Is this a recurring thing, or do you normally get more than 12 hours?

Also, whatever advice I give will be skewed. My boss is a long time family friend and also my seminary teacher. I can literally say “That idea is stupid, if you want the job to get done, let me do it this way. Your method is inefficient and poorly planned.”. They actually like it when I talk back, because they think I don’t talk enough

I’ve only been working here for a few weeks, so nothing is really “reoccurring”. This is definitely the least number of hours I’ve ever gotten though.
