Just remembered something that I was gonna make an SU about and then forgot

About a week ago I fell asleep on my couch after school. Nice little nap. Kinda ended up in a weird position, was leaning on my arm weird. Some amount of time later, I woke up, and attempted to stand up. I couldn’t. It was really weird. Keep in mind, I’m still like, 80% asleep here. So I was just like “.....wasssistsss???” and kept trying to stand up. I could move, but not stand. Eventually I got more fully awake, (I say “eventually” because it felt like a long time, but in reality it was probably just a few seconds) and realized it was because I couldn’t move my arm. I had been trying to push myself up into a sitting position with my arm, and it had felt like it was happening, but then obviously it wasn’t. I managed to do a weird sit-up thing to get into a more normal position, but I still couldn’t move my arm. It was the weirdest experience. Mildly scary too. Maybe 40 seconds later it was like nothing had happened. Arm was completely fine. I never lost feeling in my arm, but I couldn’t move it. It was so weird.

It just means that when you slept you punched some of the major nerves in your arm. Some nerves are predominantly control, while others are feeling. You pinched the control nerves, but not the feeling. That is pretty much carpal tunnel syndrome, except short term and it gets better.

      Science!
