    X's avatar did not respond. The spirit within it had fled, never to return. "Melody," called X's avatar. "Melody, are you there?" @Condensation

    "Strong enough to defeat a holed powerful enough to murder half a kingdom?" responded Nya. The flame washes over Jax, searing his flesh black and knocking him backwards into the rock wall. He grunts and stands up, his wounds glowing red as his power restores his flesh. In a surprise movement, he flicks his hand forward. Yellow light flashes as a burst of flame shoots out from his hand.

    His hand passed through her like misted shadow. Like she was only an illusion, or a dream.

    Nya stepped through the portal. She gasped when she saw who Fadran was fighting. "Your friend has to fight him?" she said in a voice that was half awed, half terrified. "But- he'll die!"

    X's avatar felt a subtle stirring in his mind. Something was wrong. He immediately turned to look at Melody. His eyes widened. "Don't worry," he whispered. "I'm coming." With that, he closed his eyes and stabbed himself through the heart.

    Jaxevist lands where Fadran stood a moment before. He sweeps his sword forwards, slicing at Fadran.

    "In time," said Dr. Who Octopus, fading into the shadows. "In time..." A chocolate ninja exploded from the ground!

    "There is no Xinoehp," said Dr Who Octopus cryptically. "There is only Fate."

    "Everyone's got to start somewhere, haven't they?" said Dr. Who Octopus. "Besides, Y - unlike you - isn't a Narrator." Dr. Who Octopus chuckled. "Boy, you have not seen anything yet."

    Jaxevist slows down when he sees the wall, but only for a moment. He responds by pushing hard against the ground, leaping into the air and over the top of the wall.

    "No," said the octopus, hanging off Nameless's face to look into his eyes. "You should be scared of her because she was only just created, yet she managed to kill you." His colors shifted hypnotically. "You should be scared of her because no matter how hard you search, you will never find her until she wants to be found." He leaned in uncomfortably close. "And you should be scared," he whispered, "because she does not accept your authority. And she never will."

    Dr Who Octopus chuckled maniacally. "You shouldn't taunt her, boy," he cackled. "She might get mad."

    Unfortunately for him, she was nowhere to be detected. At that moment, an octopus dropped on his head.

    Aridith claps his hands. In a flash of black light, both he and Baalhan are transported behind the opposing mirror. Jaxevist takes a step forwards. Then another step. Then another, and another, and another, until he's running at Fadran with his blade swinging.
