A trivial problem before the might of our science.
Step one: Adopt a small animal.
Step two: Forcibly accelerate that animals feelings of loyalty to you using emotional allomancy and other techniques.
Step three: Clone said animal and repeat step 2 a lot of times
    Step four: Spike loyalty out

Why not switch step two and step three around?

When in biology you're talking about scavengers, and you think of mistwraiths. Then you talk about energy transference and you think about how eating chicken before a match is actually not that great of a tradition (though Plate may remedy the issue, I suppose) .

For a WoF fan, talking about scavengers is doubly trippy

And Adolin could always just eat small amounts of chicken 30-60 minutes before the actual match. I usually go for a run about half an hour after lunch and I'm fine.

  3. 1: What would your power/secondary power be?

I could see myself having Prof's forcefields and Obliteration's heat manipulation, which I would totally use to create lightsabers for myself. Barring that, I'd probably have some sort of reactive evolution-type power. Both of these are enough to make me a High Epic.

    2. What is your weakness?

    Losing self-control.

    3. What is your cheesy name?

With the first set, probably some clever pun on "lightsaber". With the second, I'd name myself Flexidity.

    4. In what way does your inevitable evil manifest itself (why do ordinary people really hate you?)

Apart from murdering anyone who ticks me off, I'd also probably randomly slaughter those who fail to meet certain perfectionist expectations, such as those who have buttoned their shirt wrong, etc.

But, you would have a heck of a time getting on planes.

At least a feruchemist can actually get through security without revealing themselves as an eldritch abomination, unlike, say, a hemalurgist.

  5. As a Feruchemist, you could just sit down for an hour or so every evening and read a book while simultaneously filling your metalminds. You can fill iron, steel, pewter, tin, zinc, brass,  bronze(a bit), chromium, gold, and electrum all at the same time with little to no inconvenience. You could also fill copperminds with the book you're reading, if you wanted to keep it in your coppermind. You could also fill aluminum and duralumin if you wanted to, for whatever reason. Nicrosil, bendalloy, and cadmium couldn't really be filled this way, true, but cadmium is always a bit difficult to fill and bendalloy can easily be filled at other times(see above), and you can fill Nicrosil at almost any other time with no adverse effects(though that goes for most of the others here)

Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan. It's set in a medieval world where archery loving law enforcement travels the kingdom solving problems. There are swordfights.

Brandon Mull's Beyonders series is amazing. Two teens are transported to a magical realm where they work with a blind guy to overthrow the evil dictator. There are swordfights.

I can confirm that all of these are pretty high-quality series, along with the Lunar Chronicles. One fantasy series I can confidently say is worth your time is Deltora Quest. It's about three people who have to think and fight their way through all sorts of traps and obstacles in order to rebuild the magic bling that can defeat the dark lord.

  7. That's true

If they do have internal metalminds, the question is whether you can find it faster than they can heal. If they can heal fast enough, you won't be able to get through enough of their body mass to find it, and you end up in a deadlock what only ends once one of you runs out of metal.

  8. Rule One: Nothing beats compounding. Nothing at all.

I would say steel > gold in a combative sense, for one simple reason; I compounder's main weakness is their reliance on metal. Gold compounders have the obvious weakness of being dragged down and having their metalminds stripped, in which case they will die. However, as a steel compounder, you can escape anyone who tries to employ this tactic against you, unless they are also a steel compounder. If your opponents try to dog-pile you and take your metalminds, you can just beat them to death until there's a wall of dead bodies around you. If fighting a gold compounder, you could just frisk them for metalminds, tear them all off, and kill the person before they could even move. One other interesting possibility for metalminds that are practically impossible to strip off are Brass compounders. They could simply heat their entire body to the point that touching them would cause third-degree burns. This heat will also seep through the metalminds themselves. However, Brass compounders can still be killed relatively easily, with bullets or some such. So in a combat sense, I'd pick steel compounding every time.

In everyday life, most types of compounding are pretty helpful. Bronze lets you increase your work output a ton, brass ensures you never need to bother with blankets again(or oven mitts!), cadmium lets you become the ultimate sailor, bendalloy makes you incapable of exhaustion(with the additional benefit of improving your figure), pewter lets you perform insane amounts of physical labor, electrum ensures you'll never have to hire a psychiatrist-- honestly I could go on all day.

I will say that if I had my pick for everyday use, I'd go zinc for certain. Near-infinite stores of intellectual capability are useful in any situation.

So for example, Civil War you need to watch both previous Captain America's, both Avengers, and really almost every other Marvel movie for it to make sense.

Not true; I watched Civil War without seen only Captain America 1, Avengers 1, and practically nothing else in the MCU up to that point, and the whole thing made pretty good sense to me.

  10. Full name: Tharem Shakh

Investiture: Truthwatcher of the third ideal, awakener of the third heightening, and a skilled forger(is it okay for him to be both an awakener and a forger? If not simply ignore the awakener status)

    Nationality of the cosmere: Alethi

    Height: 6'0'

    Age: 32

    Hair color: Brown

    Eye color: Blue

Heroic history: Not a whole ton of heroism in his history... He joined the ardents at the age of 15. Though he trained with the sword, and occasionally acted as a swordmaster, he primarily follows intellectual, rather than martial pursuits. During a trip to the Horneater peaks to preach Vorinism, he found a worldhopper who had recently exited Cultivation's Perpendicularity. He ended up following the worldhopper back to Cultivation's Perpendicularity at a later time, and ultimately following them through the portal with a group of Horneaters. Following is a long saga of exploration and discovery, during which he discovered worldhopping. Many of his Horneater companions died along the way. During his time in the cognitive realm, he bonded a Truthwatcher spren name Eyre, and swore the first, second, and third ideals. Currently he has only visited Sel and Nalthis, though he intends to visit Silverlight soon. During his travels he has learned the arts of awakening and Forgery, as well as the languages of the Horneaters, the Rose Empire, Hallendren, Jah Keved, and Azir. He recently returned to Roshar.

Personality: He is very knowledgeable, having spent the majority of his life studying and reading. He seeks to control his situation by thinking quickly and calmly, and so he usually acts and speaks in a very controlled manner. He is not afraid of a fight though, and will easily transition from diplomacy to full-on war.

What brought your character here?: His feet nothing in particular. He just heard about a meeting and decided to attend.

Full name: I don't really have the time to come up with a horneater name XD. He goes by Khahk, which is the name assigned to him by Tharem.

Investiture: Fourth heightening, though unlike Tharem, he is not a skilled awakener.

    Nationality of the cosmere: Horneater

    Height: 6'4"

    Age: 28

    Hair color: Brown

    Eye color: Brown

Heroic history: He doesn't have anything especially heroic in his history. He is the second son in a horneater family, and a skilled hunter. He is currently the only member of Tharen's party of five horneaters still alive.

Personality: Khahk has an adventurous and competitive personality. He is always ready for a challenge and even actively seeks it.

What brought your character here?: Tharem
