  1. "Are you a seller of goods?" asked Bacon cheerfully. Bold!
  2. Bacon teleported over to see what was going down at the caravan.
  3. "I suppose I do," responded Bacon. "Supposedly. Anyways. Do you have a name?"
  4. "I do not know what he wants, or how he thinks. Perhaps I did, once... but I am only a memory. Our names have been taken, and so few recollections remain..." Bacon gave himself the power to summon things and summoned a cloak for Cricket. "What... was that thing?" Nogard shuddered at the memory. "It didn't look like anything I've seen before." "An excellent plan! Portal man-" Selppaenip paused. "Hmm. Right. I don't suppose you know where we can find more of those flying bunnies?" TP looked around to see if he could find where the Great Wizard had gone.
  5. "I suppose you are only a child," said Bacon haughtily. "So I suppose I will forgive you." He dropped down from the ceiling. "I don't suppose you know what's going on here, do you?"
  6. "Not even a dinky LED, I'm afraid! But tell you what. If I ever run into a past version of you, I'll do exactly what you told me." Bacon glared at her from the ceiling. "Not funny," he said.
  7. "Uh," said Bacon. "Not ringing any bells. A staff, you say?" Bacon screamed in a very gratifying way and leapt thirty feet straight up.
  8. Bacon still did not notice.
  9. "I am certain that Onyx does not desire more power," explained the inspector further. "He has plenty of that already..."
  10. Bacon continued to not notice. "Ow," said Bacon. "That's strange! I usually remember everything! What did I do to you again?"
  11. "I'm me, of course! Who else would I be? You?" He transformed his face into Dint's briefly for emphasis.
  12. "I do not think that is what this is about."
  13. "Do you know where we are?" asked Bacon. "And what's up with that free food...?"
  14. "I think I found it! I only see one person, though. Is that normal?"
  15. "Ow," said Bacon absently. "Hey, Beosta, who are we looking for again?" "Well, the last Narrator to lose their powers in such a way was able to petition Onyx to recover it... but that was when Onyx was receiving visitors. If he won't even see you..." the inspector shook his head. "As long as Onyx remains reclusive, I don't think it's possible."
  16. "Bacon the Bard," said Bacon, recovering quickly. He bowed in return. "Magician and Narrator extraordinaire!" He conjured a top hat for emphasis.
  17. "Gah!" said Bacon, jumping. "Who are you?"
  18. "I wonder if your situation might not be even more intimate than that. But I suppose if you are sure your other emotions can keep it in check... I will have to be satisfied with that." He sighed. "I fear your visit here has only brought you pain..." He glanced at Erif, who was staring off into the distance, and Tull, no longer a Narrator.
  19. "Have you ever had Rage in your head, influencing your thoughts? Have you ever connected to Rage, drawn power from him?"
  20. Bacon gave himself incredible eyesight and examined the wagons extensively.
  21. "Perhaps..." said the inspector. "But this is not like any anger you have encountered before- it is alive. Be very, very careful, Ista. I fear this is what the destroyer wanted." "You should kill him," whispered the anger. Bacon examined the top of the mountain curiously.
  22. "What?" the inspector suddenly seemed alarmed. "And you've been using it?" "Power," whispered the anger. "Yes. We will give you power."
