozed a twisted creature made of dark shadow. Instinctively, he blasted it. The light passed through it with ease and dissipated into a thousand wisps. "Uh, Star..." he said warily. "We are getting close, right?"

    Ah, I see. It just hadn't been crossed off yet. In that case, I'll claim third faction.

    Greetings, fellow travelers! It appears that we may be stuck here for quite a while, so we may as well get to know each other, no? My name is Yretsym. What is yours? So votes will remain anonymous until the end of the day cycle. This could have some interesting consequences. Lynch trains won't exactly be a thing, for one. People can also wiffle-waffle as much as they want. Plenty of potential for gambits where you imply you're voting for someone in the day then vote for someone completely different at night. The way this is worded raises the possibility that the elims do not have a doc to conspire in, and- potentially- are unaware of who they are in kahoots with. If this is the case, it could mean that a higher percentage of players are elims than would be normal. If the elims are in fact anonymous to each other, this role might be on either side. If it does flip elim, that's a dead giveaway that they're each operating alone. Standard protection role. Whoever this is... have fun, I guess. This could be useful in certain circumstances. Unless people can have double roles, though, and you're also secretly a Priest... Standard PM role. I might have more to say in the morning. Too tired right now to really think straight.

    Are we only allowed to create one rule, or can we pose multiple ideas? For my first idea... how about lynch mechanics? It seems like we don't often get variants on lynch mechanics. So, how's this? Instead of voting for people whom we don't trust, we vote for people that we do. Whoever gets the most votes gets to choose a victim. No idea if this will fly, but having a different sort of lynch mechanic would be fun.

    This was very, very lucky for him, as he'd eaten the poisoned ones. A dreamseed is a small piece of the Land of Dreams. It contains its own extradimensional space and can draw entities into itself. It has the power to control the sensory input of its occupants- or to be controlled by them, depending on the power of the entity contained within. But we're talking about a dreamseed matrix, which is a different thing entirely. Dreamseed matrices slot around/into dreamseeds, giving them extra/enhanced abilities. The abilities that such a matrix would have would depend on what it was made out of.

    The mime helped the unfortunate man out by removing the poison from his body, then turned back to judging. With alarm, Jacob noticed that a knife made of darkness had materialized in the Witherlord's free hand, and was quickly traveling in the direction of his heart. He couldn't be sure what effect the knife would have, but he doubted it would be good. In the same eyeblink that he'd appeared, he teleported again away from the Witherlord.

    The mime said that he reckoned that the cupcakes were delicious, but as he himself had eaten them sans sugar, he couldn't say for sure. Nonetheless, the man's seizure likely had less to do with the taste of the treat and more with the toxicity.

    The mime informed Nebula that, unfortunately, using known poisonous substances as ingredients would cost him several more points.

    The mime sampled the cupcakes, purging the poison from himself as he did so. He complimented their texture, but couldn't give them full marks because of the rather uninteresting flavor. He did warn Narrator Nebula of the poison, however.
